No Nonsense Service! I recently got assaulted at work and got my tooth chipped and my worker's comp promoted me to come here. Firstly the equipment they have is top of the line, you are able to have a clear view of your teeth after X-Rays. Secondly they did an excellent handling my worker's comp and doing their best make sure I got my coverage of the entire procedure I needed for my teeth and that's what I exactly got today. Came in, got me set and started my procedure. Please note, they are quick and deadly efficient with their procedure. Don't expect sweet talk, they are there to get your work done with high proficiency and be ready to open your mouth! Really great work and clear communication they provide, would recommend. I've been a patient of Dr. Yashari for about 10 years now. When I initially went in it had been after some years of neglect. I needed fillings, a deep cleaning and wisdom teeth pulled amongst other things. Everything about this place is great! The customer service, the location and the work. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The office is inviting. They are timely, which I love. Time is money!!!.... My mouth is always handled with care. Dr. Yashari and the team always makes sure I'm comfortable whatever service is being provided. The prices aren't bad either. They even offer multiple ways to pay which helps a lot. Thankfully, I've only need to come in for up keep for a while now. When it's time to get these babies straightened South Bday Dental is where I'll be. I just have to update review of my dentist of over 10 years. I got to admit, I get surprise at each visit with their constantly updated state of art top-notch technology. in my recent visit they had AI doing cavity detection, the AI check my gum and my bone density with unbelievable accurate measurement. They also did a radiation free scan of my teeth that checked my teeth and any abnormality in my mouth. The consistency and attention to detail pro providing top-notch dental care is second to none. Dr. Yashari has gentle hands and very easy to talk to. I am a Dental chicken and terrified of any work in my mouth. He always been so patient and gentle with me. Their work has been literally pain-free and quick. I had cracked my tooth over the weekend and made a mistake of going to a dentist that was open on Sunday and paid hefty fee for a temporary work. DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place is a heavy mix of incompetence and upsell. Every visit included an Invisalign upsell and they got increasingly aggressive/mean/eye-rolly when I declined each time. The admin people took months with insurance verification and my insurance constantly told me the office was mucking things up. On my last visit, they lost my appointment and then also informed me they weren't under contract with my insurance anymore. Would have been nice to know before I took time off work. Receptionist was pretty dismissive too. This place LOOKS great--shiny and new--but under the shiny paint is a poorly run, money hungry operation that isn't at all patient friendly. read more

I absolutely love the new rooms. Everything is sparkling clean and brand new. New chairs are so comfortable and chic I almost fall sleep with the soothing music they play. The staff are very friendly and know me by name, send me courtesy text to remind my appointments. The quality of care and attention to detail is another level is this office and what keeps me coming back for over 15 years now. I would not mind the long drive getting here because I would not let anyone else touch my teeth except for Dr. Yashari. Hands down the best dentist in LA. They accept most insurance(s), also they provide payment plans. I have been coming here for over a year and have had a deep cleaning and two routine maintenance cleanings. The other overpayment was paid by my insurance, which they will recover from the dentist. Both Anthem and Delta Dental have contacted this office, yet they continue to ignore the refund. Dr Yashari refused to release our dental records to both me and our dental insurers until we involved the Dental Board of California. His office manager even stated that since I filed a grievance with my insurance she wouldn't be able to give me our records, both unethical and a Patients Rights violation! Based on that information, I scheduled an appointment for both my brother and me. However, when my brother arrived for the appointment, he was charged $150. I called Griselda to ask about the pricing discrepancy and she denied ever quoting a price over the phone. She claimed that she never provides pricing information to patients. If there were restrictions on providing pricing over the phone, that should have been made clear from the beginning. The claim reported eight fillings, but I confirmed that the teeth had been treated years ago, either when I paid cash or under a previous insurance plan. I had a very negative experience with this dental office. I felt pressured to remove a metal filling for cosmetic reasons. It never seemed like there was anything functionally wrong with it. I see a dentist 2x/year and previous dentists have expressed that it is in good condition. During the appointment, Dr. Yashari made disparaging comments about my filling stating that the metal ruined my beautiful teeth. I felt bad about his comments, so I decided to move forward with the new filling. After getting it, I experienced persistent sensitivity to pressure. I expressed this to Dr. Yashari and he adjusted it. I waited a few months to see if my sensitivity would improve with time. It didn't, so I followed up again and asked if they could redo the filling since it was still giving me issues. They refused to help stating multiple times that the filling was fine so they wouldn't be adjusting or correcting it in any way despite my pain and discomfort. Dr. Yashari only followed up with me after I posted this review, and even then, he was only willing to help me if I agreed to delete the review in advance. I was willing to update the review after the matter was resolved, and he refused to proceed. I was no longer comfortable receiving his services, so I cancelled my appointment. It's disappointing that as a medical professional, it seems that he does not take the concerns of his patients seriously. And it's unfortunate that I'm still in pain 9 months later for a procedure that I didn't want in the first place. The positive rating on google and yelp are misleading. i had my two bottom wisdom teeth extracted here. they were growing in sideways, and one of them was causing me a lot of pain. i was apprehensive about visiting the dentist after some bad experiences in the past, but i couldn't ignore the pain so i looked around and found south bay dental studio online. when i called that morning for an appointment, they were very kind and accommodating and able to schedule me for the same day. when i arrived, parking was plentiful and easy and the inside of the office was very clean. the receptionist greeted and remembered me and got me all set up. it was a bit stressful because there was an older woman yelling and berating the staff for reasons related to a charge, and from what i could tell, the staff and doctor dealt with it far more professionally and gracefully than she deserved. as for the consultation, i was informed of all my options by Dr. Yashari, and given plenty of assurances because he could tell i was nervous. everyone was very patient and kind, and i was given time to think over how to go ahead with my extractions. i never felt pressured or forced which i really appreciated, and when the time for the extractions came, it was not an easy extraction. my wisdom teeth had to be cut out in pieces, and Dr. Yashari told me i was one of his most difficult cases, but he still managed to remove my wisdom teeth with expertise. after the extractions, i was given prescriptions and instructions on how to care for my extraction sites. everyone was very kind and helpful and i left with a positive experience. it's almost been 5 weeks since then, and my mouth has healed up very nicely and i'm super glad to be rid of the pain. thank you to everyone at south bay dental studio for your care! read more

Dr. Yashari did a consultation for an implant. During the consult, he reviewed my ct scan and told me that he could do my surgery. He charged me for the entire procedure and I was scheduled. Then he called me back and told me I had an infection and he couldn't do it. I did not have an infection. He kept the money for the ct scan and the guide for the procedure. After speaking with him, his office staff and my insurance company I could not get the money back for the guide for a procedure that he decided I was not a candidate for. I do not recommend Dr yashari and do not believe his office has integrity. read more

I was referred to South Bay Dental Studio by my coworker a few months ago. Finally a couple of weeks ago I decided to research different dentists in the South Bay and this dentist, like my coworker told me, was highly recommended. I have not been to the dentist in ages, knew I'd most likely need work, so I scheduled an exam and cleaning. Dr Yashari was friendly, very informative, and did not pressure any procedures. He showed me my X-rays and photos and described what work I needed, but did say my teeth were pretty white considering how long it's been. Working together to keep my out of pockets costs down we worked out a plan over the next few years on accomplishing all my work needed since I had a couple broken teeth etc. I decided to get my crown done that same visit to get the ball rolling. Both the assistant and Dr Yashari made sure during the entire procedure I was comfortable and in no pain, but if I was to make sure I let them know. I was truly impressed with the work they did as the Dr showed me before and after photos. The entire staff was awesome and I definitely wanted to let them know. I have regular massive plaque build up despite regular cleanings and good hygiene / diet... The team never made me feel guilty, they just helped me clean things up quickly and comfortably! Even gave me numbing gel for my gums to desensitize, so helpful. I also had chipped a tooth a long time ago grinding my teeth at night and we were able to get a massive improvement with bonding so it looks just like it did before!! Loved all my appointment reminders and clear communication. Office staff is kind and friendly. They call and text, and resolved an insurance issue for me too!
