Luckily I knew about those things and already had an appointment at a tire store the next day, but it's nice to know they do a general quick inspection to make sure things are good. When I got back for the pickup the mechanic was test driving the vehicle, also a sign of a good mechanic shop. The bill was exactly what I was quoted and I was happy with the price. I feel like it was a good value for getting done what I could not do myself. I think some of us, like myself, have a mechanic friend, but I chose to go here because I wanted it done right and I trust they do it right. The car i took in for service was a family van and we need it to work right and to be reliable. I don't know if everyone feels like I do that these days you always have to fight to get things done right or be prepared for something wrong or to cost extra or whatever but this was simple. The prices are comparable but they allow you to bring your own oil and oil filter which lowers the price. If the cabin filter is even a tiny bit dirty I like it replaced. I came back and they did nothing, wouldn't even look at it. I explained it's a medical issue and if they can at least show me how to open the compartment so I can see and they just tried to reassure me again that it's part of the service, if they said it's OK then it's fine. They don't really care that I'm telling them It's a medical condition and I need it changed if it's even a little dirty.
