I really liked Sergio's chicken and beef empanadas when we were there the other day. The beef one tasted the best to me, especially the crust! It was so good. The chicken empanada was a bit on the dry side but still was ok. The crusty shell makes it so good. Then the best but not least were the delicious Guava pastries..freshly baked that day and went so well with my coffee. The restaurant is casual with a nice homey touch to.it. Ambiance was your typical lunch crowd in a Cuban restaurant. The service was good the server was very serviceable. As far as the food, the crema de malanga was very good, but the steak sandwich was terrible. The bread was super hard and the steak was micro thin , overcooked and extremely tough to eat. It felt like they took a shoe sole put inside 3 day old bread with tomato , onions and the shredded potatoes. No more steak sandwiches for me at any Sergio's. read more

Came here with my parents for the first time in so long and have lots of thoughts. For starters, upon walking in, the floor was so disgustingly greasy that we were quite literally slipping and sliding trying to walk to our table. When we sat at our table and asked for cups of water, one of the water cups had food gunk stuck to it as if it hadn't been cleaned. When going to a Cuban restaurant, I expect the pan con mantequilla to be just that: bread with butter. But to my surprise, they put an insane amount of powered cheese on top and it was just .... Not good. Thankfully, we asked for plain bread with butter and they brought it to us. We ordered mariquitas as well (forgot to photograph) and the accompanying sauce was fantastic. The vaca frita portion was exceptionally small - it was 80% onion, 20% meat. The portion size shrank yet the price became astronomical. Make that make sense! The arroz con pollo (which is only served on the weekends) was great. It's a serving size for 2-3 people and my parents loved it. It does take 30 minutes to make because they prepare each order at the time of ordering, so order it while you order your appetizers. However, it had a lot of small thin bones in it so I wouldn't recommend giving it to kids. My dad ordered frita burgers and they were partially raw. When he mentioned it to the server, the manager came by and her response to the complaint was "well, have you ever ~tried~ our fritas before???" As if that's a justification for serving raw meat. It's crazy that they've increased the price on everything yet the size of portions, quality of food, and service has completely been destroyed. Cool robot that comes around your table when your food is ready. Plenty of parking in their private spaces parking lot. You can't go wrong with Sergio's. Both Gretel the manager and Gretel the server are both great reflections of the customers of the restaurant and the hard work ethic of a Latin woman especially the cooks in the back, it's like seeing a battleship going to war every day. Everything has to run properly for the business to function at its best. Tuesday lunch. Decided to change our usual for this place. For a change. Bad choice. The service was so incredibly bad, I am still incredulous. I had to get up twice to get water. And the water is tepid and no ice. Ugh. The food was meh. I had the vaca frita. It was tasty but a very small rubbery portion. Mariquitas were 9 bucks and they were terrible. A long time ago they were great and complimentary. Tasted like they opened a $3 bag of supermarket mariquita chips. And the mojo they give you is a thimble size container. The stuffed pepper was bitter. The cheesy cauliflower rice was bland. The only good thing was the milanesa. I never got my hot sauce because our server never came back except to give us the bill. The other servers ignored us even when they absolutely heard us calling them. I'm telling you. The level of rude behavior from everyone, including the lady that brought our menus was spectacular. hello, I ordered a few minutes ago, the delivery time was great and so was the driver, very cordial. I usually order from Sergio Coral way 2 to 4 times a month. I never have an issue, but today I got to tell you the chicken breast did not have any taste, it was raw inside, the piece of lime was as dry as sand, the rice was horrible the only thing that was good were the beans, the plantains and the cooked onions. I'm a party of 1 and that right there to them it was a red flag. I felt extremely outcast about the fact that I was alone sitting in a booth. I feel more comfortable sitting in booths. Came here after one of my son's soccer matches with a bunch of other families. So we were a large crew (about 10 or so) just walk ins on a random Saturday. Wanted to add context to the review. Service was overall slow. It took a while for our orders to be taken and even longer for the food to come out. Luckily the kids got their food quicker than the parents. I will say that although it took longer than expected and some of us where getting anxious, the staff were very nice and calm. The food when it finally came out was really good. I was surprised they had a breakfast dish on the menu with Fufu and chorizo. Which was an absolute no brainer for me when I saw it. The eggs were cooked well and the chorizo was nice and juicy. But that fufu was spectacular. The perfect balance of sweetness from the plantains and the saltiness from the pork belly with the notes of garlic. Wow so good. I would definitely come back for this alone. Outside of the kitchen being slow everything else was great. Would definitely come back. Maybe not with that many people next time. read more

I love to meet one of my good Friends here for a laugh-a-thon! She's one of my best buddies and we laugh tons when we get together. They know us now because when we sit outside we can chill and laugh for hours! And when we sit inside we drool over the robot that delivers the food to your table! I love the options at Sergio's! I love that they cater to healthier options like cauliflower rice, and plant based choices! I love the mariquita app comes with delicious mojito! So crunchy and plentiful! The serving size is big enough to share with everyone at the table. They're food is always delicious, fresh and I feel they serve it with love! The service is alway friendly and they make you feel like you're family at least that's how I feel when I eat at Sergio's! They have their own parking lot and it has a lot of room for plenty of customers. I hardly ever see it packed so the ambiance is t too loud. The way the place is run all together should change. I ordered a chicken soup last night and croquetas to go . The lady that took my order first said there was no other croquetas than the ham ones but then came back and said she could have the chicken ones cooked. I said I would wait for them and also make two cod ones as well. I waited for them for 40 min. While I waited I observed several things. One waiter cleaned a plate that had food that would be served to a customer with a soiled rag . Another waiter was eating and holding customers plates . Sergio's has always been a great spot but last night was very disappointing. As we were ordering our food we were told they were out of one their staple dishes "crema de malanga". To add to that disappointment, the waitress goes on to tell us they don't have black beans! (That's like McDonalds not having French fries!) It was a Saturday night at only 8p. We proceeded with our entire order of which I ordered an appetizer and clearly said it was to come out first. Fast forward about 15 mins. ALL food comes out together including my appetizer. My niece and nephew both ordered the kids popcorn chicken. They sent 1 popcorn and 1 chicken tenders. When we mentioned it to the waitress, her response was a sly remark saying for us to just keep the tenders because there is more chicken. Not the point lady! The kids ordered popcorn chicken and THAT'S what we expect to receive. Like most restaurants the prices have gone up significantly but unfortunately that quality didn't match. I went with my boyfriend tonight after church to dinner and we decided to go here. It was my first time and my boyfriend has been there over a dozen. So I decided to try it out. The food was pretty good and the service was top notch. The ambiance was great as well. Very quiet but that's because we just missed the busy dinner crowd. Which was great cause we had any waiter or waitress help us out. I ate something from the la flaca menu and my boyfriend got something he usually likes. We were in the mood of Cuban food yesterday and live close to Sergio's. Sergio's is one Miami's biggest Cuban chains with several locations and with no sign of slowing down. We decided to order several cod croquettes to start out with, nice contrast crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. For the main entree my wife ordered their palomilla steak while I ordered a basic Cuban sandwich. The palomilla steak was very disappointing very bland, while the Cuban sandwich was very low on ham. Just like another Miami Cuban chain La Carreta I feel the quality in Sergio has gone down. We also order plantain chips and they were good but very basic. For dessert we ordered a crema Catalina, which is a egg custard with burned sugar on top. The sugar shell was not crispy and way too gooey and burned. I really admired how much Sergio has grown but disappointed how the food quality has suffered. read more

Gretel, Leslie, Claudia, Jose and Carlos are kind, accommodating and truly care about their customers. As I sit here at the to go counter I overheard someone be super disrespectful towards them because THEY made their order wrong then blamed the workers!!!
