I've been coming for a few months now, and I LOVE IT!!!! I came to get a mani/pedi one day and decided to get my eyebrows wax at the last minute. I met Lucy, she did my brows, I was beyond happy with my eyebrows, that I decided i would trust her with my little ones eyebrows. It was my daughter's first time getting a wax. And SHE DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! My daughter is in love with brows. Most definitely our new spot to get pampered at. !Thank you Lucy for being amazing!

Awful awful awful! Just plain horrible. A rushed job for a premium pedicure! Were cut 2 times and bleeding wouldn't stop. And was still charged the full price.

I love this place! I have been coming here for about a year now and plan to keep coming back. I love having my nails done but the typical noisy nail salon atmosphere can give me anxiety. Not Serenity though! This salon is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. They are usually playing really interesting videos of cooking or gardening that are almost like ASMR as well as soft music. All of the staff I have experienced have been nice and they always check in as they go to make sure they are doing what you want them to do (shape, length, etc) and inform you of the price you should be expecting to pay as well. Although I usually only go for acrylics and pedicures, I have seen many beautifully done lash sets walk out when I'm there as well. Thanks Serenity Nails!

I'm from out of town and I'm visiting my friend who lives in Modesto. She's never gotten her nails or toes done before, and since her birthday just passed I thought it'd be nice to get her nails done for the first time at a salon. I'm really glad we chose Serenity, everyone was so kind and accommodating even though we placed a same-day appointment. They also had an adorable dog name Rocky who was very well-trained, quiet and not disruptive. Both me and my friend were impressed with how the nail techs brought our designs to life, like they took careful notes of what we wanted and gave us exactly that. Overall I am very impressed with this nail salon and I'm sure my friend will be more than happy to come back with her friends and family!

Daughter wanted to get acrylic nails. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon & the place was busy. A worker helped me and asked if I can come back in an hour and jotted down my number. 1 pm came around, I walked in and was helped immediately. Daughter manicurist is Tuong. He is very nice, gentle and detailed oriented with his work. He would ask me questions on how I think just bc I think I'm the mom .... And I really appreciate that.

One of the best manicure services I've had in Modesto. I came in for a hard gel/liquid gel fill (I got the full set elsewhere and it was terrible). The woman who helped me was METICULOUS in making sure the shape was fixed, my nails are all shaped beautifully. The atmosphere is relaxed, calm music playing, and I never once felt rushed or ignored. My nails are exactly what I wanted, I am so happy with them. I will absolutely be coming back. read more

I have been a long time patron of this shop, namely Trinity. Whereas her work has always been good, her service and attitude have really slipped over the last year or so. The final straw for me was her snapping at me as I was paying her for services via Venmo (per her request, it was either cash or Venmo) at my last visit. She asked me to set the transaction to private, which I did. Then, she said, "and don't add any emojis." I asked, "Why?" She raised her voice and became quite snotty and said, "because I DON'T want it." This is not the first time she has been snippy, and I've always excused it, but this was the LAST time. As an entrepreneur, you don't treat customers like garbage and expect them to keep returning. My suggestion would be, especially in these times, treat people with the utmost respect. Especially loyal ones who help pay your bills. read more

I must have called 15 different places and nobody knows what hard gel is (liquid gel). I do not do acrylic at all, my nails don't like it. I was very happy to find this place. Vivi dis my nails. She was very sweet and patient which is different. Although it did take 2.5 hours for a full set. I opted for heidi to reshape for me. I would definitely be back for her. Even though I didn't ask, she offered a gift certificate for the future. I will definitely be back. The staff is very friendly and the front desk will even call for a courtesy reminder if you scheduled an appointment which is highly recommended. read more

I had my eyelashes done and it burned like hell. She glued the extensions on my skin without a gap, felt like Needles were poking my upper lid very uncomfortable. I spent $120 just for me to take it off right away. Lashes were heavy too. Technique was very poor and glue and bonding was irritant. Dont come to this place for lashes and waste a lot of money. Now I have a trauma getting somebody to lash me again. read more

Hendry and Vi Vi paid so much attention to detail like cuticle care and asked frequently if we were okay with how it was coming out. They exceeded our expectations and did a better job than what we even asked for. The main reason why we wanted to write this review (besides the amazing work on the nails) was how sweet, kind and caring the staff was here. My bestie and I visited Serenity Nail Salon for pedicures. We called and even though they were going to close soon they said to come on in. We were greeted by friendly staff. Our pedicures came out very nice. I love the paraffin wax and stone massage. We were very relaxed and treated very well. Trinity is the best! I have been going to serenity nails for 4 years now. I honestly can't say enough about this place. Trinity is excellent at her craft. Fills my nails within 30 mins, high quality strong nails but not thick.. I never break a nail! I can go a whole month between fills that's how long they last. She's a great artist and can do any design you want! If Trinity ever plans to be out for vacation, she lets me know so if I need a fill before or after I'm not left hanging. She's easy to communicate with, very responsive. I also love their pedicures. The chairs are awesome and the deluxe and up pedicures are worth the extra cost .. I love this place! The salon is very clean and following all sanitary precautions. read more

I highly recommend this place! I live in the Bay Area and have a nail salon there but ever since I've been coming here I enjoy it a lot better. So I make my way over to Modesto every 3-4 weeks to come here instead! The service is never rushed and the employees are sweet. I usually go to Trinity for manicure and Henry for Pedicure but all of them are good so it doesn't really matter. Thanks for being an amazing salon! read more

I didn't get upset it seemed like the person that did my nails was new at doing it and overall they look good from afar but up lose they look a week old and uneven. Returned to Serenity Nail Salon, on 5/3/2017, after Trinity, the nail salon owner contacted me via Messenger (05/02/17) approximately one week after my messages and contact info to her on various media. After refunding my money for the facial waxing gone BAAAAD, Trinity, the nail salon owner, suggested that I use my refunded money to "see someone" about my pustules (pus filled pimples); a direct result of their faulty protocol, possible contaminated wax, and 'communal' use of an antibiotic on my face! Trinity, the nail salon owner, also "diagnosed" my pustules (pus filled pimples) as, "looks like a rash." Linda (Trinity's mother and the waxer who performed my facial waxing) came over, looked at my still erupted face, walked away, no apology, nothing. I asked if Linda was certified to do waxing. I tend to like to just relax when I'm getting my nails done, no offense but I don't like to chat and have that whole conversation thing. So I got two technicians today that were perfect! First was Will, I got a pedicure with regular paint. Very gentle kept checking to make sure all was well gave a really good massage very thorough painted my nails beautifully. I would like to figure out how to have a little longer soak in a little hotter water, so I need to figure out what to ask for to make that happen but other than that it was perfect. Then I got builder gel with very short tips for the first time, with Terry. They couldn't be any more perfect than they came out! Exactly what I wanted. I was going to say no polish on the top but he showed me a clear tiny bit tinted top and I agreed. I want to go out my real nails, and this will get me on my way. I like that I could relax and let them do what they do so well, without having to make small talk.. outside of checking in to make sure I'm okay and that what they were doing was good. I appreciated the relaxing me time. I will be back in 3 to 4 weeks. And I'm going to look for Will and Terry for sure! Thank you for the excellent service beautiful clean salon, very welcoming.

If I could give a ZERO I would. This was my first time getting a dip manicure. I have only been to this nail salon once prior in December for gel manicure. I made appointments for my friend and myself for 2 dip manicures and 2 pedicures. While doing our manicures I voiced to my technician that my nails seemed VERY thick and that she has not done my cuticles at all prior to having me dip my nails. She said she does it after, which she DID NOT. One hour in she says my dip powder was a "mix" and something was wrong with it. So then has me place my hands in acetone to get the dip off. She grinds them off and has me pick a new color and starts all over. My friend who was next to me getting her dip, picked a red color and she voices that the red was dying her hands and making a mess and getting everywhere. Her tech told her to rinse her hands in water only and it still was stained. She then said go home and use lemons to get it out. My friend said we aren't going home so she goes to the back and comes back with a lime and starts rubbing it all over her hands! Needless to say, it didn't come out and her hands were red all day long. My second dip, was just as thick and she never did my cuticles. This is now 2 hours in and no pedicure yet. My hands were dry, destroyed, and looked very thick, uneven and unprofessional. It looks like a little child did my nails. Our pedicures were not relaxing and I know they were all talking about us, it was uncomfortable. Another girl getting her nails done next to us, wanted dip and her tech kept telling her no get gel it's better. And the girl argued with her telling her no I want dip but then finally said whatever just give me gel. It was the most horrible experience and the ugliest nails I've ever had. 2.5 hours at this place and I have to go get my nails fixed today! Do not recommend. Stir clear. read more

This place is amazing. Every time I go in all the staff is very friendly and professional. I adore the spa music they play. I just went in today and got a pedicure the gentleman that did my pedicure did an amazing job it was very relaxing. The owner I believe her name is Trinity did my manicure and suggested a dip color a new nail technique that lasts longer which I really appreciated her suggesting since I like to keep my natural nails growing strong. The owner is always very sweet. She asked and made sure i was feeling good and was comfortable since I'm 8 months pregnant witch I felt was above and beyond great customer service. The owner has done my acrylic nails in the past and they're honestly the longest lasting acrylic nails I've ever had they stay very nice for at least a month to 5 weeks. They never chipped or broke on me and I work at a hardware store as a cashier. She also does beautiful nail art. There prices are affordable and service is immaculate! I won't go any other place. Well I do honestly believe that these people put time and effort into there nails...and I am so grateful for there time and work they do. But today it was my first time there and everything was good with the pedicure but then when it got to my manicure it just kind of turned the wrong way. A young teenage boy was doing my nails and I am not sure if his new or not but he seemed kind of nervous and when he was like painting and trimming my nails he was very shaky and when he was using the cuticle tool he accidentally cut it my skin and it was bleeding a bit he was rushing a lot and I knew he was nervous and he starting rubbing oil and stuff on my hands. Although at the time I was upset I very much understand everything in his situation. So thank you so much sir for doing my nails I don't know your name but you know who your are.( And in no demeans I am not trying to leave a bad review on this I think there very, very nice people.) read more

I absolutely LOVE this nail salon. I've been going here for over a year and a half now and they never ever disappoint. Their nails are always absolutely beautiful and they listen to what you want. They are never lumpy or uneven, and the ladies there are so sweet. Their prices are super reasonable and I recommend them to everybody!! This is my new go to nail salon! All the ladies here are SO nice. Trinity did my nails and it is my first gel manicure and it looks perfect! Not to mention, I called and they were able to get me in 30 minutes later, as well as the entire appointment took a total of 40 minutes! I felt this tech was extremely unprofessional. Not allowing me to do the most basic request is uncalled for. She wastrying to cut corners to speed up my service.
