This is a pretty average Sephora. It's not that big, but at least it carries HudaBeauty products, which is the very popular, always sold-out brand I get the most of these days. The employees are about the same at ALL locations and I've been to enough to know...somewhat smug, disingenuine, and not that welcoming. However, it's one of my closer locations, which is why I still go. I guess unfortunately after so many multiple years of shopping these Sephora locations, you get used to them and either still go or don't. read more

Terrible experience coming to this Sephora. I came Into this store today wanting to return some sleeping pills that I purchased online called HUM beauty zzz. This bottle came with 30 capsules I had only taken it twice with resulting migraines so I decided to return. Only have using it twice it was left with 28 capsules. As I attempted to return the the cashier shows the bottle to the manager named LAURA which has extremely poor customer service skills and should not be entitled to that position. She tells me that I can't do the return because it's almost empty. I was extremely embarrassed in the way she approached me and accused me in front of customers and other employees stating that I had consumed almost the entire bottle and she could not do my return. She repeated it a couple of times, I was shocked that she would be so certain of how much I had consumed from the bottle with out even counting the pills. I was so upset she was basically calling me a liar In front of other customer. So I tell Laura "look at this point i can care less that you do this return but I am going to count these pills in front of you to prove that I only consumed two pills". So I count one by one and what a surprise it was 28. How is that almost an empty bottle with only two missing tablets. I am not the manufacturer and it is not my fault they made a big bottle for small tablets. She handled the situation poorly and As a manager she should have apologized for accusing me of lying and for something she wasn't even certain of. She was accusing me of wanting to return a almost empty bottle and should have acknowledge the fact that she humiliated me in front of other customers. People were starring it was so embarrassing. Her reaction and response to me proving myself that it had the 28 that I stated was "oh well yes I see yeah we can do the return I just didn't want to touch your pills if you kept them" and walked away. I have always loved coming to Sephora and I spend allot of money here never have I experienced a situation like this. But that LAURA so called of a manager should not be entitled to that position and needs some training on customer service. read more

So I've been a long time customer and buy a lot of products from Sephora every year. I continued purchasing products from Sephora knowing that they have a great return policy to try products and accept returns as well if it doesn't work out. However, I've also been buying Sephora products online, and never even opened or used the item, to now try to return in store and be denied a refund. Sephora.com says it's up to the store's discretion to whether or not they can accept the return or not. What kind of ridiculous nonsense is this?!!! I'm extremely disappointed and upset and will no longer support Sephora or continue business with them. Even despite being a loyal customer, they sure know how to screw people over. We were having family pictures taken and I thought I would treat myself to a little mommy makeover. I have never had my makeup done here before so I was a little apprehensive at first. The girl came over and was very sweet and was asking me questions about specific things I wanted and I feel bad because I wasn't being very much help I just told her to do what she thought was best ... I know scary right?! Fortunately for me it worked out! She did such Flawless and beautiful makeup I don't want to toot my own horn but I looked perfect for my pictures. I didn't look like that I usually do and I was so excited. Plus not to mention my husband kept taking peeks at me and told me how beautiful I looked every chance he got! I was in the store today 11/5/23 just before noon. I was looking for Hourglass No28 serum. There wasn't any on the shelf, so I opened the bottom drawer to see if there was any in there. This extremely rude product rep walks over as I put my hand in the drawer and puts her foot on the drawer and started closing the drawer with her FOOT while my hand is in there. The product rep has tattoo ( something written) across her collarbone, didn't get her name . Hopefully management knows who she is. I hope this isn't a regular behavior that Sephora allows or Hourglass if that's who she works for. read more

I ordered makeup online, and when I received it, it had a faulty pump. I took it in for an exchange, and I believe the girl who checked me out mixed up the two identical packages, and gave me back the broken one. I went in yesterday to just return the makeup and explained the situation to the cashier. She then took apart the bottle and informed me that the container was almost empty. I told her again that the pump was faulty, so if the container was nearly empty that they shipped it to me that way, and that if they are selling used makeup that I am really unhappy. She then told me that even though I used up all of the product, and even though I am attempting to return an empty bottle, she would take it back this time, but that this was the last time she would do so. I informed her that if I order something, and received a damaged or used product, or even if I just did not want it, she would take it back every time. She then told me that she would only give me store credit. When I asked if I could use it online, she said no. I then told her that I made the purchase online and that I wanted to continue shopping online. She made this big ordeal about how if I wanted my same method of payment back I shouldn't buy a product, use it, and try to get a return. I will never shop here ever again. I've read about sephora profiling people. Well it happened to me and my sisters first hand. They follow you around whispering in their head sets about you, they tag you by giving you a basket. This way they know to watch you... They follow you around like if you're going to steal. I had 3 items in my hand and told 6 different employees each 4times I did not want a basket because I know about them marking people that way. I have been coming here for almost a year. The ladies who do the the mani's and pedi's are wonderful. The problem is the manager Kevin. He is very rude to deal with and he shortens the times I schedule to add in more customers. I have spoken to the manicurists many times regarding my requests to have manicures and pedicures done one after another so that I may enjoy the time relaxing and enjoying the time at their establishment. Unfortunately, Kevin insists on rushing his employees to finish quickly and on to the next customer, which he schedules over my appointments. Today I felt my manicure was rushed and after many complaints, I will no longer come to this establishment even though the workers are great. For the money I spend here, I deserve better. read more

So my wife was looking around at make up items but all I see is dirty, unkept and unsanitary displays. The worst part of the visit was trying to get someone to assistance my wife. Two employees were just standing around and when I got one of the employees attention she told my wife that she was busy with another costumer when she had just come out the "employees only" door. Finally, two employees and a couple of earpiece notifications later, my wife gets assistance from the employee with dark hair and Ray Ban glasses. No wonder internet shopping is taking over. Here's what happened: On 3/6/18 around 8:15pm, I walked in, I grabbed a basket to put all my stuff in and apparently it looked like I was shop lifting when grabbing the products because 20 mins in, two workers pretended to help me and brought me literally to the back to be cornered! You know, I'm not what you would call a "frequent shopper" at Sephora. But I was walking around Victoria Gardens today with family when the cousin wanted to stop by to buy makeup. So I watched my 1 year old nephew, us guys hanging by the window people watching, as my cousin goes off to buy her makeup, and my 8 year old niece hovers near me looking at the perfumes. Now, I did have this preconceived notion that Sephora and other similar places were haughty and presumptuous. But a staffer had a free moment this busy Saturday afternoon and so she pointed out various different scents to my niece, treating her like a little adult. This location is popular and has all the great skincare kits, makeup nick nacks and hair products. The staff are all great and helpful and give you an earful about every product. This is the only Sephora in the area. There's no Sephora at Ontario Mills and nearest one is at Montclair Plaza. There's the Sephora inside J.C Penny but it's limited on stock. read more

Mentioned my concern to the associate who was solely color matching for Fenty about how I heard it dries to a deeper shade. She shot that down and recommended shade 330. After 3 color matches with other people, I've learned I'm actually 220. Way off. Another time I booked a makeover. Made it on time but there wasn't an associate available to check me in. When I walked in yesterday, I stood around for about 10 minutes while the associates looked me dead in my face without asking if I needed help. Earlier this month I bought the wrong shade of foundation, and wanted a sample of what I thought to be the right shade to confirm. I finally stopped one of the associates and asked her for it, and instead of making sure I got it, she brushed me off and did not alert anyone else to assist me. I'm a licensed esthetician who takes quite a bit of time to choose my skincare products. I check the ingredients and flit back and forth between products, trying to choose which ones i want. I'm a young, black and white mixed girl and am used to employees asking me if i need "help". i get it, it's what they're trained to do especially since i look much younger than I am. However! Within the 35-40 minutes I was here, one attendant asked me 5! times! if i needed help. The same woman followed me around in between bothering me. Never had anything like this happen to me before. I definitely should have said something to her when I was there, but didn't think it was worth the energy.
