I was looking for something new to try and found someone to help me almost immediately. She was super informed and was able to give me great recommendations. She was also thoughtful in listening to my concerns and very friendly. While she was helping me, another customer came up and asked for help. Instead of ignoring her or dropping me, she politely greeted the customer, quickly listened to the customer, asked the customer to wait by the products she was interested in, and called another associate to help the other customer. The associates didn't make me feel like they had better things to do or people to serve. The prices are a little higher than other shops, but the customer service is beyond those places. read more

Love all Sephoras. This ones a little smaller than the Valley Fair one but they do have most products. I love trying the stuff before buying and hence prefer going into the store for my skincare and makeup needs. They do provide samples but it takes a while coz the staff can be a bit slow or difficult to flag down. It has a good perfume section. read more

So we all know how it is at retail stores these days and can't get good customer service but this store, despite being mostly younger people in a mall store are so nice. I was offered help a few times and even at one point couldn't decided between two lip stick colors so I went up to two workers and asked their opinion and later found another color and asked the person checking me out for her opinion and they all gave it to me without seem bothered or annoyed. I was helped by a nice employee but when I got to the register to pay, I was met by an icy cold cashier. She was so curt that I felt uncomfortable, she has bad vibes. Then I paid with cash and she was obviously ticked off for some reason, probably because she had to cancel because she turned the machine towards me so I could see that she was unhappy with having to do that. I always receive the worst customer service at this location! I came yesterday around 6:45ish to purchase some skincare products. When I walked inside the store I was not greeted, when I was walking over to the skincare isle I passed by some associates and none of them acknowledged me or looked at me. As I got to the skincare isle I was only asked by an employee if I needed help and I said not at the moment. I noticed they were accompanied by an individual who was not in Sephora attire. I was browsing around the skincare isle for a while and needed some help. I was at the skinfix area and saw the same associate with the individual who was accompanying them. I said excuse me 3 times. The individual heard me and continued talking with the associate and not leaving them alone to help assist me. While I was still wondering around that associate was helping out other individuals and completely ignored me. After looking up the items online and debating what to get I decided to grab the items and wait in line. About 2 years ago I purchased a reusable Sephora tote that has many faces on the bag and was told my an employee if I was to bring in this item and use it for my purchases I would receive additional beauty insider points. As it was my turn the cashier already seemed annoyed and not wanting to be at work. After scanning my items and completing the transaction I asked if they added in the beauty points since I brought it my reusable Sephora tote bag. The cashier was confused and asked for another associate to help. I inform the associate about the tote and the beauty insider points and they looked at me as if I was speaking about a whole new policy and that I was crazy. They said I was the first person to ever brought it up and they never once heard about it. Even thought valleyfair was the one who had informed me about it. I shrugged it off and went with my purchase. After I finished paying the cashier left the items right next to them on the counter. They asked me if I wanted a receipt and I said email is fine. I thought they were going to put the items in my bag or offer to put it in my bag but nope. They just left the items right next to them on the counter. I looked at the items and back at the cashier and they just looked away. I had to reach over and grab all 3 of the items and put it in my Sephora reusable tote bag. No "thank you" "have a good day" nothing was said and I left with the items. Later on I tried the items and had a bag allergic reaction, I'm just going to head to valleyfair after work today and get better care over there. read more

I walked in with my friend the lady in the front asked what if we where looking for anything specific my friend told her that she was just getting a toner and that she knew where it was when we went to get the toner we were then approached by two more people back to back and we just kept repeating that we were fine and did not need help and then we were followed around the store, followed by an employee through the line and it was very clear that they where talking about us on the walkie this is not the first time I understand that stealing is a problem but i just felt uncomfortable to shop in a store where it's obvious people are assuming and talking about you I work hard for my money did not appreciate that at all!!! It's been roughly two years since I've went into any makeup store with the intention of buying everything I need for a full face. I was having a bit of trouble finding what I needed until one of the employees helped me find some eyeliner I was looking for (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name! She was the red head). I kept browsing and debating if I should buy foundation- I ended up deciding to buy some. I looked around for the nearest employee, I ended up finding Monika (not sure if that's how she spells it) and LET ME TELL YOU, if she had tried to sell me on half the store she would have made a sale! She's very personable, easy to talk to and connects with you quick. She helped to find the right shade of foundation for me and even recommended a translucent setting powder (they happened to be out of stock when I went). She was adhering wonderfully to sanitary protocols, even apologized for cleaning the clear palette before using it but I was very appreciative she took the time to make sure which of the foundation options she had would fit me best. She was absolutely wonderful, I will definitely be going back! When I went home I was applying the foundation and I will admit at first I freaked out because I forgot the foundation is supposed to blend into your neck rather than matching your skin on your face exactly, once I blended....it matched perfectly. I've been here a few times with my girls and it's so much fun browsing their selections of skincare, cosmetic makeup, and perfume. Returns and exchanges are easy even when I had one item I bought 6 months prior unused. When I finally got to using it the pump didn't work. I explained it to the manager and she processed an exchange for a working one. Pretty amazing customer care in my book! Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2016 I've been shopping at this Sephora location since it first opened. As of late I've been mostly shopping at the Sephora location in Downtown Disney in Anaheim. Came here today in search of a new flat iron. Upon entering I was greeted by the friendly employees. This Sephora has an excellent selection of makeup, perfume, facial cleansers and really just every beauty product imaginable under the sun. They had three flat irons for sale: drybar $150 sephora $39 (on sale) ghd white platinum prof styler $249 I stood there trying to decide what flat iron to purchase. I'm also thinking that I need a new hairdryer too. I cringe at the prices because I really don't want to spend $500 on a new hair dryer and flat iron. Currently, my hair is long, thick, wavy/curly and buying run of the mill hair dryer or flat iron at Target aren't doing the job. I decided to buy a hair dryer instead. In the past I've tried my mom's really expensive hair dyer (she purchased years ago at Sephora) and it cut my blow drying time in half. I went with drybar's most popular product the 'Buttercup' which retails at $195, the drybar 'Half Pint' barrel hair brush which retails for $40, drybar's 'Mai Tai' texture spray which retails for $25 and an impulse buy of Dior's newest scent 'Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming' which is intoxicatingly sweet like cotton candy :) Lauren was the sales person helping me and she was super friendly and fantastic! When I checked out, I got a new Sephora Card, spend $350 in a year and you become a VIB- this entitles you to one free makeup session, one 10% coupon, free samples, invites to special events. When you spend $1,000 in a year you become a VIB Rouge level (insert laughing emoji with tears, hoping I don't reach the VIB Rouge level). My 10% coupon expires in one month, so I guess I'll go back and use it on purchasing the drybar flat iron. I went to return two items I had purchased but the cashier told me that not only was one of my products opened already but over half was missing. It was a product I bought two of on accident so there's no way I opened it when I had another one of the same thing that I already opened and was using. Someone else must have tampered with the product, and then returned it where it was sold to me already opened and tampered with because I have not touched this product, it sat in my trunk from the time I bought it to the time I returned it. So this is super messed up and I'm looking into who to contact to make this situation right because the staff were not inclined to offer good customer service, instead i was treated like some bum who is trying to return a used item when I truly have not touched this product since I had another already. -_- super frustrating. read more

I came in this past weekend. I needed a few face masks, and realized that it was a beauty insider discount weekend. The line was long, but moved fairly quickly. The staff was fairly friendly, but why are they so stingy with the free samples? When I order at Sephora online, I have the opportunity to select at least three samples (sometimes more.) In store, they wouldn't give me any free samples or even honor my beauty insider free birthday gift. I had to go online and order something just to get my birthday freebie gift. Trust me, I am much more likely to come back and buy more if I can try samples at my leisure. At least at Blue Mercury in Los Altos, if you ask for free samples they actually fill a small bag with freebies and hook it up. I always make good on my promise and come back for the full-size products. Sephora stores: I would be more willing to give you more of my money and business if you were more willing to share the free samples. read more

This is a last resort Sephora, smaller store without most luxury items that I can find online. My personal preferred way to shop. I go here when I want something and can't wait for my 2 day shipping. I've been here a few times and the staff are lurking and very suspicious. Leads me to believe that they have had a lot of theft. Was asking about a Marc Jacobs eyeliner in a specific color. Unfortunately they only had one left. I pointed out to the sales associate that it had been used, the box was clearly opened. It was ever so lightly tested by a customer, but she kept arguing with me that it was not. I showed her and pointed out that the angle for the pencil is not the same and consistent as others. She then put it back on the shelf when I told her that I couldn't buy a $25 eyeliner that was used and just walked away. Oh well, I guess they will just sell it to someone who won't bother to take the time to look and inspect it before they buy it. Goodbye Sephora. We are breaking up today, it was fun while it lasted. I went into this location today because I bought an eye shadow palette during the VIB sale & decided against it. I never even opened it, it stayed in the box. Usually when I don't jump to use something I know I might as well return it. So the girl who assisted me in the return was rude!! She questioned me like I was being questioned for a crime. She rips open the palette out of its packaging, holds it up at every angle & keeps looking at it. Btw I checked the return policy before I left & it said "new or lightly used condition can be returned" this wasn't even lightly used. Her: Did you open this? Me: No. Her: hmm. *still examining it* did you use this at all Me: No and at this point I'm getting angry because you can clearly tell she doesn't believe me. And if I didn't open it, how would i use it? lol Her: you're sure you didn't swatch it with your fingers? *makes swatching motion with fingers* (like I'm stupid) hmmmm okay!! She returned it but she was rude & made me feel like I used it wiped my butt on it in hopes to give someone pink eye then took it back to the store to return it. I have lupus, a lot of times I don't even feel good enough to go to the store & look at things. I shop online & sometimes return. Honestly I was embarrassed because people were looking at me like wth was I returning that she needed to hold it up and check everything. I had my mother & friends with me, they were even surprised how I was treated. I'm done with sephora. Ulta will be getting my business. Went in to return or exchange some items I bought online (wrong color foundation) and the employee that was helping me said that I could no longer return items that were bought online, in store because my receipt ended with a "-01". She said it was a new policy that Sephora has. So I go home, call up sephora.com to ask them about this odd policy and to get a shipping label and they said that I am able to return it in store. So the Sephora store employee that was helping my friend and I was really nice, but it would be helpful to know your return/exchange policy with online orders. It was a huge waste of time driving to the mall only to find out I had to return it to Sephora.com which ended up not being the case. Sigh...not a huge deal (first world problems) but if you're going to be working for a huge company like Sephora, know the ins and outs before advising a customer in the wrong direction. It sucks that I can't remember her name, or maybe that's a good thing because I don't want to get her in trouble, I'd just like the manager of this location to have a meeting on returns and exchanges so this doesn't happen to another customer. read more

I usually feel like a lost puppy upon entering makeup stores. Rows upon rows of pretty colors and people testing out this and that can be intimidating. I thought I was prepared today as I had scoped out some stuff online and wanted to just come in and grab and go since I didn't want to wait for shipping. Of course I couldn't find anything that I had seen online. After some time of getting lost in the aisles, I finally approached someone for help and am so glad I did! Not only one, but two employees came to my rescue. The first girl recommended some products and then had a makeup artist put it on me to see if I liked it. The makeup artist then taught me how to put blush, slight contour, and highlighter. This was above and beyond what I was expecting as I came in looking for some CC cream. She then proceeded to run around the store finding the things that were on my list while I sat in front of the mirror admiring the pretty highlighter she just put on my cheeks. Shout out to these wonderful gals for their help! I gave this a four star as I walked around the store quite a bit without being offered any help or greetings, but overall great experience to my surprise. read more

Actually -100 stars. My mom got me a gift card at this location, then when I tried to apply it to an online order, it had no value on it. When she returned to the store to see if they needed to activate it, they refused to assist her and made her call their card customer service. Then the real fun starts. They traced the card activity based on the card number and found that the card she purchased at this store on December 22 was used in a Cincinnati, Ohio store on December 23rd, so probably one of the employees with access to card numbers is selling them online for people to use. Note that another family member purchased a Sephora card for me as well with no issues. Not sure which store she got it from. read more

Employees are very knowledgeable and they are super helpful when you can find someone to assist. I usually go to the store when I just need to get something quickly. This review is strictly for the Makeup appointment I had on 1/27/17. My appointment was made for 12:30pm so I arrived about 20 minutes early just so that they would know I was here and if they were available to start early they could. I was seated at a station and then waited for a long time. Marina was the only girl who noticed that I wasn't being helped and did her best to get someone to assist me. The girl who was going to be doing my makeup, Leticia, came to me about 12:30pm and started asking what kind of makeup I'd want, what I'm comfortable with, skin care, etc. She was very knowledgeable about the products and talked me through each one and how they should be used. My makeup came out looking amazing! I feel comfortable with makeup but not like every other girl out there so I was really loving the look. The only problem I had with this appointment was the timing. I booked the 45 minute session at 12:30pm thinking I'd be done around 1:15PM. I then had a doctor appointment at 2pm - that was plenty of time to get there. Leticia had just finished doing one eye at about 1:10pm - this was going to be way more than 45 minutes. I was a little irriated that I was booking an appointment that was supposed to be 45 minutes long. If they were going to do a quick consultation first, they should have said to arrive early (which I did and was not helped) or let you know in the appointment email that it's not ACTUALLY a 45 minute appointment as advertised. However, Leticia was great at helping me get out of the store at a decent time so I could make my appointment. She had one of the other girls grab the items I wanted to purchase and charged my card with their mobile station. Overall it was a good experience and I would do it again but would allow myself more time knowing that it'll take longer than what is said on their website. read more

Take Your Money And Shove It..... This review is only about "service" recently received at Sephora in Oakridge. It's not a comment about their products. I sometimes accompany my wife when she shops...even if it's to a "girly" place like Sephora. Usually, the staff at these stores are fairly nice to a guy just tagging along ( although it's my income which pays for most things ) We dropped by Sephora in Oakridge to buy her a bottle of perfume for our 10th wedding anniversary and the employees could not have been more friendly....to her. It's one thing for "the help" to focus on a woman walking around a cosmetics store. That's understandable. But this goes beyond focus. None of the employees looked at me...in my direction...or even toward my part of the planet ( although they do stock supplies for men which I've bought in the past ). When a young male staffer said "thanks for visiting Sephora" to my wife as we left and looked down as I passed by, I could not have felt more invisible. So what does a non-traditional shopper at Sephora need to do to be acknowledged? Shop lift? Vomit over the cash register? Hold hostages? Die on demand? Tell them they look ugly? If we can't expect reasonable customer service, how about just plain good manners? Our credit cards must be on speed dial since we've spent a ton of money at that store in the past few years. But I'm not so sure anymore. I'd give Sephora in Oakridge zero stars for abysmmal service, but it's a nice looking place so let's give them one. read more

I love the layout of Sephora Oakridge! I always find what I need in a flash, and never wait very long in line. WIN WIN! I am also very happy with their makeup application. To use this service, simply call to set an appointment. You have to spend $50 worth of product, but that is easy to do here between mother and daughter! We actually spent double. I was helped by a Nicole the other day. I was shopping to buy my wife something and had no idea what I was looking at. Nicole was so friendly and walked me through what the differences were between the makeups. Her makeup looked fabulous that day as well, which only gave me more confidence she knew what she She was so helpful and so funny too, just really easy to talk to and ask questions . I didn't feel rushed at all by her to get to the next customer, she made sure I was happy and ready before she moved on. Real customer service. Although I rarely go to places like this, I'll definitely look for her next time and would recommend anyone to use her help and expertise! Well, went here again recently, this time for good old Valentines Day shopping. Was looking to buy my wife a perfume that I would like but hopefully she would too. Was a little overwhelmed 5 minutes into it and like a Godsend, Nicole showed up to help me again! (She helped me around Christmas time too!). Nicole asked me what my wife already owned, tested new fragrances to see which ones I would like, and think I hit the jackpot once we narrowed it down. Even though I'm not really a fan of the artists that work here...cuz they pretty much know jackshit about makeup, I still wanna give this Sephora a good review for the fact that it's neat, tidy and there aren't tons of crazy makeup hooligans sampling everything and bumping into me. Like I said, the staff aka "artists" that work here don't really know the best recommendations when it comes to skincare, new hot and happening products and just really awesome techniques for makeup in general. Thank god I can do my own makeup and am an avid learner of new applications with makeup so I'm okay with "asking for help" at this store. Would I shop here again? If you don't like being in a super crowded Sephora store, then you must come to this location! I would choose this particular location over the Valley Fair in a heart beat. The lines are never too long and I'm able to walk around comfortably. Sometimes at the VF location I have to hold my breath and squeeze in between people to get around. The makeup artists here are very helpful and knowledgeable. There has never been a time when a makeup artist ignored me. When I try to look for something in particular, they usually take me to what I'm looking for versus just pointing in a direction. You can tell that they enjoy working here. What I love about Sephora is the return policy. If you purchase something online or in the store and you're not satisfied with it, bring it back for a refund. Make sure you have your receipt or else you'll get store credit or a lesser amount for the item you purchased. Make sure you carry your ID with you if you plan on returning a gift. To avoid returns or exchanges, you can ask a makeup artist for a sample of a product that you like. Don't forget to ask for some samples when you make a purchase at the register. I ALWAYS receive the best samples here. Become a beauty insider if you're not one already. You'll get some goodies and deals sent to your e-mail address. On top of that, you'll earn one point for every dollar that you spend. Once you reach 100 points in your beauty bank, you can redeem it for a deluxe sample.
