The customer service is literally non existent to the point where I just wanted to leave altogether... No one is available for questions, workers walk around without saying excuse me and bumping into customers. I was in the store for 15 minutes and never once did anyone say hi or give me any fork of a greeting. No one bothered to help me. When I asked for help , a worker responded with a finger up telling me to wait as she sped past me and never once did she come back. If I'm spending my hard earned money here, I expect to be greeted and helped or I might as well online shop. This place is giving sephora a bad rep. I understand it's busy but more workers must be hired and the ones currently employed need to learn basic manners and how to interact with other humans with some form of decency. Oh & be ready for the cashiers to add another 15minutes to your trip due to their selling and repetitive cheesy slogans they're forced to say. Overall horrendous experience. read more

While being help by an associate this other employee took him away from me so he could help another customer which was really rude.Just because you don't look well dress they seem not to care what you are looking for. Instead of letting me know that I will get another associate to help me out they just walked away. Visited this location twice in one day and the service was drastically different. First visit was on my lunch break. I was dressed in formal dress attire. I was approached and helped promptly. The girl that helped was super sweet and recommended a few things I was looking for without being pushy. When I got home I realized I didn't like how I looked in one of the products in actual lighting not the store lighting. So I went back and returned it later that evening. Now I'm in leggings and a sweater. Messy ponytail. NOBODY approached me. Associates made eye contact and kept walking or talking. One even looked at me from head to toe and kept working. I had to literally ask the guy that refills perfume samples to help me. And on purpose I made him give me a sample of 5 different foundations just for the rude invisible service! read more

I understand that you can be a busy establishment and that there may even be times when you are understaffed, however whether or not that is the case there is a way to treat your patrons and this place needs a hard lesson in customer service. I walked into the place with the intentions of getting some products for my eyebrows. I picked Sephora specifically because I am not used to doing my eyebrows and I know that they have "professionals" that will assist you through the process. I walked in and immediately I see products for the brow. So I walk over to one of the displays and I start to look and see what they have. I noticed that a few of their employees were standing about 5 feet from me and having their own personal side conversations. So I stood there and waited because I wanted to see how long it would take for one of them to acknowledge me. After 5 minutes one of the sales women makes her way over to where I am standing. She doesn't actually acknowledge me, so I ask her if she can help me. She say "what you need girl?". I was a little taken aback because I could not tell if that was the way that she normally speaks or if this was some type of failed attempt at her trying to "black talk" me. Either way I was offended. Nonetheless, I shrugged it off because clearly she didn't know any better and I was already getting annoyed because I had to stand there and wait and not be acknowledged. I told her that I was looking for something for my eyebrows. She said "what do you want?". Again, confused by tone. I said I don't know what I want because this is my first time buying products and I don't know what to get. She said "Well you need Anastasia, they have more options" and then she walked away. Dumbfounded and confused, I stood there for a minute. A taller man who was helping someone else walked by to where I was standing. When he stopped talking I said to him, "can i ask you a question" and he put he hand up. I was in shock and I guess my face said it all or maybe he realized that he was being incredibly rude, but he then said I am helping someone and I have 2 people waiting. So I said to him, you don't need to help me, I just need someone who can. At this point I was extremely pissed off. How rude! To think that you don't respect me as a consumer, clearly, because you are showing that in your actions. At this point I said nevermind and walked out the store. I felt the need to leave this review after having a bad experience with one tall white lady that works in the skincare section. I've been here a couple times now and noticed that a very tall white woman with dark hair that works in the skincare section seems to ignore my presence every time. I was standing there for a while and could even see/hear her going up to other customers and helping them. She never came to ask me if I needed help once while I stood there. And I know she saw me cause she kept walking around her section in circles. Don't know what her problem is or what she has against me, but she completely ignored me until I went up to her and asked for help, and even then she seemed like she didn't really want to help me. I ended up spending $100, so I don't know if she thought I wasn't worth helping or what. Ironically, the cashier and pretty much everyone else that I interacted with was actually nice and others even asked me if I needed help except for this one sour old lady. I got a really bad vibe from her for some reason. She was also bragging to her co-worker while "helping" me about how she burned 700 calories at the gym...which was weird. She seemed to not even want to talk to me while she was helping me! Maybe she was jealous since I was with my hot boyfriend? Next time I see her I will definitely tell management. She doesn't deserve a job if she's gonna treat some people differently from others. It doesn't matter how many calories you burn, ugly is still ugly! :) read more

I've been here many times. I liked it at first, now i only come here because the sephora in JC P doesn't carry hourglass products. I'd like to point out that not everyone on staff is terrible (that means 1 or 2 people are actually trying to get things done) but i went in to exchange a product and of course stock up on more things my go to primer isnt available i ask one of the guys if he can get me one was totally honest with me said he was with 2 girls but would send someone over to help me. After a minute theres this woman who i believe was the manager on duty just staring at me. She saw him tell me and then decides to just stare at me until it gets me uncomfortable and right as i say something walks off and tells another girl to go on lunch. Im so over this i just pick up my foundation and the product i was going to exchange and then same woman lingers around for another 5 minutes while this insane line builds up. The first guy is the one who then gets one of the other girls to help out. My respects to the guy handling the entire place the girl at the register she worked the line quick. The rest of the bratty staff need to take a class on urgency and people skills. read more

I want to give zero stars. I went last Sunday and I got horrible costumer service. My friend walked out of the store because the service was horrible. I stayed cause I wanted to know how to do a style with eyeliner. The girl who helped me didn't get whay style I wanted. She grabbed an eyeliner started telling me how to do it. She said I'll be back and when I looked at the mirror she didn't do anything. She pretended to put eyeliner on my eye. She came back and I told her there nothing and she said really cause it's thick to me. I looked at her and said really cause it's has nothing. I will preface by saying that 5 stars are only shout outs for ALFIE and another PETITE WOMAN who chimed in and had beautiful eyes and curly brown hair (cant remember her name!) who helped my partner and me. We came in with limited time to find make-up for my partner who is male, and going to be performing on stage under bright lights and he sweats a lot. We stood waiting for an associate for a few minutes, totally ignored. Not even an acknowledgement that she would be with us in a minute or find someone to help. So I approached another woman at the back of the store to see if she could help. ZERO enthusiasm, I don't even remember her saying anything to me, but I followed her towards the front while she found someone who could help. Alfie and petite pretty woman to the rescue. After hearing what we needed, we were quickly shown a few products that worked really well on my partners face. Alfie and pretty woman applied it on him and demonstrated how water would roll off his skin and how some products reduced redness on his face. Both associated had great individual style, were personable, had great attitudes and clearly eager and happy to help. We purchased 3 products, were happy to spend money and were on our merry way. I will def stop by again if I need help and see these two in the aisles. Thank you! read more

El Segundo's Sephora has better customer service. I asked for help, and there is 3 girls standing at the entrance doing nothing. They sent me to the section of the product I requested help for and said someone would be with me shortly. It's been 10 minutes and the store is not busy at all. I'm completing this review as I wait for help. There is 2 girls helping the whole store while there's 4 just there walking around and pretending to stock I guess. Must be nice. Probably the worst location you could ever visit. Ok I lied, it is the worst location to visit. Every single time I walk into this store, I receive little to no help. When I do ask for assistance I'm told to "hold on". Which just leads to me fishing through all the large drawers underneath product displays. This store provides the most un-Sephora Iike experience of any Sephora I have been to, says me, VIB Rouge member. Corporate needs to get down here and save this store with across the board customer service training from the top down. Just read the Yelp reviews and you will see a pattern: no one available to assist, and if you do encounter a group of socializing "beauty specialists" they scatter like roaches rather than assist a customer. Unfortunately, the one sweet soul who takes pity and tries to help is inept. Visit ANY other Sephora than this one. read more

In my experience, Sephora locations vary widely in quality customer service. This is one of the worst locations. I have been there twice in the past month, none of the staff seemed interested in helping me or answering any of my questions. Marina del Rey location is much better, I think. read more

I had a good experience with the employees here. I came in to return some products from another store that were supposed to be clean but they were not. The cashier called someone to help me find new products. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The store was very crowded and, because if that, things got a little messy. Inside the for yesterday ask several associate to help me out. Most of them didn't know the product others pointed me in the direction without even assistant me thanks to one particular associate not sure of her name but she had purple or lavender hair and she was amazing she help me find everything that I was looking for and was very patient and determined to help me out I end up spending $178 that day thanks to her everyone else needs to have a customer service class !!!! because they were not helpful at all I'm sure if you look at the cameras being a manager you would see most of your Associates standing around and not assisting this is a matter that needs to be adjusted not very happy or please other than the fact the girl with the lavender hair was helpful and I think her very much!!!! read more

Buyer beware! Sephora's cash registers are rigged and the staff cannot/will not override simple return transactions. I was overcharged $31.98 for a Fenty Countour stick when credits to a gift card and credit card were never applied!!! I will be contacting the California Board of Equalization regarding their return/exchange billing practices. read more

I have been to this location several times and each time I come here the service is not as good as the other locations. However, once I was serviced by Richard/ Ricardo( Sorry about the name confusion Diva) I was very satisfied with the amount of attention I was given regarding the products I was interested in. This guy really knows his stuff and clearly loves his job! I walked in determined to buy Fenty and Richard/Ricardo introduced me to Lancome, Dior, Dr.Jart, and Sunday Riley. One of my favorite Sephoras ever! Everyone here is always super sweet and very helpful. All the managers that I have encountered have always gone above and beyond to answer my questions or locate products. They are awesome and understanding of returns and they are always updating me with upcoming events and sales. Also, whenever I have problems with online orders or my VIB account, they will call their Customer Service line for you and have it sorted out on the spot. Loyal customer here! :) read more
