VERY DISAPPOINTED. First time here. Received a haircut. I was told the rate before and after. Then after I pay which was the same rate prior to cut. Left the tip then apparently there was an increased in the rate after I left the salon and additional charge was added without my permission. Beware of any additional and fraudulent changes/charges to your card. It was not approved,(scam), I will be contacting the salon for my reimbursement of the extra amount they added. I will update my review with the final result. My daughter also received a haircut and apparently the stylist didn't know how to cut layers. Choppy and didn't blend at all. They destroyed her hair. Large cut straight across right at the face :(. I highly don't recommend this place for a good layered haircut and for fraudulent changing of the prices. !!!UPDATED!!! I called the salon to get the issue taken cared of ASAP "Aracely " WOULD NOT HELP ME AND CLAIMED I WAS LYING. Was not helpful and argued with me, then said they don't need customers and hung the phone up on me. I called back and nobody would answer the phone. Extremely unprofessional and no accountability was taken for the fraud and the terrible haircut. PLEASE BEWARE. I would hate for someone else to have to experience the same situation. I had an appointment for 3:30 and sat there for 20 minutes and no one bothered to check in with me. There was also no one at the front desk for me to check in with either. I eventually got up and asked a lady who was already doing someone's hair who was i supposed to be checking in with and she told me oh i'm sorry we didn't even see you there (even though several of the workers made eye contact with me). I did eventually get my hair cut and styled and am very happy with the results. this is my second time going to them and this time it was a bit more pricey. We were walk ins and Ariceli worked her in - very accommodating - Maria cut her hair-long layers..She Loved it! I made an immediate appt. with Ariceli to get a new look! Desperately. Let me start by saying that the ladies are all very sweet and tried their best to fix the issues, but there were and still are way too many issues with my hair color services. I arrived at my appointment on Saturday July 15th for my highlights and hair cut. I was seated in my chair and before I even looked through a color guide with the hairdresser she was already in the back mixing my color?!?!? Warning sign #1 I should not have ignored. When she came back I asked to look at the color book and explained I wanted golden highlights to blend with my current color. She convinced me to do a base color so that I would have some darker shades mixed with the new highlights, I agreed to a golden brown. After sitting in the chair almost 3 hours my highlights ended up being so overly processed they were a shade of hideous grey with a tint of green. My new base color was a brassy reddish blonde color. The roots of my hair stood out since they were so much lighter than the rest of the base color of my hair. I HATED my hair so much after I left I was in tears. They told me to come back so they could fix it which I did the following Monday. I decided since my hair was so overly processed that I needed to do an all over color back closer to my natural mid-toned brown. The hairdresser on Monday was very sweet and we selected what we thought would be the best color for my hair which was a warm light brown with hints of gold undertones. I am currently sitting here with VERY dark brown hair and red undertones. Needless to say I never received what I asked for, and spent over $200 for hair color that I don't like. Just when I had been turned down by my previous hair dresser at panther city salon araceli took me in and wasn't AFRAID on taking on the challenge of doing my hair! I came in as a walk in and got the best service and was praoratized as a customer even though I didn't have an appointment. Save yourself the stress and your money. For $20 it is way over priced for a beauty school kind of haircut. Liliana did not give me the cut I asked for. She didn't even use good techniques. My hair was uneven & layers weren't visible. Unsatisfied, I returned next evening to get my cut fixed. The original stylist was not there & another stylist initially didn't want to repair it. Stating that there was no record of me being there, I asked her to check the previous day's sign in sheet. She immediately grabbed the sheet looked at it & said they had only done 4 clients & my name was not on it. She didn't even ask my name! After consulting with the first girl she said I got what I requested. After making a stink about the poor quality of the cut & the amount spent she eventually complied. She tried to explain away the reasons why I didn't get desired style. She also argued about the proper technical terminology I used. I am a licensed stylist I know terminolgy & techniques. The end result is much better however it is still noticeably uneven. I do not recommend this salon. Stylists don't know what they're doing & their customer service skills are just as bad. read more
