Fantastic service! We sat in the front of the restaurant, but. It outside, it was bright, airy and comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the bacon and the burger. We enjoyed the herb roasted potatoes, not very herby, but good and satisfying. The quiche was stuffed with yummy spinach, cheese, and sun dried tomatoes. It was a bit dry, but I never eat quiche, so maybe it's just right. The fresh sourdough was great with what I think was homemade jam. We look forward to retuning!

Today we had the sourdough sandwich, traditional breakfast and apple danish. Everything was so delicious!! Had to get some danish to go! Definitely looking. Forward to coming back!! Great service great food!

Good breakfast! Came back after getting a chocolate chip cookie yesterday that was AMAZING! Perfect combo of crisp and chewy. Had the croissant breakfast with avocado added. Really good. The maple biscuit sandwich was also good, biscuit a bit dense, but probably necessary to hold the weight of the sandwich. Both came with a little slice of banana bread for dessert. Pet friendly establishment for which we were grateful! Will come back for red velvet cake next time.

They have amazing food and really yummy coffee I would come here every time I'm in town so amazing

This little Cafe is Now Open Daily! 7:30am-3pm! They make great Lattes and Iced macchiatos. My daughter's favorite is the chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. They make all the items fresh, the Biscuits and Gravy is my go to-to!! Super soft crumbly biscuits and the sausage gravy is excellent! The bacon on top is a garnish and it's only $5 for the single which is filling! Great cheesecake and Banana bread! They also serve smash burgers and They have quite a few different items for such a quaint place. Service is always quick and friendly. Order and pay at the counter I'm so grateful we live within Walking distance!

Good coffee and danish, donuts, scones etc. I also heard they do a great traditional breakfast. But we didn't have the time.

Yes,That bad. A skimpy ration of what they put between the rye toast and the disgusting over pricing - I gladly welcome vs. the "effects" of it on the human body. The rudeness, teribble service, and ignorance of the owner, and staff there goes right along with the effects of what happens afterwards. I would appreciate it if I were issued a T- shirt reading " I survived Cheryl's Diner" to serve as fair warning to those who are not aware. I believe in supporting the "Mom & Pop" establishments in our communities, but I would have to bet that "Pop" suffered and exited - after dining in this place. This would be a perfect target for Chef Gordon Ramsey to visit. Can't imagine the horror he'd find in the walk in freezer. Needless to say, If given the choice- I would choose military MRE's over this futile attempt of actually considering this place a " Diner". The loud gossip between the waitresses should have been enough of an indicator to leave. The results of the effects on the human body after eating there though, will assure that I will NEVER return. Actually, I feel it's only fair to warn others of the results of this poor choice. I would seriously consider beginning a "fast" to going through all that again. I'd love to admit I am exaggerating- were that the case. If they have " negative" grades on rating the "cuissine"- This place is a banner reason why. I can only offer my appology to my date, and fair warning to any who consider eating there. I would go onto the lack of cleanliness of the restrooms- but I am truly ready to simply let the memory of the place fade, and become an automatic warning to avoid it at all costs in the foreseeable future. If I had to sum it up on one word, I rekon "Disgusting" would do.

I flew in this morning and grabbed a delicious breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon, and cheese on sourdough) on my way to the river to fish for a couple hours. The trail is in good condition and it's just under a mile to the river. No bites today, but you know what they say about a bad day fishing - still better than a good day at work. Headed back to the cafe to grab lunch before flying back to KCMA. I got the co-pilot burger and fries. Definitely plenty of food. The burger is tasty and juicy and the cook adds just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and pickles so you get a perfect bite every time! I know a lot of us stopped flying here when the food and service took a nosedive, but I'm here to say: Airpark Cafe is back! L05 is a great little airport. They have a truck with 100LL. If you want to camp overnight, there is a separate ramp next to the camp sites and they have restrooms with running water! Getting in is easy and right traffic for 17 is as close as you'll get to mountain flying without heading out to Idaho. If you're a student pilot in a slump and just need a fun flight, L05 (Kern Valley) is a great trip. You can even pick up the local weather from your phone on the ground or in the air: https://www.globalair.com/airport/apt.weather.aspx?aptcode=l05 Don't miss this great fly in food destination!
