My mom and I went into Sephora this past Sunday because I was looking for some lip stain. We were immediately greeted and directed to the product. I found what I was looking for but remembered I wanted to look for a primer also. One of the beauty experts, Heather, asked us if we needed any help and she spent about an hour with us from there answering all of our questions, she was the sweetest!! I ended up getting the Cover FX CC cream and got my mom the Peter Thomas Roth CC cream to use as a primer and color corrector. Heather gave us so much knowledge and I never felt pressured to buy. I've been coming here for years, going from makeup to makeup trying to find one that works best for my skin type. It wasn't until i met YADIRA. She took the makeup find part & went into my face cleansing process. She went in depth with getting that clear beautiful faces makeup, it's all about skin care. She literally broke down my skin care routine & explained what the products I used did & she helped me understand that everything I was doing was absolutely opposite for my skin. She took time to get to know my skin & try different products until she knew what fit best. She was super clean & constantly washing/cleaning off her hands as we tried each step (I appreciate the delicately conscious hygiene she has) we literally matched my skin to the t. She helped me understand what every product she gave me did and how I could use it with or without putting make up on. She got me using the line Boscia (amazing btw) but we tried plenty of products till she felt that it was the perfect match (perfectionist,lucky I got her). She was patient & knowledgable. She wanted to share what she knew & how it could benefit me which I was super grateful for because now my skin is beyond amazing. Second time around, I looked for her & brought my fiancé wth me, luckily on my way out I noticed her (cute lavender hair) & boom she remembered me & now she was able to provide my fiancé with her own regimen. We both went in their for moisturizer and ended up getting all the steps for our own cleansing/exfoliating & makeup. She also recommended a bb cream because we mentioned we needed a day makeup. She explained the process for our each individual make up needs to perfect a clear clean face. We left their having a full set & getting everything she recommended. My fiancé & I are so happy with our purchase & couldn't thank Yadira enough for sharing wisdom & taking her time to find us the perfect face cleaning ritual & perfecting our makeup process! So the tyler mall isn't ANYTHING compared to South Coast Plaza. The hagglers and stuff, ugh so annoying. but this sephora is like a little taste of home. the workers are not always friendly and welcoming, but when you do get one of their attentions, they are helpful. Monee is.the.best. it was really busy when i went, but she still managed to stick with my difficult situation (from my ultra review) and was extremely patient with me. I was new to foundations and she matched me with the ID technology. I ended up buying the korres foundation. she assured me that it would match because i went at night and couldn't check for myself. I used it a few times and realized it was still the wrong shade. i took it back and got re-ID'ed. I ended up taking a MUFE liquid lift foundation. Its amazing and I've been using it for months now. Sephora associates don't make commission, so its rare to find an associate who will help you completely and answer all your questions. Look for Monee. read more

I absolutely love sephora but I hate the tyler mall sephora. I usually order online because I'll do anything to avoid going to this sephora! There's a Manger or team lead there that is sore rude ! I asked her for help a couple times and she doesn't even acknowledge I'm right in front of her she just sends me to see a product or has someone else help but never even makes eye contact with me. When I do return something they always make me feel like they have to do so much more work just to return something for me. Came to this location because I was near by. It was busy as could be expected on a weekend. Before I get to the point of this review, let me preface by saying I can find myself a bit overwhelmed at Sephora as I am not very makeup savvy. It can be a bit intimidating in a store packed with people in picture perfect makeup when I myself wear minimal makeup. I appreciate quality some of the high quality products they carry and I often order online. My one star review is for the tall, short curly haired associate with sparkles on his face working on date of this review. He was helping another customer, and I patiently waited for him to finish with her. I approached him and said "excuse me" before asking my question because I have manners. He was putting something away and was cleaning his brushes as I spoke and never once looked at me while I asked about a product. He muttered something about a product and kept going about his business. I asked where I could find said product and he pointed in an opposite direction and named a brand I couldn't hear over the music and his general disinterested attitude in assisting me. I didn't even bother to look for it. Having worked in retail years ago, I know how much the demeanor of worker can impact the public's perception of a store. I will probably not return to this location. I know I'm just one person and it will have little to no impact on the store itself but I choose to spend my money elsewhere where I am not made to feel inferior. read more

The only Sephora I go to for all my high end makeup needs! The employees are usually very attentive and will always ask if you need help with anything. Although I had one experience where I wasn't helped in any way until I went up to an employee to ask for help, the employees always do their best to make you happy. Extremely disappointed! I decided to come here because I thought that would be better customer service as opposed to Rancho Cucamonga where it's always very busy. She helped me feel great about the way I looked. She helped me pick out the perfect color of the Dipbrow Pomade by Anastasia. I love Sephora and am a frequent customer, but I was quite appalled with the customer service I just received. I stepped in today looking quite casual with work out clothes and not a dot of makeup which I know leads people to judge you but it's my day off and it's been a taxing week. I stepped in and was not acknowledged once until a sales associate who had passed me several times already, noticed that I was opening a lipstick case of a color they didn't have on display and told me I could look at it while she supervised. My intent was merely to look at the color. Instead of offering to replace the empty spot with a new sample lipstick as they usually do, she supervised me as I pulled the lipstick out of the box and then back in and walked away with out saying a word. Then, I went to look at a set of makeup brushes when another associate approached and asked me if I needed help to which I let her know I was just browsing. She then stepped in front of the brushes I was looking at blocking my view until I eventually walked away. The third associate who approached was polite and apologized when I let her know her fellow associates had been rude and I had never been treated that way before. Needless to say, Sephora at Tyler Galleria will not receive another dime from me. read more

I was quite disappointed with this location. The store itself is large, clean and well stocked. My main complaint is for the customer service. I am a rouge member so I've been to a handful of locations and spend a great deal of money at sephora. I went into this location today around 2:30. I was not greeted which did not bother me much, but it's worth mentioning as the experience only became worse. I usually do not need assistance with anything but I was new to this location and wandered around looking for a specific brand. I literally kept walking back and fourth and at a normal sephora, I would have been approached several times by an associate, especially when it was quite obvious I didn't know where I was going. Not once did anyone approach me and literally 3 associates were just standing there chatting, cleaning their brushes. An associate with hot pink hair was talking to another associate with blue or purple hair and would make eye contact with me but wouldn't even take the two seconds to approach me, they continued to chat and clean their brushes. I finally asked an associate where the brand I was looking for was, I was then escorted a literal 3 feet in the right direction when she stopped and pointed towards the direction I needed to go in. She then proceeded to tell me it was "over there, behind the display" and walked away. I'm sorry but that just seemed lazy and tacky. I work in a high end salon as a regional overseer and could not even fathom pointing a client in the direction of a product instead of walking them to it, ESPECIALLY if they're asking for my help directly. This associate was by no means busy (not were any of the others) which is why I was so appalled by the gesture. I really hate complaining and writing bad reviews but this has to be some of the worst assistance I've encountered. I live in Orange County and visit the down town Disney location frequently and they're SLAMMED with guest and STILL take the time to hustle and make sure each guest is approached. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the store was well kept and because my check out was very pleasant as the associate ringing was a very sweet girl and was such a ray of sunshine in the sea of unwelcoming associates. I've noticed a lot of recent complaints regarding customer service at this location and sincerely hope management reevaluates their associates because they really do make you feel as if you're a burden or that they hate their job. read more

I was very disappointed with the lack of help offered to me by the employees at this location. I attempted to return two items I received for Christmas but was told I could not do so without the credit card. It was an online order made by my grandma, who could not find the receipt. I explained this to them and they told me there was nothing they could do. I called my grandma to make sure she didn't have the receipt and still no luck finding it. So I went back in to ask if she found it, would I be able to return it and they said I would still need her card present. I told them my grandma doesn't live anywhere near me nor does she live anywhere near a Sephora. Then again with no help, I was told they would need the card. So I'm just curious to why they didn't try harder to think of a solution for my problem, or why maybe I couldn't have been offered store credit or even perhaps an exchange. This is my local Sephora and I will be driving even more out of my way just to go to a different location. read more

I really like Sephora, the company not this store. The majority of the time that I go here the girls are extremely rude. They can't be bothered to do their job obviously. No "hello, how can I help you" or anything when you walk in. Whatever, I like to browse by myself anyway. Today I went in looking for a new foundation but I wasn't dressed all that well. I wasn't greeted or even smiled at. It was obvious that because I didn't look like I was going to buy anything nobody wanted to help me. Little did she know i was looking to spend over $100 on makeup today. I finally asked one of the girls working if she could help me and she was so rude. I was talking to her and explaining what kind of foundation I would like to try but she looked at me with a blank stare. I asked for a sample of one of the Makeup Forever foundations and she pretty much tossed it at me and walked away. You're better off going to the Sephora located downstairs inside JC Penny, they're much more helpful and friendly. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because a few weeks ago they didn't give me any problems exchanging a (unopened) product and because the cashier I dealt with was great. read more

Had to wait twenty minutes to get help. I am asking the gentleman who helped me for specific products I know what I need before I get there. He doesn't listen and puts eye cream, foundation and things I didn't ask for on my face. Did I mention this gentleman is trying to help since he's colleague applied something else prior but looked so overwhelmed that he said I can help this client you can do what you were doing before. So he obviously he had good intentions but his or his colleagues brushes or hands were not cleaned since later than day I developed a stye. I am concerned that the staff is so overwhelmed with customers that they might be taking shortcuts to sterilizing or avoiding replacing their equipment or hand washing all together. This is clearly a safety issue and would recommend Sephora to take the time to figure out what is happening. read more

To be quite frank, I don't think I'd ever come back to this sephora. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I come here a lot and every time I do, it's hard to get someone to help me since they're so busy, which is totally fine. I understand that and either just try to find my own shade or use the screen in the back to view reviews. However, yesterday, was a totally different story. I went in looking for the tarte shape tape- not knowing it's an Ulta exclusive but a kind worker from the perfume department told me how the bobby brown concealer is comparable. Trying it out and with the foundation as well (since I like similar formulas better together), I decided against it. Multiple workers asked if I needed help but I didn't this time since I was just testing a bunch of stuff but this one worker in particular kept hounding me. "Oh why don't you like it?" " why'd you put it back?" "Thought you were interested in it since you picked it up" EXCUSE YOU. I have a right to put something back. She left but as soon as I got to the register, she came back and asked why I decided against the concealer again- even though I purchased the foundation. It was very annoying and unprofessional. Hope no one else gets pressures/ hounded to buy stuff here. Pretty shocked since this has never happened before. read more

Ok. So the first time I went to this Sephora I had such an amazing experience and walked out with about $300 worth of things aka probably like 5. I'm not complaining the products were great. Yesterday, I was told you can get a hydra-facial when making a purchase of $75, or more. Hey, i'm in need of a new Juicy Couture perfume, why not buy it and ger the complimentary Hydra-facial right?! So I schedule my appointment for 2 p.m., it says you must arrive 10 minutes early, I hate being late, so I get there at 1:45, and I'm told I can either sit, or look at other products, "someone will be right with you", I sat and then at 2:00 I was told the tech was in lunch and I was like ok it's fine if she has an appointment at 2, she shouldn't take too long right? so I walk around the store some more and get told the Tech won't come back til 2:20, at this point I had been waiting for the Tech for 30 minutes, this isn't a drs office or the DMV where you wait a ridiculous amount of time to be seen. At this point I was getting unpatient because it was 2:25 and still no sight, then the lady who took my order down, told me she would be right with me and I said "I was told that 40 minutes ago" Comes 2:35 and I am finally approached and get told She would be the one helping me, I did't even get greeted, no introduction, nothing. I wasn't trying to get in a bad mood but everyone at the store was so unprofessional and I'm sure they saw how upset I was. I know I couldve easily walked out but I was looking forward to the service. The service was ok, but i know they couldve done a better job!! At least greet, introduce and apoligize to me for being late. I wasn't in the mood to complaint either. 20 minutes later and the service is complete. I guess I was satisfied maybe cus it was "free" but I waited longer for the tech than the amount of time she spend on my face. The tech "Miriam" aka Ms. Tardy emailed me the products she used on my face, but the professionalism wasn't there. I hope I get better service if I ever visit this location again. read more

I cannot stand this location. It seems as though every time my sister and I are in this store, multiple associates approach us as if we are potential thefts. There was one occasion where my sister was looking at make up near the perfume wall and an associate followed her the whole way down the isle, stopping when she stopped. I complained to the manager and she said that the associate was stationed to that area, yet there was a whole wall that she could've been working on instead of following my sister around? Then, when we went in today, my sister was planning on purchasing an Anastasia brow brush and was walking around with it in her hands and one of the associates approached her asking if she wanted her to hold onto the brush at the counter. The only reason I'm giving this location two stars instead of one is because when we need recommendations for products, the associates are always willing to help and even offer to let us sample the products. read more

I honestly wasted my time in this store. Not once did I get any help. I found someone to see if she could tel me where something was, to get told it's over there and pointed. Then told me if you need more help than that, you'll have to find someone, I can't leave the door. Alrighty. Then I get all my thingns together and head to the register. Mind you this is about $400+ worth of stuff. I give her a 20% off friends and family card that's still good for a few days, she then tells me she has to take it. I try to explain no I can use it in store continuously until the 30th. Even the girl next to her told her I was right. She said no I'm not doing that. So I give everything back and just bought a NARS compact. She doesn't even put it in a bag. Hands it to me with the receipt. So register 4 at about 11-12pm, I think her name was Lorena, you definitely need to start realizing you have a job due to customers. I honestly will NEVER go into this store again.
