Spent 10 mins with her, she gave me something to do that I had already done. They said they would bill my provider. Turns out this company is not covered and way over charged. Completely disappointed and frustrated. Twice I have had an appointment for an injection from the Serenity Shot Bar and I've received a call to ask if I can reschedule. This morning I was asked if I could push my appointment back an hour (15 minutes before the scheduled time). I told the receptionist I needed to shuffle a few things around but would be there as close to that time as possible. When I arrived 10 minutes past that time, I was told that the therapist had just taken a client back and would not be able to see me unless I wanted to come back later. Meanwhile, Dr. Krause was sitting at the front desk and apparently could not spare 5 minutes that it would take to do the injection. Additionally, I've called twice to follow up with a nutrition consultation prior I had and never received a call back. The new location on 6th avenue is beautiful, too bad the service does not match. read more

I brought my best friend here for a joint birthday celebration spa day! We started the day with the steam room and they offered us some delicious tea (which they sell, btw) We did the couples relaxation renewal and were pampered from head to toe! Then, they took her to another room for a facial and I had a 60 minute massage. I saw Tomoko for my massage and she is amazing! I believe my friend saw Marina. I came initially for therapy from previous injuries that she has given me increased range of motion and ongoing ease. I went here for a facial and scalp massage. Both were mediocre. The feel of the salon was very nice and relaxing though. They have you soak your feet in warm water while in the waiting area, which was nice. I just feel like my actual facial and scalp massage just wasn't the best. Their prices are also higher than most other spas, which I wouldn't have minded if it was worth it and substantially better in some kind of way, but it really wasn't. read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Colombini this past Monday and have been raving about my experience since. I am so excited to be under the care of Dr. Colombini. She's wonderful and made me feel at such ease and that my health care is in excellent hands. I almost cried when she put together her recommendations and course direction for me to follow based off my needs and goals of where I want to go with my health. In addition to fabulous patient care is your location. Warm, relaxing, inviting. The offer of a foot soak before my appointment made me feel so at peace and such an unbelievable refreshing change of pace from any other doctors appointment that I've been to. Con: I had some back pain that I was looking to take care of so I decided to try out Acupuncture here. The pain sadly did not get better but it got worst during and after the process. They also have or had a weird payment set up so I was going to be charged more even though they had a better option that wasn't explained. I have been here a few times and have had good. experience. This time I went with my sister for a side by side 60 mins massage for $190. We both got a Swedish massage. Includes in massage treatments, we're given 30 minutes in the steam room and shower room which was nice. The massage therapist I had was Annalise, she was very professional and had great technique. The decorate and the ambiance was very lovely. The waiting room was very nice and spacious. We were offered warm neck wraps and foot soaks. Overall it was a good experience but a bit expensive. My biggest complaint is that It's hard to get anyone to answer your calls and return calls takes a long time as well. I will likely return here/ read more

UPDATE: Serenity Spa did contact me after I posted the review, and offered me a complimentary steam room service or discount on a different service to make up for it. I gladly accepted and will be going to visit the steam room soon. I went in on Feb 13 for a couples massage as a gift to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. The massage was okay, and the oil (probably unscented) had a slightly unpleasant smell and left me feeling dirty. Though this was somewhat disappointing, the reason I am writing this unfavorable review is because they did not provide the service as advertised and did not have the decency to respond to my message when I told them what happened. (Originally, this was a 1-star review, due to poor customer service. But as promised, I updated the review because the spa did reach out to me to rectify the issue.) The couples massage on the website advertises that it comes with a "eucalyptus steam and monsoon shower" which we did not receive. When we arrived we were ushered into the massage room, and then ushered to the cashier after the massage. I was unsure of myself at the time, so I didn't bring up the missing shower service. After the appointment I checked their website to make sure it really was supposed to be a part of the couples massage, and it was, so I sent the spa a message letting them know we did not receive the service as advertised and asked if there was anything they could do to make up for it. I picked their $180 couples massage because it came with the monsoon shower, and I felt like that made it worth it. Otherwise I would have chosen a spa with lower prices. It has been 4 days since I contacted Serenity and I have not received an email or phone response, and I clearly left my contact information and asked for a response. I am pretty angry that I spent over $200 at this place (including tips), did not get what I paid for, and was not even apologized to. If I am contacted by the spa, I will update this review to reflect that. read more

I have been coming to this spa for over a year now. Their massage treatments are always top notch, but it's really the facials that I love. I've been seeing Marina for around 9 months for microdermabrasion and chemical peels and she is AMAZING. She has taken my skin from rough and clogged to literally glowing. I come every four weeks just for her. I have had to see other estheticians on occasion, and have been more than pleased with my results and the services with them as well. This location and the 6th ave location are lovely, have wonderful front desk staff, and have given me nothing but top notch service. Highly recommend! read more

I would not recommend this place unless you really check to see if the information they give you regarding your insurance coverage is accurate! I called for an appointment and the front desk said they verified that my insurance would cover the treatments. First, after acupuncture, I went home to find that the acupuncturist left 2 needles in me, not once but this happened twice! Then after being told they checked and my insurance would cover treatment, I got a bill for over $1,500.00! Being a Healthcare professional myself, I carefully reviewed the charges and found out that they double billed for services!! When I called the billing company to get clarification, I was told that "Serenity does their own coding and they would check on it." About an hour later I received an email from Serenity that the billing company made the mistake and disregard the statement. Sounds fishy to me! The billing company blamed the spa and the spa blamed the billing company! Make sure you really check if your services are covered. read more

I LOVE this place! I found this place on yelp a while ago while looking for a waxing place. I get my brows done here every month for the past 7 months, and Aimee does such a wonderful job. This is my slice of heaven during lunch every 4th Monday, and I don't know what I'd do without it. I highly recommend the underarm wax if you've never done it, and the facials are amazing too. I got my first one the day before my wedding, and it was FANTASTIC. I'm a believer now. I've also had the "Awakening Foot Ritual" which was a great pleasure in the blasted winter months. Seriously, whenever I leave this place no matter what treatment I've received I feel like a million bucks and like I can handle whatever comes next.
