My husband and I ordered food here last night -- a couple of wieners, burgers, and a sandwich. When we got the order, I noticed my sandwich was missing, so I called back. They were polite about it and had someone bring it out to us, which I appreciated. While I was waiting, I tried one of the wieners. I thought it tasted okay at first, but my husband immediately said it smelled rancid, he actually spit it out and threw it away. I figured he was just being dramatic and ate it anyway. When my sandwich finally arrived, it took almost another hour -- and to top it off, all of the food was cold when it arrived in the first place. That was really disappointing, but I still tried to let it go, my husband called and complained about the cold food and they were gracious enough to take some money off. But I had wanted to let it go. Well, I wish I had complained more. By late last night, I became extremely sick. I've been in the bathroom nonstop, my stomach hurts terribly, and I honestly think I might need to see a doctor. The only thing I can think of that caused this was that wiener. I'm so disappointed. We've visited two days in a row for breakfast this weekend- and everyone loved the food so much that we didn't get photos before we ate half of the food. The staff are friendly and the prices are affordable. The Serio's special is such a great deal for breakfast- you get eggs, bacon, sausage (patties or links- I recommend patties), home fries (you can ask for hashbrowns and I recommend this too), toast (I recommend the grilled English muffin), pancakes and French toast for about $15. They have another special- 2 eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, and toast with coffee for $12.95. Kids menu is very reasonable- egg, toast, bacon and hashbrowns for $3. There are different prices for cash vs card so if you're looking to save a little- bring cash, but if you want convenience of the card, you'll be charged just a little more. The difference isn't much, so we prefer the convenience of the card. The business is celebrating 60 years during the weekdays next week and rolling back prices as seen in this print. Here you have a classic local's diner. Pretty much everyone knows everyone, and are really friendly. The waitress will refer to you as 'hun', and refill your coffee after each sip. The owner, Jim is pretty much always there and is a super generous and chipper guy. They do have a drink menu should you want an adult beverage. The specials are weekly laid out. The food is made to order in the back and comes out fresh and hot. The biggest seller here is their pizza though. It is consistent every single time, and in that consistency 100% delicious!! Seriously, of all the pizza in the area they are putting out the best by far. Dine in (once the virus is gone) or order takeout ready in 20 minutes usually. Bon appetite! read more

Went back and always forgetting the garlic bread or something. Ordered a chef salad, was gross... the lettuce was wilted, had nothing special in it, the meat tasted bad. Never again! Based on a few takeout experiences: I had passed by there many times in my travels, until a local told me about Serios, never stopped. Had to take a ride to Douglas, figured I'd give the pizza a shot. They have a "dynamite" pizza, a take on the Woonsocket sloppy Joe sandwich. Wow, thats when you pay 17 bucks for a pizza and dont mind because it was generous with ingredients and the well executed. Tons of homemade meatball chunks and red pepper with a signature sauce that nailed the flavor of the Woonsocket dyno. Next time got a large meatball & mushroom with crab cakes & chowder. The soup & crabcakes were very fairly priced in reusable containers, gotta say didnt seem like real crab in the cakes (not homemade) and the chowder was bland but hearty. BUT I get why the chowder isnt seasoned up, you add pepper & thyme to it when you get it home and was excellent. This aint your trendy wood-fired pizza with artisan organic figs & goat cheese. Its the lovin oven Italian grandma long pan pizza (large) with generous cheese and toppings. Yeah its kinda salty, not health food but welcome anywhere real Americans gather on football Sunday or the weekly poker game. Wild thing too: Their pizza is actually better the next day reheated in the toaster over or pan fried. Try it. read more

I've had both breakfast and lunch here at Serio's. I haven't actually sat down inside as I am always coming from work and looking for a quick bite. At first glance, it looks like an old, small town diner; a little dated but clean. The staff are great. They're always friendly and accommodating. The veggie omelet I ordered wasn't on the menu but they said "I can make anything you want." Prior to that, I got 2 boxes of free pizza because it was a little overdone for a customer's gathering. So they get big brownie points for service! As far as the food goes, you're not going to get anything spectacular. Like mentioned earlier, it is an old small town diner. There's a lot of grease and a lot of salt. Don't expect to maintain you're bikini body here (although they do have an "all you can eat" salad bar). The omelet could have used a little less water, it's was a tad leathery and not fluffy. The home fries are OK, a bit salty and not crispy. I do like the idea of their homemade rye bread but it was missing the pungent rye flavor. However, I will say that the texture is great. The hash definitely came from SPAM and tasted a little of burnt oil. The home made fig squares tasted like fig newtons with a good crust (and I swear they throw prunes in there). I've also had a few lunch items, which again was OK, a tad salty and greasy. So in conclusion, I would eat here again. Pros: Very accommodating staff, quick and reliable service Cons: Food is mediocre but edible. Be ready to not only feel but wear the grease. A little hypertension doesn't hurt right? read more

Stopped in at Serios the other day. Everything still great except for one thing now. Owner now makes the customer pay the CREDIT/DEBIT CARD SERVICE FEE. It was .80 extra but the point is they don't tell you until after they come back with your copy to sign. It shows up after they run you card. Also, No other restaurant I've been to does this. Finally decided to give this place a shot. Heard it was definitely a go to place. We called and asked specifically how the buffalo pizza was made because some places don't use buffalo sauce. We ordered that and a half pepp/half cheese pizza. Husband went to pick it up (OBVIOUSLY doesn't check) comes home and realize they used pizza sauce instead of buffalo.
