I came to this Sephora location after work because I needed a new foundation and wanted help finding a shade that matched my skin tone. Unfortunately, part of my experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand that this is Beverly Hills and I may not have walked in looking glamorous or "high-end." I had just gotten off work and simply came in to purchase what I needed. But regardless of how someone is dressed, looks, or presents themselves, every customer deserves to be acknowledged and treated with basic respect. I had an especially disappointing interaction with an employee named Cami. I was standing directly in front of her and asked for her opinion on two foundation shades I was testing--one on each side--and which one looked better on me. She completely ignored me. She did not acknowledge me or even look at me, despite the fact that I was clearly speaking directly to her. Thankfully, another employee noticed what was happening and immediately stepped in to help me. I unfortunately did not get her name, but I genuinely appreciate her kindness and willingness to help. I also want to give a HUGE thank-you to Natalia. She was an absolute sweetheart. She was kind, welcoming, helpful, and had such a great personality. She made me feel comfortable and helped turn an unpleasant experience into a much better one. If you come to this location and need assistance, I highly recommend looking for Natalia. She treated me exactly how a customer should be treated. I also want to recognize the gentleman representing Dior who was working in the store today. I believe he mentioned it was his first day. He had black curly hair, and unfortunately I cannot remember his name, but he was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful as well. Thank you for treating me with respect and helping me. As for Cami, I really hope she reflects on how she treats customers. Working at a high-end location does not make anyone better than the people who walk through the door. You never know someone's background, what kind of day they've had, or how much money they have based on their clothes or appearance. Ignoring someone who is standing directly in front of you asking for help is rude and unnecessary. Everybody is different. Everybody is unique. And everybody deserves to be treated with respect. I went to the Sephora in Beverly Hills while getting a present wrapped at Geary's and spent almost $200 in like fifteen minutes. To be fair, I was buying a whole set of everyday makeup in travel sizes, but I was surprised by how quickly those minis added up. I don't buy makeup too often, so those travel sizes are actually quite good for me. (I'm still working on the blush I bought the day I got engaged in 2012.) I like how Sephora has them all lined up together in a little impulse buy area. Convenient and very enticing. The rest of the store is nice, too. I'm sure you've been to a Sephora before if you're reading this review. This one is in line with the others, with full inventory and a friendly staff. Sephora makes online shopping easy, but I still like to go into a physical store when I can. The Beverly Hills location has free public parking and a vibrant Rodeo Drive kind of vibe--it was quite busy on a Tuesday afternoon. 5 stars for exeptional customer service from Michelle. She was so helpful! I didn't feel any pressure to purchase certain brands. She showed me different products based on what I was looking for. I love Sephora. I am a make up and product junkie. I admittedly say so myself of my own free will. I'm working on that though so going into Sephora for me is kind of lethargic. It's almost like going to church to a certain degree not to be blasphemous, but I love trying new products. I love that I can try things. I love that people are there to help you find what you're looking for and can make great suggestions. I also love the birthday program every year on your birthday. You get a little gift it's so nice. The one thing that I wish that all Sephora would do would implement a better like air filtration system because people are trying on perfume because people are trying on things that have smells it can be overpowering and overwhelming. That is my only issue with Sephora is if they had a couple of really nice air filtration system is running through. It wouldn't be so bad But I usually know what I want and sometimes I get assistance. Sometimes I do not and then I get out but if you ever want anything, it's always at Sephora and if you don't feel like going to the store just go online and if you're part of their program, I believe you get free shipping if you're ordering a certain amount. I went in this evening, April 16, to shop their sale and found most of the items I wanted. A sales associate by the name of BONNIE went to check me out. Aside from my order I needed to place an online order as well and asked that a separate receipt be issued. She asked me why, with attitude and I told her I didn't need to tell her why. Then after paying for my purchases (over $200) she said you can take your items. She just expected me to pick them up off the counter and leave. I asked for a bag and she handed me the bag without putting the items inside. At that point I asked to speak to a manager and explained that this was the worse customer service I had ever experienced at this location. I'd been a customer since they opened the BHs location.The manager was very very nice and professional and assured me the matter would be looked into. My experience tonight tells me I will be considering taking my business to another store rather than supporting the Sephora brand with this type of customer service. read more

I don't ever write reviews, but I'm irritated enough to make the exception. Terrible customer service, it's always a mess and the sales reps are full of unnecessary attitude. I wanted a Smokey bronze Charlotte tilbury eyeliner bought the one that I thought it was but I bought the wrong color. Never used but haven't had the chance to go back until today. Apparently they changed the return policy to 30 days and I'm at 40 days...no exchanges or refunds. They can't bother to make the exception for a $32 eyeliner 10days past the return window to make a customer happy then I won't shop at a Sephora again, no exceptions. read more

This location is always pretty busy yet. 10 workers will still manage to check in and ask me if I need any help which I find nice. Sometimes it's great, when I need help, some other times I just like to browser and for new products on my own. I would say, it's be great if they would have more cashiers because the line gets long pretty quickly. My only issues are: 1) they are out of stock on certain items (but one of the girls told me which days to come in for fuller stock!) 2) on certain brands, they will carry limited colors. I really like Karen and Alexis. The artists have changed over the years but I think overall the artists are better here than at century city. Poor management at this location. The person I spoke with was neither empathetic or personable. I went into to exchange a holiday gift. The policy is 60 days for an exchange, and she said I was over. I left the store but then I realized it was 61days. Once I realized I was just one day outside the policy, I went back to try and talk to her about my circumstance. I even counted the days since I wasn't positive it was over 60 days. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have been pretty sick all of my first trimester, also experiencing pregnancy brain! I hadn't shopped in January at all given my pregnancy and the Covid surge. I explained this and I showed them that the lotion I wanted to exchange was unopened/unused with original receipt. I had picked out a purchase about double of the price of what I was exchanging, so Sephora as a company would've made money in my transaction. Instead of listening, she was cold and robotic saying no. She choose to ignore me when I told her I was pregnant and had been experiencing horrible nausea. I wish she would have stopped talking and acknowledged what I was saying to her. I would've appreciated any of the following responses, " congratulations on your pregnancy" I'm so sorry you've been sick" or "let me see if there's anything I can do." Instead, she just said no and then followed up with a lecture to me saying since (I told her) I worked in the area, that I should've come in much earlier. I felt like she completely disregarded my feelings and my circumstance, she didn't even see me as a human. I guess she expected me to come in pregnant in January, even though it was the height of the omnicron surge, and put my health my health in order to be within her ideal exchange terms. This interaction was so unpleasant it makes me reflect at shopping at Sephora. I feel bad for employees at this location, if she choose to treat a customer this way I imagine she doesn't treat the staff very well either. read more

Went in to make a purchase for wifey and did not get the same friendly service as in the Westlake Village store. One more mature lady was informative and kind, but two other younger ladies were a tad surly. Could have been the lack of AC that had broken down earlier in the day and the place was only cooled by a few blowing fans. I would think that management would be more concerned about presenting a flawless Beverly Hills image because of the location, but not so. Could have been in a mall somewhere. Service has definitely been more solicitous in other more suburban locations. Or maybe they are just sick of tourists. Prefer our local Sephora. read more
