My wife and I had to come in three times each because the dentist couldn't size our crowns correctly. Furthermore, they both fell out not long after installation. She left a huge gap between the crown and surrounding tooth which was the ultimate food trap. Terrible. Will never return to this "spa". read more

I have been seeing Dr. Angela for several years. She is by far the best dentist I have seen in my (longer than I will admit to) life. She has repaired poor previous dentistry on several occasions, and the improvements have made a big difference. She is kind, highly professional, highly skilled, and a perfectionist. There is both technical skill & knowledge and artistry. I am happy with the work long before she is. Other dentists seem quick to want to pull a tooth, Dr. Angela does everything she can to save it. There have been several visits that were scheduled for a short time, however, when finding additional issues or I have lost a filling or crown, she has ALWAYS made the time to fix everything before I left. I am really disappointed with this dental office. The staff was quite nice, but the dentist herself acted like she never had enough time to actually listen to me. I had some work done on my front teeth cause they were slightly chipped, and she took the liberty to change the entire shape of them by shaving them down way more than I expected. She didn't hold up a mirror to show me the progress, and when I tried to tell her what I wanted, she ignored me and did what SHE wanted to do. I hated the way they looked so much that had to get them redone by a legit celebrity dentist in Beverly Hills a few weeks later. I still really don't like how my front teeth look now, and I still harbor a lot of frustration for this dentist. I hope she realizes that she needs an attitude check. In addition to her attitude, she didn't do a good technical job! I took a bite of food about 10 mins after I left the dentist and the bonding chipped off immediately! On the back of my tooth! Why was there even bonding on the back of my tooth? I really wouldn't go here if you need something more than a cavity fill done. Go to someplace that actually cares about you. read more

OMG, since the move in Riverside, I ended up coming back here with Dr. Angela because I can never find a great dentist like her around. I tried 5 different ones but ended up driving all the way to Hawthorne because no one is as thorough as Dr. Angela. Oh and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The massage chair, the very soft and warm blankets, the soothing music, and the sunglasses are an amazing addition. Dr. Aileen is also very friendly. I love this place. Worst teeth cleaning experience ever, I'll never go back. She started off by recommending a tons of unnecessary works, like getting my old fillings removed and replaced, even the one that I just did last year. She offer to fill two cavities right away before teeth cleaning. I told her I'll rather get the cleaning done first before we were 1.5 hrs into the appointment already.. She started becoming sarcastic and was very rough during cleaning. She scrapped so hard and all my gums were bleeding, it hurt like hell. She barely finished, just dropped the suction tube in my mouth and went off to another patient, her technician cleaned up the work for her. My mouth still hurt and I can't eat, this is my most painful teeth cleaning experience ever. I hope I don't get any infection. I will start out with I was so afraid of dentists when I went in to dr. Angela!! But Aileen was so welcoming and she took care of me and made sure I wasn't afraid! I hated going to the dentist... so much that 6+ years has passed since I last stepped into a dental office. The reason? I am the biggest baby when it comes to needles poking around in my mouth. I cringe when I think about the sharp pain and pressure sensation when I get injected with anesthetic in one of the most sensitive areas of my body. Luckily, my wife forced me to go get a check up at this "Dental Spa" that she recently found. Now I am not a "spa" kind of guy, so I was a little resistant to the idea, but she kept on raving about how fantastic Dr. Angela Huang is so I went in for a checkup. This place is awesome!!! I can't believe how skillful, knowledgeable, and most of all gentle, Dr. Angela is. Before she did anything, she sat down with me to review my x-rays and pictures of my teeth and discussed her plan of treatment. She explained every finding thoroughly and addressed all my questions. Then, when it came to start the cleaning and repair of my fillings, her assistant Aileen asked me if I would like to watch a movie. Movie??? I guess I've been deprived all these years because I've never ever been to a dentist that lets me pick a movie or TV show to watch while I get worked on. Then came the moment I always dread... the anesthetic injection... But thankfully Dr. Angela is a superstar when it comes to this too. I don't know what kind of magic she performs, but she has the power to calm you with her words and then deliver the anesthetic without you feeling any discomfort. She told me she treats everyone like a 5 year-old, which is a welcome approach for a big baby like me. My whole appointment lasted around 3 hours. That should tell you how thorough Dr. Angela is. In fact, she needed a little more time to do 2 more fillings on my other side of my mouth so I came back a couple days later and didn't have to pay a thing. She is all about doing good, high quality work, and I never ever got the sense that things were being rushed. Finding a good dentist you can trust is like finding a good mechanic. I had a very traumatizing experience at another dental office (root canal gone wrong) a few years ago so I have a lot of anxiety whenever i think about visiting the dentist. One of my neighbors recommended this place to me and told me it was a "dental spa" and you are really put at ease while receiving great dental treatment. I made an appt. and was able to be seen the next day on a Saturday. Dr. Angela is a total perfectionist and she will really go above and beyond to make sure you are fully taken care of. My appt. was for a teeth cleaning and check up and she spent 4 hours on me because I was having problems with my bite and she was determined to fix it and get it corrected. I think most dentists would have given up after a while but Dr. Angela would not finish until it was perfect. She also ordered a mouth guard for me and decided to expedite the shipping so that I can get it ASAP. She really goes above and beyond to make sure you and your teeth get the best treatment possible. Eileen is the hygienist and she is very sweet and gentle. She is very thorough with the teeth cleaning process and Dr. Angela finishes up the job afterwards. I am very satisfied with my teeth cleaning! So I hate to do this but I am knocking off 1 star because of the receptionist. Let's just say there was nothing "serene" about her. I was already anxious coming into the office and her off putting attitude just made me want to walk right on out of there. Don't ask her any questions (even though she tells you to ask questions) because she will let out a big sigh and speak to you in a very patronizing tone. I may have not noticed it elsewhere but when you are going to a place that is called "serenity dental spa" you kind of expect to be met with peace and tranquility. She was anything but that. The best Dentist in Los Angeles! I come from a family of Dentists, and I know what it takes to be the best. After looking all over Los Angeles for a dentist that can compare to the quality, knowledge and personal trust I demand, I found Dr. Angela. She's thorough and takes time with her patients, explaining every step of your treatment, and all of your questions. Her office is kept pristine, you never have to wait in the reception, and the environment is unlike any other dentist I've ever been, RELAXING! You get bundled in a nice blanket, pillows to support your back, relaxing music, and even sunglasses to shield you from that awfully strong dentist light! So while she's hard at work, you feel like you are being pampered. To top the whole experience: she has THE TOUCH, meaning, you don't even notice when she applies injections or works on your teeth, and always consults with you as far as your pain level, or if you agree with the procedures. Her office personnel is generally great, with one exception that I think was already mentioned before in one of the comments, which is a VERY insignificant factor when you take into account the quality of services at such reasonable prices. Financially, she consults with you before going into any treatment, and has her staff double check your insurance to cover any portion of it that should be covered. I have been a patient for a long time, and will continue my treatments with Dr. Angela, even though I moved and must drive from the Valley to Torrance for my appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Angela and her staff. Dr. Angela is extremely gentle and knowledgable. She is a perfectionist who goes above and beyond to make sure things are done right and that you are comfortable. She spent almost three hours working on my multiple chipped teeth on a Friday evening, with one of those hours being past her regular closing time. The blanket, movies, and glasses would be great editions to this place IF the staff knew what they were doing. I had constant pain from a filling and instead of taking an x-ray, Dr. Angela told me I was being "dramatic." I went back for multiple visits that literally took 3-4 hours for this problem yet she was unable to detect that I needed a root canal. I went back to my childhood dentist and felt better immediately after the root canal. To call a patient dramatic is not only unprofessional, it's downright rude and I've told everyone at my job to never go to this place. Ridiculous. read more
