You are left to figure it out by yourself and the lighting is horrible so I my case when I got home and saw the product on my face in proper lighting, i have to then go back and do a return. 90% of products are out of stock and whoever is the Indian woman that works there clearly has a knack for profiling. i went in to check if they had Pat Mcgrath items (which most do) and at the Makeup forever section the lady just sat there looking at me until i left, so when i moved to a different section she moved again and kept staring at me. I wish i could give this place no stars. The same 2 staff members literally asked me if i needed help an obnoxious amount of times as if they were wanting to rush me out or suspected me. I am a VIB which means i spend a ton at sephora yearly. There is no respecting employees that look at you and judge you. If you were being helpful then you would have left me alone after i stated the first time that i didnt need any help. It is just plain rude to pester. Next time i will be rude back because it happens every time i go and im always polite despite the pestering. Then the cashier gave me a nasty look when i asked for free samples while i just spent over a $100 which on the website you automatically get to choose 3 free samples so no reason for the stank face. I came here just to get my free birthday gift and walked out buying makeup setting spray and also taking home a rose face mask by Fresh because I had enough points on my card. The young lady at the register knew her stuff, any question I had she answered. It was a quick visit but a satisfying one, my free birthday girl was the Nars lip pencils, a satin one and an a velvet red one. That red one though........LIFE!!!!! read more

Unlike many of the other posts here- I appreciate when the employees greet you at the store and recommend their services. I too am part of the Insider program and shop Sephora a few times a year. I needed a new foundation today, being that I haven't been able to hang out outside in months (winter and all) Alyssa was great- she was knowledgeable, helpful, and even had some good insight on my skincare routine. She had some great recommendations on a good lipstick color as my husband was looking for a new one for me. I think I got a new favorite lipstick and defiantly had a great overall shopping experience. If I don't want help or to see people I would have just gone online. read more

I love Sephora and have spent so much time and money into it over the years, but this location is by far the worst. It's such a shame it is closer to my home but I rather drive an additional 30 minutes to smith haven or Huntington. The staff is so rude and stand off ish my last experience there was a nightmare, I had one simple return and the girl (tall curly hair small gap in teeth) had the biggest immature attitude throwing my product down making huffing and puffing noises. Horrible customer service. I went there Halloween day to make a return there was two ladies at two separate registers. One was helping a customer and the other was standing doing nothing. She didn't acknowledge me or say anything. She just let me stand there wth a miserable look on her face. I had a makeover done by makeup artist Ingrid. She was amazing. I was greeted nicely when I walked through the door and I told them I had a makeover scheduled. Ingrid listened to what I wanted done as I was going to a wedding a little later. Her work was fabulous. What a difference from when I went in and how she achieved the look I wanted. I was coerced into purchasing a pair of Lilly lashes when I went in for the Sephora brand lash which is slightly cheaper. The employee then told me if I wasn't satisfied that I could bring them back in 60 days & do a return or exchange. I got home tried them on and realized that they were so heavy on my eyes and not comfortable at all. Because of my work schedule I wasn't able to go back to return them for a little over a week. Not rushing over because the employee insisted that they have a "exceptional return policy" I EVEN QUESTIONED the employee at the time. I didn't think it sounded right. Today, when they saw that one lash was taken off the package they told me that they were unable complete the return because their policy has changed. I shop at Sephora a lot and I honestly never had this issue before. I definitely won't be coming back. If your policy has changed you should let all your employees know so they aren't giving out false statements/advice. So now I have a 30 dollar pair of lashes. If anyone would like them. I don't think that I should have to keep these lashes when I was told the wrong thing by your employee. That's bad business. read more

This is going to be long... I'm a frequent shopper at Sephora whether it's online or in store. I spend a ton of money in their stores and also do many returns. Sometimes you don't get the right product. I guess this annoys a lot of the workers there because I have never received WORSE service in a store than I did here. Completely unprofessional. I let the cashier know that I was returning and most of the items didn't have receipts (can be looked up with the Beauty Insider card). This is definitely not the first time I had done this either. So, I start pulling up my card since they usually ask for it first. She says "Give me the receipt you have" I said i'd give it to her in in a second, I was just pulling up my card. I guess she didn't like my response. She had the look of misery on her face from that point on. She does the return with the receipt. Then I give her the items that have to be returned without the receipt. I'm standing there for about 5 minutes with no interaction. I'm wondering what's going on and i'm not one to be impatient and start complaining, so I just wait. Then she says "We can't return this. I can give you store credit with your ID." I said "What? Why?" "We can't find it in the system so we can only give you a store credit." I have my purchase history up on the Sephora app and explain to her I made the purchase on April 1st. It's $50 and I want my money back. I've done returns this way before. She repeats it again. I'm now getting frustrated and ask her to look it up again. All of a sudden she goes off. "Ma'am STOP WITH YOUR ATTITUDE. I'M TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING. YOU'RE NOT LISTENING TO ME. LET ME TALK." I guess the two times she repeated herself was me not paying attention so she needed to validate herself again. I even apologized if she felt I had an attitude. I ask her to look it up again because I purchased it 20 days ago and I have the purchase history right here on my phone. I was looking at my phone when this occurred and she starts going "Ma'am LOOK AT ME. LOOK AT ME. YOU'RE NOT LISTENING. That's a different system then mine so I can only give you a store credit." She said if I had the confirmation email, she could look it up. I go to show it to her. She doesn't even look at it. She says "Does it have a barcode?" I look at the email and it didn't. She tells me AGAIN she can only give me a store credit... Now, i'm a grown woman. I was appalled that she had the audacity to speak to me like I was a child. I never raised my voice. I didn't curse at her. I was not abusive. I just wanted my money back. She could not answer me why I was able to do this before and not today. Suddenly her computer freezes and she pawns me off on the girl next to me. Now this cashier was very professional. She heard the whole interaction and assisted me with the utmost respect. As I suspected before, the girl was able to do my refund like I have done in the past without my receipt. She even used the email without the barcode. I got my $50 back. She let me know sometimes some computers don't show the purchase history. Which I believe is BS, but I wasn't going to argue with her. I thanked her for helping me unlike the other girl who didn't want to and left. I was in such shock about the way I was treated I didn't even bother speaking to a manager. Why didn't she ask for help? There were plenty of people around to help her. When you work with customers and even if you're frustrated you treat them with respect. She never even apologized for not being able to help me. I could even understand if I was cursing at her or yellling at her if she was frustrated -- but that never happened! People like her (she wasn't wearing a nametag) should not work with customers if they cannot handle difficult requests with professionalism. I will not return to this store. You will get better service at Ulta. Oh, don't bother calling customer service. The girl sounded like she didn't even care. read more

I love Sephora I am a ROUGE I spend a lot of money in Sephora. Every time I come to this location mostly in the mornings they are grill you up and down and follow you all over the store as if you're going to steal something. If I wanted to steal something I think I would've done so by now and not have spent 1000+ already.Not only that I came in the other day and I was having trouble finding my shade in the new VANISH foundation by hourglass so I decided to ask one of the girls who I assumed if she's working there she must know more about make up than I do when she was shade matching me I realized she was going towards the lighter shade but I am very tan I explained to her I didn't want to look like a ghost and she told me this was the correct shade for me so I trusted her when I came home and tried on the foundation it was 3 times lighter than my skin tone and I looked exactly how I told her I didn't want to look.
