There is nothing worse than making an appointment and getting there and they look at you like "oh yeah, I forgot". Had appointments for 4 people. Three people started getting their pedis right away. One of us had to wait and wait and then they had the nerve to start on a customer who had just walked in. The salon became very busy. They were more concerned with not losing customers than paying attention to the customers they already had. I find this a huge problem in all salons. My first time here was perfect I don't know what happened this time. When I walked in I was greeted and immediately seated. I asked for a basic pedicure and only gel for my nails. But then they charged me for manicure when I never asked for it. I didn't like that but I just said wherever. Just visited Serenity Nails here in Tucker. It's located in the shopping center on Lawrenceville Highway at the intersection with LaVista Road, where Walgreens, Starbucks, and Firehouse Subs are -- across from Kofer Crossing where Kroger, Homegoods, Sally Beauty, and Walmart are located. I came across Serenity here on Yelp when another local salon was unable to fit me in for a pedicure today. I called and they said no problem being a walk-in; they could fit me in easily. It was a very pleasant experience, and the nail tech was so nice (did not catch her name - sorry!). Oh wow - I love the massage chair! Their pricing is right in line with other nail & waxing salons. Now my toes look like they belong to a human being! The checkout was easy, and when I was there I signed up for their online check-in via Envie for future visits, plus got a frequent visitor card; after 5 visits you get $5.00 off the 6th visit! Quick and clean!! I haven't gone into a nail shop since the beginning of quarantine, so this was my first venture out. I didn't know what to expect. There a sign posted on the door abt the importance of practicing all precautions during this COVID-19 time. Everyone has to wear a mask during services. When I walked in I was asked to wash my hands at the back of the shop. The shop looks new and was very clean and bright! I got the Special pedicure ($27) and tried SNS ($32) for the first time. One woman completed my pedicure while another woman completed my hands. I'm so used to doing them separately that it was nice to have both services done simultaneously. I recently made an appointment for myself and 3 of my family members for SNS nails. I'm always a little nervous to get SNS done at a new place because I feel like it's really easy to mess up if not done correctly. We were able to get an appointment pretty easily and the woman who I spoke over the phone with was nice. When we got there, we were seated pretty quickly and began looking over the colors. They had a fairly large selection which was great. We did have a bit of a wait before anyone actually started working on our nails, but it was ok since we were chatting and drinking the complimentary wine :). The ladies who did our nails, Helen, Katie, and Amy were all fantastic! Helen did my nails and she was very nice, easy to talk to, and efficient. Everyone did a great job and we were really happy with how our nails looked at the end. Also the price we paid was one of the cheapest I've ever seen. Maybe it's because they're relatively new? This place is horrible! I took my daughter here for the second time and both times I had to explain to the nail technician that her nails are way to big and fat. The owner tells me that if she wants them narrowed down that I would have to pay $5.00 more with a very ugly nasty disposition. I work in customer service and I couldn't believe that this was the owner that I was speaking to. She in no way form or fashion was trying to fix the issue. This place was awful i got SNS and when i told her i wanted them shaved down thin she told me she couldn't do that?? She cut almost every finger on my hand and then had the nerve to tell me to keep still, i have never been cut once by any nail tech ever, it's baffling to me that she managed to cut all of them. She kept rubbing alcohol on the cuts, I'm assuming so that i wouldn't notice the bleeding. 24 hours later my hands and all my fingers are completely dried out and peeling i don't know what the fuck she did to my hands the only thing stopping me from going to get these taken off is the pain It would cause me, i have to wait for my cuticles to heal. Don't even get me started on my mother's nails she got acrylic and they didn't even paint her nails after she asked them 4 times they literally just stuck the plastic nails on put acrylic over It and sent her on her way didn't even sand them down. I've been patronizing Serenity Nails for 7 or 8 yrs and was very disappointed and frustrated with my experience today at the shop. I began going to Serenity when they were located on N. Highland Ave. I've watched the shop go through a lot changes and a slew of nail techs. Through it all, I continued to support the shop. Eventually, the owner opened a second location (Tucker) and sold the N. Highland store. However, because I was very happy with the nail tech, I decided to make the long trek to Tucker. Because I drive a long distance to get to the shop, I always make an appt and today was no different. I called on Monday for a 5:30 pm appt on Tuesday with Tina. No problem... appt made. I get there today and they tell me Tina is working with another client because my appt was at 5. No... it was 5:30. After she (I believe it was the owner's sister) continues to tell me that I was late, I walk to Tina to find out if she was going to see me. She tells me it will be an hour before she can service me. I'm fuming. I just drove 40 mins in rush hour traffic. They didn't attempt to make other accommodations nor provide a solution. Needless to say, I didn't wait the hour nor will I be returning. This was a very unprofessional experience and not how you treat a loyal customer. I'm thankful that I found a shop as I drove back home that got me in immediately. I have a conference to attend and really didn't have the time to have my nails serviced at another time. read more

Not much to say other than I enjoyed my experience. The salon is really clean and open, the staff is friendly and seem to work well together, and the prices are typical for what you'll find in the area. The have a wide variety of services, and it was mentioned to me they have someone of staff who specializes in nail art. I got regular polish and they have not chipped yet after a few weeks. This place is so special. I don't get my nails done very often at all, but I went today and took my young daughter and her friend for their first manicures. They did a great job with the girls, got us water and offered Coke. The woman doing my pedicure was so meticulous. She spent loads of time on my cuticles and making my nails healthy. I went here to get individual eyelashes and my nails done. The next morning I can barely open my eyes without pain. Firstly the woman doing my nails was VERY unprofessional and rude. She kept pulling my hand, talking to me like I was her child, she cut me multiple times without saying sorry or anything. All she kept saying is I'm tired, I'm hungry & ready to go home!!! Then while I'm getting my nails done another woman came over to do my eyelashes & continues to poke me in the eye and not apologize. While doing my eyelashes she keeps telling the other woman " her eyelashes are too curly..which is one wrong but rude ans dishonest. I think if someone lashes is not what you're used to doing she should've said sorry nobody here to do curly lashes but this place obviously only wants peoples money and they do not care about the service they give you. I will never go back to this place again. Highly upset and I know most of my eyelashes will be coming off because she did a terrible job. This total was $52 for my nails which came put TERRIBLE then $35 for my eyelashes that were extremely painful and unnatural looking. $87 for a bad job and awful customer service. Ladies please I beg you do not waste your money and ruin your eyelashes going to these people. Keep looking..just a warning read more
