The management is not nice and friendly any more. The staffs were so lazy, they just walked around without asking me if i needed any help. Just starring at you. Their return policy is not nice loke before any more. I have never returned anything. This is my first time of returning, however, they told me i could not return any more next time even i have a receipt????? That is the reason why my friend told me this store getting worse but I didn't believe her. Now, i am 100% trust her. No matter how much weight I gain, I still fit into my make-up. I'm addicted. I don't buy make-up, not really. I used to get the free stuff that came with my perfume every Christmas. And then everything else came from CVS. NO MORE! I love Sephora, as my many sales receipts can attest. I've bought everything. Yep, pretty much the whole store resides in my tiny bathroom. I'd have bought the cute little guy on the rolling chair restocking if he'd have fit in the bag. Beauty consultants have had a hey-day with the daughter. I can't call her a munchkin anymore now that she's taller than I am. Either way, at 13 I'm glad to have someone hip and fashion forward advising her. I've been a Sephora customer for years. Probably from the time I began wearing makeup. I visited this location and attempted to get assistance in finding Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty. Mind you, this is a huge store and they have plenty of employees available for assistance and despite my several attempts to get help, I was ignored. And this wasn't just moseying around looking like I needed help, this was a direct "Hi, can you help me find something?" And the employee, in response, walking in the complete opposite direction. I have over 1800 points as a Sephora "Insider" and considering that means I've spent more than $1,800 with this company, I would expect MUCH better customer service, especially at a location of this size. The reason I love shopping at chain stores is because I can expect the same high quality products and service every time. I came in looking for a new eyelash curler. They're usually kept by the brushes, but they were located on an inconspicuous small shelf below the mascaras. I had to find them on my own since the lady I asked told me that they were "somewhere near the front". I went to check out and the cashier asked if I had considered getting the Surratt eyelash curler instead of the Kevyn Aucoin. The employees are always so helpful! I came in this week for some bronzer and a new eyebrow pencil. The employee who helped me gave me tips on how to apply the makeup,and helped me decide what would look best with my complexion. Mixed experiences: some negative and some neutral. Product testers are missing, dried up, gooped up with other products, or otherwise useless. Why are so many items without testers? Marc Jacobs is missing a bunch of testers, and to a lesser extent so is Benefit, Kat Von D, and Urban Decay. The skincare area, in the back, is well stocked unlike the makeup section, but the associate who helped me wasn't that great. She would only give me three samples instead of four. She offered me fragrance or other samples but I don't want that stuff, I only want to try skincare to find out if it irritates my skin, etc. She needs to learn how to be flexible. What, is she going to get fired for giving me a fourth sample? Come on. And she didn't engage me in any dialogue about skincare, just packaged the samples I asked for and walked off. One associate came over and asked me if I needed help. She was well informed about a Kat Von D eyebrow product that they don't even carry. She had a lot of enthusiasm and product knowledge. Without her I would give this place one star. And I've seen the famous fragrance guy in action. He's good, yes. But a few strong associates don't make up for a store that's a total dump with gross or missing testers and a skincare associate who won't give me a couple drops of cleansing oil because it's sample #4 OH NO!! Next time I'll go to Nordstrom or Nieman, Sephora is officially too gross for me. read more

I generally purchase Sephora online (better VIB samples and perks) but sometimes you need to go in. Dominique was very helpful in assisting me with color matching when I decided to try a new brand of foundation. She also was not pushy whatsoever and even steered me away from a more expensive product I was looking at for something she loved more. This is GREAT customer service. This is the kind of salesmanship that will keep a client coming back to your store! Not just pushing expensive products. If I had to go back & needed assistance I would seek her out. I was passed to a manager for knowledge the sales associate didn't have on a particular skin product- she immediately steered me to a much higher priced brand that was I was currently using. Go figure! I did get it because I do love the brand- and she did give me several samples which I appreciated. The reason for 3 stars: I did have to seek someone to help me which is my experience in every Sephora I've gone to (and pretty annoying.)- I wasn't able to be matched in the powder I really wanted to try out which was strange considering my common skin and the amount of color variations it came in- and there was also an apparently bored sales person who interrupted twice to show the SA who was helping me a lipstick she wanted her to try- which is a little inappropriate when helping a customer in my opinion! read more

I came here for mascara and ended up joining a beauty contour class which was excellent and a lot of fun! This was instructor led and there were multiple stations equipped with makeup tools and different brands to try. The class was free and the instructors were very hands on! The best part of It was that there was no pressure to buy any of the products. Although I did drop a good amount of dough here, I still had a great time! read more

I'm not from dallas--I'm visiting from Las Vegas so it is my first time here. I had spent $200 few days ago in another sephora in Houston. Associate informed me I had a gift awaiting--I was surprised because I haven't shopped in sephora in a while, I normally get my products in neimans or online. I was told that they had just ran out of gifts but if I went to any other sephora they will be able to give it to me by looking me up. I said perfect I'll do that next time I'm at another sephora. Then today I happen to be at this mall. I walked in, this hideous girl elina asked me"checking out?" At the check out line. I told her I'm here to claim a gift because the other store I shopped at ran out of gifts. Girl literally turned frustrated in a second and asked me "what do you want?" I told her which I wanted then she asked"when's your birthday" I told her April. Why does it matter what month my birthday is?... I was told to come here and claim my gift. Then my fiancé got involved because he was there when I shopped at the other Sephora--then to make her look more stupid, he said u know what, my bday is this month so give me the gift and I'll open an account with you now". She then gave me the gift unwillingly. Honestly I don't know how she got this job because her makeup and skin looked absolutely disgusting and she just seemed like she hated life. I got a gift card for mother's day and I was so excited to use it... I'm an older woman and I don't use a lot of makeup but I do like specific things. I've been in this Sephora before and ended up walking out because of the attitude I got from employees... BEFORE covid . I went in today... I get it people are nervous about stuff opening up....believe me I work at a grocery store. I get it. I go in and I'm immediately bombarded by multiple employees'do you need any help with anything?' I say now thank you I'm just looking' I have my airpods in and I'm having a conversation with my daughter... and an employee literally pops up in front of me and let me tell you even with a mask on, eyes say everything. Was browsing in the skincare section and was trying out a face cream that was in an odd container. An associate approached me and rudely told me that I was using it incorrectly and told me to use a spatula for testing creams with, which she hadn't offered to me before when she asked if I needed assistance. I also had to wait a minute as two associates were having a conversation before I was able to ask where an item was. New location alert!!! They placed Sephora on the 2nd floor now above Apple but on the opposite side. This store is so BIG...twice, if not 3 times the size of the old one. It's very bright, with a nice open layout. For me it's TROUBLE because I love to spend money on beauty products. But the days of feeling crowded and overwhelmed in the other location are long gone. They did a wonderful job on this new store. Not to mention they have a whole area with dedicated stations where they host classes and everyone gets their own individual workspace, which I thought was kinda cool. Like any Sephora I've been to, this place was excellently staffed. Though it was busy, I was approached by many employees asking if I needed help. I love that. One employee let me know that if I purchased another product from this brand, I would get a freebie box. Awesome. But she didn't leave it there. She asked if I'd like to test it out first and applied the product to my face and walked me through the process. I really appreciated that as I'm a newbie to the makeup world, and it was especially comforting that she washed the brushes immediately after application. All in all, excellent experience. I love the Northpark Sephora. I had one of their makeovers (where they ask that you spend $50) and I got a ton of great info and a ton of great products out of it. I signed up for their beauty rewards program and quickly racked up enough points to be a VIP. I used to be lazy about what products I use, but I like the way the higher end products wear throughout the day, and I'm glad the sephora staff could point me in the right direction. Another huge pro is the skin ID thing they do where they match your skin tone exactly and can then make sure that you're only looking at foundations in your real color. Very helpful for girls who aren't pros at blending, highlighting, bronzing etc. I can just put on my foundation and I'm done! Also, I selected $$$ (Pricey) for this review, but it does depend on what you buy. The Urban Decay eye shadow palettes are pricey and the Nars lipsticks cost a pretty penny, but the Sephora brand makeup is very affordable, so it depends on what you go for. read more

I stopped coming here after my third and final visit. The first time I came here, I was dressed nicely and I was immediately asked if I needed any help finding something. I bought a few items that I needed and some cool things that I saw and just wanted to buy. The second time, I was not nicely dressed but one person did ask if I needed help. However, I was followed around by their staff members as if they were little dogs walking behind their owner. Seriously? I was looking for a gift for my mom and because of how awkward I felt, I took my business to Macy's and even got a discount after telling the Macy's associate what happened to me at Sephora. The third and final time here, I came with my sister and a friend. My friend was looking at the nail polish selections and my sister was looking at their facial masks and perfumes. I went up to one of their associates to ask about one of the products and he told me to go away since there's no way I would be serious about actually buying something. I went up to another associate and he came right up saying that people like me only go there to waste their time and our own time looking around and shoplifting. I was dresses nicely on this occasion too but was treated horribly by the associates here. I told my sister we were leaving and my friend went over to still buy the nail polish she had chosen. Well, that was the last and final time I went there. I threw away the Sephora card I had from the first time here and as I was leaving I was overcome with nausea that I threw up. I would have felt bad about getting sick at their store but this was the first time I didn't feel bad about this happening. I didn't even bother to say sorry and simply walked away. Also, I don't see how most of the associates standing around in a huge circle in the middle of the sales floor, gossiping, and laughing is professional. This is the worst and meanest Sephora I have ever been to! I scheduled an appointment to have my makeup done for my senior portraits for 2:00pm. I was running a few mins behind in traffic on 75 (no surprise), and I called to let them know. It was 1:52pm when I called and I was already exiting to get into the mall. I explained to the girl that I was running a few mins behind and that I would be right over. She then said, "Well if you're more than 5 mins late, we will refuse to do your makeup." I am a VIB Rouge member and spend about $500 every month at Sephora. I told her this and she said, " well, if you're more than 5 mins late, we can't help you." So I pull into the mall at 2:07, and called to tell them again that I was coming up and they refused to take me. I'm sorry, but life happens. When I spend over $1000 a year at your store, you should be nicer. Especially since, I just spent $900 there the other day. I will be returning everything I recently just bought. At the end of the day. Without packaging. I am FURIOUS! Then I will go over to Nordstrom and just re-buy the exact same things. At least they have good customer service and actually care about their customers. Thanks to the Nars and MAC counter for doing my makeup at the last minute and making me look flawless. this Sephora is by far the worst Sephora I have EVER been to. I absolutely dread going to this location, but it is closest to where I work and therefor if I ever need to grab anything last minute then I am forced to go here. I went to this location at the Northpark mall this past Friday and it was absolutely packed! I couldn't tell which there were more of..employees or customers. Every corner I turned there was an employee bumping into me and not even acknowledging me nor offering any assistance. I would say there were easily 10-15 employees. I browsed the sephora lip stains (because the website said the color I wanted was in stock at this store) and I couldn't even find the tester and the shade i was looking for definitely was NOT there. It would have been nice if someone could have offered to look in the drawer for me, or if they would be around for me to ask them. Then at the perfume wall, I was sniffing a few that I knew I liked trying to decide which one I wanted to splurge on, and nothing. Again, employees just kept pushing past me, no excuse me or help offered. I would have loved to buy my Dior perfume and give Sephora my $100, but instead I walked over to Nordstrom where I was immediately helped (and with a giant smile) even though they had a huge event going on. This is one of the biggest store in north Dallas. I enjoy coming to this location because it's huge. The only downfall is getting help. There is so many customers that finding help is almost impossible. I would suggest to come on a weekday. I got lucky and found help this past Saturday thanks to the awesome workers that day. Of course I expect it to be busy because it's a mall, it's a weekend, duh- however; because of these things I also would expect it to be fully staffed in preparation for a busy weekend full of shoppers, and everyone to be courteous and respectful, ask if I needed help, said excuse me as they knock you over....That did not happen. 2 stars here instead of 1 only bec the cashier and the woman at the door were nice, spoke, etc., but everyone else in the middle of the store and in the mix of everything clutter related (people and products) were either no where to be found for help, rude, and/or didn't greet you or asked you if you needed any help. As a very popular cosmetic and skin care company you have to be on your Ps and Qs, someone who works in retail is obviously writing this review! It was horrible. Basically, if you need help, don't bother. If you know what you're shopping for, have a wish list to check off and can figure out what you need before you arrive, you're good. If you're a casual browser, you're good! On the flip side, if you need a makeover or need tons of help or have lots of questions, go to Mac, or Macy's and you're better off. last night I consorted with sin and ended up with a huge mark of the devil on my neck. it's 77 degrees today and the only scarf I have is a MLS soccer scarf (GO TIMBERS), but sportswear isn't really part of "my brand." like many other idiotic millennials, over the past decade I have spent a considerable amount of my income on make up at Sephora and have been elevated to their highest beauty rewards category. I tried to use my own makeup skills to cover the sin mark, but made it look even more sinister and inexorable, so I decided to head to the experts at Northpark for some help. Shamefully walking through the mall, I ignored offers of free coffee and tempting sales until I reached the safe haven that is Sephora Northpark. I was greeted warmly by three very good looking employees who were eager to help me regain my innocence. A very nice person named Brenda was tasked to assist me, and performed unspeakably powerful holy magic on my throat. I walked out with my head high and with $80 worth of completely unrelated product. Thank you Brenda, and thank you Sephora. I have now reclaimed my purity and class, I will no longer walk down the path of sin!
