Great experience at Sergio's today. Staff was super friendly. I sat at the bar and they made my burger fresh to order. Fantastic unique food for when you're tired of lunch as usual. I had one of the burgers with steak, I'll definitely be back to explore this menu. Great family vibe and the service was stellar and delivered with a smile. Blink and you'll miss it on Brighton Ave. Coke products including Mexican coke and an assortment of Brazilian candy for your sweet tooth on the way out.

She just looked at me and just non challantly gave me my money back. No sorry, no food on the house (I wouldn't want their food anyway!) Reporting them for food/health inspection. REPEAT DONT COME HERE!

This place is a welcome addition to the Brighton Ave scene. Flavorful, inexpensive, and family-run. We tried two of their daily specials: the Oregon Burger and the "Build Your Own Dish" option with rice, brown beans, french fries, fried banana, and steak. Oregon Burger: bacon, cheese, lettuce, and garlic seasoned patty on a perfectly toasted bun. Meat was juicy and tasteful. Garlic seasoning isn't over-powering but it's enough where it mingles with the rest of the ingredients in the burger. Really good! Special of the Day: Very generous portions for $10. It comes with a soda or a drink too! Steak was cooked perfectly and juicy as well. Definitely lived up to the Brazilian BBQ style. Service was great. Very friendly and attentive. Wait time was a little long but the food is made fresh and nothing sat under a heat lamp or was cold. You can watch them working on your food behind the bar. Great atmosphere and it's BYOB! Wishing them success and many years of business!

So while I won't be trying their burgers anymore, I did want to try their other menu items. This place is just too close to where I work, so I smell what they're cookin' regularly. I tried their traditional plate of top sirloin with sides and it came in a gigantic container for $10. It was good, though unbalanced - check the before and after pics. Overall, I'll upgrade my rating to be fair.

By far my favorite burger place. I love the New York burger, and usually add avocado to it. If you can try the daily special it's so worth it, usually only $10 for a plate and it is very filling. I've also tried the lasagna which was the best I've ever had, and I really loved the beef stroganoff. You have to try it! It's awesome! They also have homemade mayos that go great on a burger or on French fries, and they deliver!

This was our first time here. They have limited seating outside but inside has quite a few tables and a bar type counter to sit at. The service is very good and the waitress answered any questions we had. So my wife ordered the chicken sandwich ( all their sandwiches have a Brazilian name, I just don't remember) with a side of fries and I had a specialty burger with fried egg, sausage, fried onions and arugula and a side of fries. Portions are very generous and we could have shared one order of the fries. All the food was very good. We don't live in the area but they do have delivery. All in all we were very pleased with the experience.

Excellent, authentic, Brazilian "diner" or "truck stop" fare. Simple fare in Brazil is often wonderful. Sergio's brings that to Long Branch and Philadelphia! Well seasoned food and huge portions. Big portion food. We ordered the chicago, big rocky, picanha bbq, and caesar salad. The picanha bbq was quite pricey but after receiving it it was definitely worth it because of such a big portion. The caesar salad was great as well its not frozen it was definitely fresh and chicken was grilled it was nice and warm when it arrived to us. read more

Nice clean restaurant. Friendly service with smiles. At first restaurant was quiet but filled up while we ate. Had a variety of Portuguese dishes (I guess, what do I know? lol). We each had different meat dishes. A big plate of freshly prepared food arrived for each. Food was fine. Next time would opt for the burgers that looked pretty tasty. read more

This place need to learn to hire the proper people 1 st people that can speak and understand both languages English and Portuguese my wife order food when to pick the food the waitress in her couple of words in English said couple of minutes 20 minutes pass by when and ask where is my food they could not find the order 5 people running like chickens with out heads looking for order They all looking at me like you never order After I explain to them to ask the 1 st girl they realized they never saw my order You need to get a better order system And get people to understand the order English language maybe them you can serve the entire community instead of just the Portuguese speaking community read more

Not giving it a bad review, the place was very clean very nice Service good prices. Just preparing you. I am from Hudson County. The hamburger was good but had mayonnaise in it. I personally don't like mayonnaise the bacon very lean but cooked soft. I'm used to bacon well done and the black bean soup was black beans and pieces of pork I'm not saying the soup was bad, but being from Hudson County, I expected black beans over rice, my comments are just to prepare you, so you're not let down .. read more

Since hearing about Sergio s this has been our spot for burgers. Their French fries were the best, simple "shoe string" type in a brown bag and lots of them. I give them TWO stars for the past positive experiences but tonight I'm disappointed. They changed their French fries and the burger was so dry it was hard to eat. No flavor at all !!! I don't know if this placed has changed ownership or what has changed but it's time to find another burger place. read more

Their peanut butter mocha is yummy! Another bonus for me is their family-friendly atmosphere with a baby-changing area in their restroom and the fact that there is a playground right across! Several of the bowls contained very minimal Nutella, the fruit was not fresh, and the overall presentation and portion sizes were noticeably inconsistent with what I've received in the past. I called the location to resolve the issue, but there was no manager available at the time. The staff member I spoke with mentioned "portion control," but the portions in my order were significantly smaller than what I've previously received, especially considering the price. Because of the quality concerns and the lack of available management to help address the issue, I'm requesting a refund or replacement for this order. I've been a customer and would appreciate help resolving this so I can feel confident ordering again. Thank you for your time -- I look forward to hearing back.

I stopped by the Long Branch location, located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is pretty small. No seating available - just a register to order, counter, pick-up area, and merchandise section. They only operate as a grab-and-go. I can see it being cramped during rush hours in the morning... luckily I came by on a weekday afternoon and was the only one there. Rook prides itself on having a small and simple menu. They only sell hot pour-over single origin coffee and cold brew. They picked a few things to perfect and do really well. So for espresso lovers, you're out of luck. BUT don't let that steer you away because their drinks are phenomenal. They use high quality, premium beans. The employee was extremely helpful with guiding me through the menu and giving me recommendations. I love that milks and sweeteners are available at no additional charge! They also have decaf and half caf options. I ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew (regular size $5.50) with milk and sugar. And let me tell you... it was love at first sip! It was probably the best cold brew I've ever had. Super smooth, rich, and creamy. The vanilla flavor wasn't overpowering and added just the right amount of sweetness. I definitely understand why so many people love their coffee. I wish there were more locations closer to North Jersey because I can see myself becoming a regular. If you can't visit a storefront, you can buy their cold brew concentrates or coffee beans online. Don't sleep on Rook!
