It was silent in the salon, no music, or tv playing. Not really my vibe. And their credit card machine was not working. So I had to pull out cash instead of getting miles. 5/10 experience.

The teamwork was prompt, very friendly, and made the visit smooth from start to finish (mani/pedi). My manicure is beautiful and my cuticles are super clean--definitely shows their attention to detail. The nail quality overall was excellent--clean, precise, and exactly what I was hoping for. They don't take walk ins so you will have to call & make an appointment. The pedicure comes with a hot stone leg/foot rub which is totally amazing after you soaking your little toes in a hot bath. Then your calf's are massaged with hot oil & black stones which is very soothing all while sitting in a massage chair, the only thing missing would be a glass of wine. I can actually just relax and know my nails are going to look fire without me having to watch so super closely because I don't have to point out differences in shape or length etc from nail to nail and from hand to hand like I have in the past. My nails look uniform and everything always just looks right when he does them. He does an amazing job with my toes as well and the whole process is super relaxing and enjoyable. I do think nails in Alaska are more expensive than other places but I do feel like you get what you pay for at VIP at the same time. Between my nails and my toes there are so many steps and processes and still throughout I always feel welcome and like David wants to be doing my nails. I never ever feel like he just wants to get me done and on my way faster or anything like that. I want to say that while I do understand the general vibe that some other reviews mentioned about how nail salons aren't always super friendly but I genuinely don't get that energy here. This is one of the more inviting nail salons I've been to where I'm the most comfortable. I'm sure David has a lot to do with that for me personally though as well since I only see him :) I do want to add one more thing regarding the owners because they are super pleasant people and I remember them from a different salon that they were at about 10 years ago. I don't think I saw them for my nails at all ever because I had a couple other people that I was seeing at that time so I remember them JUST because they're some of the most pleasant people.
