She's really fun and positive and she really customized my experience to my exact needs. I needed skin care, an easy day look for work, and a sexy vamp look. She gave me the perfect foundation that doesn't require primer or color correcting (IT cosmetics) AND it was developed with input from plastic surgeons which fits me bc I'm a huge fan of that stuff- no one understands the science of aesthetics like a surgeon. I haven't posted a bad review in 4 years. I came in to get a complimentary make up session the one Sephora does before you purchase the $50. I normally do my own makeup myself but your girl likes to get pampered once in a while. The girl tht started doing my make up said she was fairly new but was a licensed cosmetologist. We talked about the look I wanted and we came to the conclusion that my look wasn't going to be possible in such a short time (a cut crease) which is completely understandable. When she was finished with my eye look I was extremely dissatisfied. I couldn't believe my eyes. She asked what I didn't like and I said it was blotchy, poorly blended and my crease line wasn't very good. Another associate came and helped her fix my eyes after about 30-40 mins she needed to leave and another associate came and finished my face. This whole process took 2.5 hours. I'm not even kidding. 2.5 hours. I'm glad that Katherine and Erika were able to fix my face. But I wouldn't get another make up service here. read more

My name is Renea and I am a beauty product addict...I am that person who loves to watch YouTube videos on makeup/skin care and always want to run out and try everything my favorite youtubers suggest. So, that being said I spend a lot of time and money in Sephoras!! I will tell you they are all not created equal! This location has the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff out of all the locations I've been to from coast to coast. I love this one so much so that I will drive from Temecula (where I live) to go to this location especially when I know I'm gonna have questions. One of the things I especially love, love about this location is the no hesitation to give samples...I've found with a lot of the locations that after you've asked for a second or third sample they look at you like you are trying to paper moon them. I wanna be like dude I'm a freakin rouge member 9 times out of 10 if I really like something I'm gonna purchase it. I like being able to try out a product first for a few days to see if I'm gonna like it, since I do have sensitive skin and a sensitivity to smells. At this location they will give you a sample of the thing you've requested and more often than not, will go on to ask you why you are interested in that product and about your beauty needs...then on top of that first sample make you another sample of something else that they think you may like better, I love that!! That is seriously how I've come across most of my go to products was from employee recommendations. Thank you, to whom ever the managers are for having such a wonderful staff. A year later, I returned to give this place another chance after talking to a rude sales associate on the phone. I just so happened to find Kathy once again. She remembered me, even after a year, and my experience was not disappointing. Her talent and memory are impeccable. I had another artist, Jennifer, help me on a separate visit not too long ago and she was great as well. I recently came to this Sephora to get my makeup done for grad pics. I have never gotten my makeup done so I was a little nervous and unsure but Rebecca did a really good job. I was very happy with the end result.. I asked for a more natural look and she delivered. Jeannette was very nice as well. I had an appointment at 11am but was there almost a whole hour early. She assisted me right away and introduced me to Rebecca. They took me in right away due to someone canceling. Sephora is great one stop shop for most cosmetics. I had purchased a couple of the Kat Von D lipsticks and although they were fantastic colors stiletto(deep bright red) and a-go-go( really cool orange) they didn't have staying power on my lips. I found that out as I used them n they would cake on my lips or bleed away. Not a good look. I was so bummed because I loved the colors and they looked great on me. I complained about the quality of the product on one of my previous trips to Sephora and the sales girl told me I could bring them back in and get a full refund if I had the reciept or merchandise credit if I didn't. How awesome is that? It had been months since I purchased the items. The exchange/ return process was flawless and I left with a fantastic new Nars fuschia pink color called schiapp that is super moisturizing and has a lot of pigment. I looked around for a replacement of that awesome Kat Von D orange but nothing seemed to be the same. The staff was great with their recommendations trying to help me match that color. They are all super knowledgeable about the brands and the strengths and weaknesses of each. Sephora has excellent customer service. read more

i went the other day looking for rare beauty blush (i know that it is sold out almost everywhere but might as well try anyway). i knew what i wanted and i ask one of the girls if they had it. she laughed in my face and said "ahaha i doubt it, but all check anyway" i have worked in retail and i have never laughed in my customers face regardless if we had a product or not. this is NOT the first time i am received with a bad attitude and poor customer service from this specific location. safe to say that the store manager and district manager needs to have a conversation regarding customer service with the sale associates from this location because the other locations in the IE area have never received me with a bad attitude and poor customer service. read more

Made me feel extremely uncomfortable and although I didn't want to make a purchase because of the way she was coming across my boyfriend insisted on getting his cologne since it had been out of stock. Love this Sephora! The only other Sephora I've really been to is the one at South Coast Plaza and that one is always packed with people! This location is pretty big, and their selection is great! Maybe it's because of the location, but they always have the "sold out" stuff you usually can't grab. Makeup artists are nice, my favorite makeup artist is the girl with the big glasses :D She's so sweet and always helpful!! She's always complimenting customers, not only on makeup, but their personal style too!! I don't really have anything bad to say, but I really wish that they would offer more samples!! I understand that they can make you any sample, but I really would prefer something thats been prepackaged from the makeup companies like how you would get them in a mail order. I was looking for a rare beauty contour stick, they had all the shades except for the one I needed so I proceeded to ask an employee I couldn't catch her name as she wasn't wearing a name tag but she had glasses, and dark hair. She proceeded to give us attitude when we asked her for the shade we needed and said all they had out was all they had. So I opened the drawer cause that didn't seem right to me especially because she gave so much attitude, and as I opened the drawer there was the shade I needed AND there was A LOT. She sees me opening the drawer and she says "if you need something you can ask" and I told her I did ask and you said you didn't have any and you did have the shade I needed. And she goes on to say we ask you don't open the drawers for safety reasons. I then said "I asked you to open the drawer in the first place and you didn't want to" I understand not opening drawers but she was so rude !! I'm always very pleased when I shop here. I'm not a super girly-girl, and the staff here have always been happy to show me how to use products, and patient too. Today, for example, I went in not overly-thrilled with the foundation I've been using for the past several months. I had gone to Bare Essentials a few days ago, told them what I want in a foundation (something that accentuates my fair skin, and doesn't look or feel heavy), and left a few shades too dark, with powder caked all around my mouth and eyes. So, I told the Sephora chick this. She explained Bare Essentials to me, how it works for some, not for others, then recommended something different for me, then applied it to my face. I decided to purchase her recommendation. I always love the cashiers, the gay guys are my favorite! Every employee in the store stopped what they were doing to wish me a happy birthday! I got a free gift (some lip glosses) and left with a big cheesy grin on my face. I've read reviews from other Sephora's which many said their customer service is lacking...this might be the ONE good thing in Riverside! read more

This Sephora location is located on the second floor of the mall across from cotton on and right above Victoria's Secret. I came here with my sister to get some things because we had a 15% off coupon. My sister needed moisturizer and I wanted the Hello Kitty brush set. We both got what we needed and then some. It's like being a kid in a candy store accept its for makeup. I walk around looking at everything and pick up everything I want. They had no more of the Hello Kitty brush set out so one of the associate gladly went into the back to get me one, what a doll. TIP: join the beauty insider. Its free and you get rewards. I think you get something free when you first sign up and every year you should get something for your birthday. They also send coupons just like how my sister and I got one. read more

I schedule an appointment for a makeover. I needed help on what products to use and techniques. My technique was very out dated. Stephanie asked great questions to make sure she understood the look I wanted. She clearly explained step by step technique on application and made sure I didn't have any questions unanswered. I never felt rushed or pressure to purchase something. She made recommendations for products that applied to me ( very educated on a variety of products ), not just products that are popular or the best sellers. I value her recommendations and will be purchasing probably everything she recommended at some point. Every associate at this location was friendly and kind. It kinda makes me sad to see that others aren't experiencing the same customer service that I am. The staff is great. I usually get all my make up from this store. Last time I was here, Yamillie was assisting me for over 45 minutes (yes I'm difficult) and was nothing but sweet. I had a return to make and I didn't have a receipt. They didn't give me a hard time for it and they assisted me in a timely manner. If you're looking for cheap, this isn't the place. You get a higher quality here but they do have nice deals as well. You are always able to join a free program called Beauty Insider. You earn points as you purchase. Overall, this is a great store. read more

I usually love Sephora, but yesterday really sucked. I was in there to find primer & a setting powder or spray. Someone did stop and ask if I needed help and I said yes, I'm looking for "my items", I usually use..., but I am completely open to suggestion. She was like, "Oh yeah you can use this (insert whatever she said), it is on the other side of the store" I was like... "Ummm, okay, but I don't know much about this product, can anyone maybe help me find something that works for my skin and such?" But she just walked away. I did go find the item she mentioned, but honestly I am not a makeup guru and my favorite thing about Sephora is usually someone will grab some products, show you how to use them, why it works for you etc... If I could give this Sephora 0 stars, I WOULD! I was shopping, in this Sephora, a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed one of the sales associates staring at me while I was browsing the Huda/Fenty display. No biggie! I thought to myself, "She works here. That's what she's suppose to do." I, then, move to the skincare section, and there she was, standing a couple of feet behind me. It was then that I noticed her shuffling products around, not really fixing anything, but managing to have her eyes FIXATED on me while doing so. I move to the BITE display, and you guessed it, there she is, ONCE AGAIN! At this point, my blood is BOILING, but just to make sure I'm not losing my mind, I walk on over to the Hourglass section. As soon as I pick up a lipstick, she comes right behind me. The moment she comes over, I turn around and stare at her. At this point, she knows I am FULLY aware of what's going and she backs off. She, then, disappears into the back of the store, and I don't see her for the remainder of the time I'm in the store. Long story short, please beware of this Sephora employee! She is short w/ terrible blond highlights. I've never had a bad experience at this location, until recently. I doubt I will go back after this incident but, if I do, and she pulls a stunt like that, again, I'm going to corporate. read more

As a way to treat myself my husband gave me a gift card to us so I finally decided to go and get some of the makeup I have been wanting/needed. Somehow everytime I do go i end up going when I am not wearing a single amount of makeup and somehow I always get the feeling that the staff think I dont know anything about makeup nor how to use it so I never like to ask for any help. Eventually after finding most of the things I needed one of the staff members came up and asked if i needed any help and after explaining my situation and letting her know what I was looking for she was kind in helping me. I like this Sephora, it isn't as big as the one I'm used to going to, but they have plenty of items in stock. I love the nail polish section! I know it's probably not sanitary for me to be painting my nails here, but it's fun, and I like trying out the many options of nail polish. Ciaté nail polish is awesome! The beads are difficult to apply without the proper equipment and I accidentally spilled a bit on the floor. Oops! For some reason they don't have OPI anymore, they're only selling Sephora's nail polish, Ciaté, and Juelp. I don't know if the same thing is going on at other Sephora's but it's a bit disappointing. All and all, OPI is still the best! (HUZZAH!) Customer Service: The workers here are super friendly! They're always attentive and helpful, I've never had an issue with any of the workers at this location. Overall: This Sephora is like any other, if anything it's lets packed, I've never seen a crowd at this location and the lines are relatively short, although sometimes I wish there were two cashiers rather than just one when there are 6 employees walking about the store. read more

Went to Brittany to get my makeup done for prom! She was an amazing listener and we had the same image in our heads for my prom look! She even went the extra mile and put bronzer on my back to cover my swim tan lines. They don't accept tips, and all you have to do is spend 50$ and they do your whole face makeup with fake lashes and all! It was easy to spend my money here because they have so much selection of wonderful makeup.
