Went to Brittany to get my makeup done for prom! She was an amazing listener and we had the same image in our heads for my prom look! She even went the extra mile and put bronzer on my back to cover my swim tan lines. They don't accept tips, and all you have to do is spend 50$ and they do your whole face makeup with fake lashes and all! It was easy to spend my money here because they have so much selection of wonderful makeup. She barely applied the foundation on my skin, so Im glad I got a sample to see if she's right on the color. You would think they'd say if I need anymore help, because I did. Very happy with my experience. I came I'm here looking for some facial products for my mom. Dezare was extremely helpful and nice. She then gave me advice on some foundation for my skin. I told her I had bought some here about 3 months ago, the Marc Jacobs foundation. Sadly, it makes me break out, she said I could return it or exchange as long as it wasn't more then half empty. I came back that same day to exchange for a different foundation since I've only use the Marc Jacobs one about 4 times. I know, especially working in retail and during the holidays that there's so much to do and focus on as a store, not even adding in the stressor of COVID. I had reached out to an associate who began assisting me. She called another store for me and although that store was also out of the foundation, she still went out of her way to not only find a similar foundation but reassured me that if I needed anything, I could let her know. This Sephora has really changed. I used to love coming here. I knew almost half the girls that worked there and barely any of them are there anymore. The girls who work there are SO rude and lack basic customer service. I asked the manager with the orangy brown hair if she could tell me where I can find the beauty blenders and she literally ignored me then walked away... Ok? Whenever I come here, I'm no longer greeted with smiles and hellos like how I used to be. If I could rate my experience here yesterday 0 stars I would. I went here a week ago and bought gifts for friends and family, and decided one of the gifts I purchased wouldn't suit the specific person as well. I came back to this mall 2 days ago and happened to stop in there and found something better, but didn't have my old gift to exchange with. I ended up just purchasing it and another new gift, and decided I would return the other gift at another time. That turned out to be yesterday, the very next day. There was an issue with the return, and I explained that I had made these purchases within a week and they were gifts, so neither were used. One of the employees brought someone else over to help her, to which the employee named Amber, said "Did you even purchase this here? This doesn't even look like our barcode" in the rudest tone and gave me the dirtiest look. I felt as if she tried to accuse me of fraud. I had the receipt right there and felt that it was very rude and even my boyfriend was offended. I have encountered many issues with this location, but this was the last straw. I asked a worker for her suggestion on what I should do to make my skin look warmer because my skin just naturally got a bit tanner due to it being summer. I asked her if I could just use less of the current foundation I'm using and she rudely tells me I need a whole new foundation and that everyone gets tan during this season. I don't want to buy another foundation when I still have plenty left of the one I'm using. I told her my skin will go back to being fair once the season passes. The tone in her voice was not friendly and she wasn't very helpful. She was working in the fragrance department so she referred me to another worker. So went to this store tonight, gave my VIB card and took my receipt. I didn't notice until I got home that no discount was given for VIP event. Called the store and was told that I need to show the add, I asked why I gave my card if you don't give the discount. I was also told it is store policy to see the add which is not company policy since I bought over $600 of merch in Orange county and got the discount without asking. Yes FIVE stars for Sephora in the mall. I know it's a shock but I am a guy. Walking into this store is courageous enough. With that being said, it's Christmas and the wife loves this store, perfume, make-up etc. I was greeted by an employee named Shay. Let me tell you something go and ask for her. She not only went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND of any store associate but went out of her way to help me select certain products for me to use. I got to the store around 8pm on a Saturday night and was greeted almost immediately like any other place you normally shop at. And I approached one of the girl asking them about a specific eyeshadow color and needed assistance if the sold it as a individual or in just pallets. The dumb thing about asking for assistance is that she tells me she's "zoned" in a specific section and cannot leave her zone. And kind of pointed me to where it might be. I literally asked her where she was next to the makeup section. Horrible customer service..first off I was not greeted at all and no one wanted to help I had an employee pretty much ignore me he was asking everyone how they were doing but me..I was not wearing makeup and I wasn't really dressed up either it kina seemed like they only help people based off of how they look. I've always had the worst experiences at this specific Sephora! They stereotype here and I didn't appreciate it. Just because I didn't have my makeup all done like they do in the store, I got absolutely no attention from anyone there and I had to ask at least 3 times before I got helped. On top of that, they can never get my color right and I always look like I have cake face walking out of there because the makeup is so clumpy and doesn't look right. Ever heard of natural look? If I'm paying a lot of money for makeup, I expect it to look good and for me to like it. As chaotic as it was, the beauty advisors were checking in on me and made sure I was left with no unanswered questions. I was browsing at the Becca gondola and met the rep for the actual brand. Everyone kept coming up to me and complimenting my purse and asking to see inside of it like they thought that I stolen something. Like lol ok, all you're going to find in there is my wallet, sun screen, keys, and some old lipstick from like 2 years ago. Kind of annoying considering I had stuff in my had ready to buy. I know they were just doing their job but still a tiny bit pushy and upsetting. Still though, They did provide excellent customer service. They helped me pick out the right color lipstick and new foundation. Really nice ladies and the store was very clean.
