I bought my first and last car at this dealership in May. How I wish I had read these reviews prior to making the purchase. I spent hours waiting for the finance department to present the paper work I needed to sign. When they took me in the back room to sign I noticed that they were charging me almost $3,000 more than the salesman's quote. When I asked about it the finance guy got defensive and rude rather than taking ownership of the issue. I told him I was going to step out of the office and he had 10 minutes to get the salesman back in the room and resolve the issue or I was leaving. When I came back to the office the monthly interest rate was lowered and the loan amount was lowered reducing the payment by $100 per month. Against my better judgement I bought the car. I felt like I was put in a position that I had to act like a jerk to get the issue resolved. Three months later the engine seized up for my daughter, who bought the car, and we had to have it towed to a repair shop. They evaluated the car and said the engine was shot and needed rebuilt or replaced. I remembered talking to the sales guy at Serpentine who showed me the carfax Warranty Check when I test drove the car. He pointed out that the drive train warranty had 38 months or 18,000 miles remaining and that should give me some peace of mind. So I followed up with a Hyundai dealership and Hyundai corporate customer service who told me that warranty only applies to the original owner. However, it turns out there is a known problem with certain Hyundai engines and I might get some help from them. Let's hope. Needless to say, I don't trust this dealership. read more

The buying process took over eight hours, and when I finally secured my own financing, they were then willing to deal to try to get their financing, but then made me promise I would not refinance for at least three months. I've already had the truck back in to have the radio replaced as it was bad. And for a brand new truck, it had already been driven as a courtesy car and had a flat tire and had a rope plug in the tire, and when I confronted them about it as I had an independent tire company evaluate the tire they told me there was nothing they could do about it because now conveniently it had a nail in the sidewall. Never again, already bought my Wife a 2026 traverse from Spitzer in Canton, night and day experience. bought a 2014 gmc sierra they freshly undercoated in 24 thinking they had went over the frame and made sure everything was good prior to having it done since they deny they do it there even know I was warned "it's wet" when I looked at it After they had it there for 7 days. The problems started there in less than 500miles a vibration had kicked in that felt like rumble strips, took it back a week after buying for them to tell me it was it switching between 8cyl and 4cylinde, after having it back the 4th time they said I needed to drive it till the light kicked on so they could read codes, light never kicked so I called the AUL insurance and they told me to take it to my local dealership immediately, to which I was told the torque converter had gone through they transmission and they didn't know how it was still running, they replaced the transmission and when I told serpentini about it they wouldn't kick in a dime till I turned them into BBB then they gave me 1k towards a 5800$ transmission. less than a year later I replaced it again for the same issue but it was warranty work . Then went to trade it in last weekend At another dealership and They can see where the cheap spray on undercoat they used had peeled off and revealed a rust crack about 6-8 inches long in the frame Mind you it couldn't be seen before since they "had" it undercoated. Took it back to serpentini today for the service manager to tell me they would give me 7k for the truck since that's fair trade value even know I paid 17,500$ 20k miles ago and then tried to talk me into buying something else off their lot Saying "if you buy this new 40k Durango we can give you 12k for your truck" mind you I traded a 12k vehicle for the truck and they gave me 6k for and now they want me to eat 10k more for them selling me vehicle that shouldn't have been on the road With a cracked frame In The first place. I will not purchase another vehicle at any serpentini dealership. I will not list in detail my experience with the personnel in the finance department although when asked for details why they are included an extended warranty that I did not request, I was met with hostility and very aggressive behavior. The woman threaten that the sale would need reapproval if the warranty was going to be removed. I signed everything and then had to cancel the next day and wait a month for a refund check. However, the warranty total was financed in the loan so I'm pretty much screwed with that. The Q on the emblem of the Equinox fell off within a week. I've had the car a month and it is completely out of alignment and I am waiting on them to schedule this this to be fixed this week (I have taken it to be serviced with a different dealership). read more

I found a nice 2015 Silverado they have their website for $7,999. The girl who called me said that it was serviced and had new tires added to a 2 owner truck. Told her I have a 2002 Tahoe for a trade in. She said they use KBB, and would use that on a trade in. I really didn't want to drive an hour and be disappointed but they were very persistent, so I decided to go. The truck is beautiful, drove like a dream. Ok let's make a deal. Take my Tahoe for a ride, it's a Florida vehicle so no rust. 150,000 miles Z71 with 20" after market rims with good tires. I was offered $3,900 at another lot, but the transmission slipped when I test drove the car. So no deal there. The salesman comes back with an offer of $850 for my Tahoe because of high mileage. 150,000 miles on an 2005, their 2015 has 149,000 on it. Then I look at the paper work and they are charging $1,000 more than the website said it was on sale for. I walked out. He calls me 5 minutes later and says how about we give you $3,000 for your car. Horrible experience that lowered my credit score! I had my own financing through my bank. They told me no outside financing aloud so we were going to leave. The salesman pushed and I caved and said they could do 1 hard pull on my credit. He came back with a loan that did not fit my needs and suddenly my outside financing was good. We buy the car,every step was a hassle, even pick up. Here we are a little over a month later and my score dropped-they had 6 different banks pull my credit score!!!! Was told that it had been balanced prior to purchase but it wasn't. When I went less then two weeks following was told by shitty service guy that they were going to charge me. I think at the end of the sale it was not a good deal as they made it out to be. Everything is done with 1 finance person so it made them look busier than what they actually was at the duration of the 6 LONG HOURS on a "Saturday Sale" that it took us to get through with; a) waiting to speak to a sales person, then b) waiting for a test drive with a plate, then c) waiting on Finance Person to sign the deal. Then they hand you a tiny iPad that has the contract on it, with very small print! ....All signing is done electronically which should be a good thing, but with the tiny print & never explaining how or if we could enlarge it before signing! Bottom line; I think they wanted to put time between salesperson & the actual signing of loan contract so they could finagle interest rates and loan companies that would give them the biggest advantage (kickback) not the buyer. It used to be the seller would go out of the way to get you into a vehicle & to make certain you would come back for another deal, I feel they have so many sales because people aren't aware of how things are done by a way of a sale, & they know there is so much competition with other dealerships, etc.,....you probably won't be back twice! So they work it to their advantage and in the end our losing economy keeps depreciating by businesses doing poor business like the way this "deal" was made. Please do better to shape up your way of thinking of how a sale should go and stay firm to your knowledge of the "deal agreed to vocally, forward into the signing of the loan contract. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. EVER. I bought a used car from Serpentini of Strongsville and it broke down the day I drove it off the lot. Plus 2 other times within 30 days. Dealership could not diagnose the problem -it just stopped running THREE TIMES. I got it to my mechanic and it had multiple serious mechanical issues. Dealership promised to reimburse me for the 3 tows. They eventually had to buy back the vehicle of course at a loss to me. I did not want to do any more business with this company so I took the loss. 45 days later I can't get anyone to answer the phone or talk to me about reimbursement for the tows. I have provide all the receipts and now I am just getting the runaround. DO NOT do business with these conmen. Sales person was super friendly and personable. The rest of the experience was terrible. The first red flag was we came to the dealership with an advertised purchase price, that they tried to change after I said I was preapproved with my own personal financing (thankfully I had printed the screenshot from there website out), THEN, they tried to increase the price by 2k. Ummm, no. I should have walked out then. The rest went downhill from there lots of hassle about terms. After signing paperwork, and we were getting ready to drive away, it was discovered that a headlight didn't work. Turns out, the wires for messed up, so that required a part being ordered and a repair, which they completed, but the point is that legally a car dealership cannot sell anything that doesn't pass inspection, and a headlight is part of that inspection. I inquired about a vehicle from this dealership and started receiving what appeared to be automated (BOT or VA) responses from "Adam Shilling'. This name is listed in the company's list of employees, but the emails I have been receiving don't appear to be created by human hands. Very generic and broad in nature. I have responded several time with questions, but a few days later I get another email with very general statements and no answers to my questions. While I understand automated systems to manage incoming inquires, at some point if they want to sell an advertised vehicle you would think there would be a real response to potential customer inquires. Update: Not sure what is going on with this dealership. I have been trying to communicate with them for a couple of weeks now and previously got nothing but automated responses (6 in total) from an email account claiming to be 'Adam Shilling'. After getting a bit ornery in an email, I finally received an actual (not automated) response that stated "I want to refer you to my long distance specialist". Given that I am 150 miles away, I understand if this dealership has a specialist for non local sales. However, I have yet to receive ANY communication from anyone else. Given this Adam Shilling has yet to demonstrate any ability to do his job for this company, I highly doubt he forwarded my contact info to anyone. What is sad is that I was ready to purchase this vehicle at the time I first inquired. Now the price is 2000 lower, this dealership is not intelligent enough to understand even if I purchase today, they lose that 2000. Apparently they don't want to sell vehicles. Posted my extremely clean Alfa Romeo on FB market. They contacted me, price was 22.5. Drove it there, test drove a jeep. Started working a deal they low balled me for 14k which they never stated but I worked out ( even tho I asked several times to see the numbers) they offered me 33.5 out the door for the jeep and to take it off my hands including the 5 grand extra I owed. They still wouldn't comment on the jeeps current condition or show me the full number breakdown. Called talked to a Manager asked him to see it so we could finalize. Mind you , I'm a veteran of Iraq / Afghan & I take seriously the reviews I leave and I do a lot of them as you can tell. Most are 5 stars, But being treated like this after 2 weeks they finally told me today they sold the jeep. Yes there is meat to this story that there is not room for. Bottom line they didn't pull the car or tell me they sold it. They refused to answer anything after, even said they would find me another jeep, they just went ghost like a 15 year old girlfriend that found a hot guy with a nicer car. I turned down better cash offers and ignored other dealers because I thought we had a deal. Bottom line don't trust them until you have the keys. Because we had been finalizing this deal for over a week and their system went down so they "couldn't send me anything / or view the numbers" but they sure figured out that they sold the jeep and then tried to push something 3 years older with 40k more miles for the same deal on me. What a slap in the face and I'm a disabled vet, drove 2 hours for the appraisal. Mind you THEY CONTACTED ME. They asked me to bring that car to them. First they suggested they would give me a discounted shipping and veteran discount and they failed on those offers as well WITH ZERO EXPLANATION. Purchased a vehicle here on December 28th 2023. It is now February 21st 2024 and I have not received any paperwork to get my car registered in my name. Marissa the finance manager told me my paperwork to register my car would be mailed. I never received it and started calling them. Every time I call they treat me as if I did something wrong and everybody has a story and basically telling me they did their part and nothing more to do except for me to keep waiting. Just getting the runaround from each person. Poor customer service. I understand things happen and I also understand when balls get dropped, none of us are perfect. In this case a ball was dropped and instead of ensuring that it was fixed in a timely manner they blame others, say it's taken care of and they treat me crap for calling and emailing. I cannot get a manager on the phone. The receptionist just says they can't help me as it's in title clerks hands. They did give me 2nd temp tag so I can drive the car at least. Somebody there made a mistake and I am being treated like crap over it, it is so unprofessional. Worst car buying experience ever. Ultimately I just want answers and a solution. We explained to them that we were just waiting on a check from insurance and kept in contact. This was all communicated before we ever placed the deposit. All of a sudden, they call to let my husband know that they no longer want to honor that hold and will be selling the vehicle to someone else. It hadn't even been close to the 30 days yet. They then offered to show us a different vehicle. Every time my husband has asked for an explanation, they skirt around the question and will not give him a straight answer. He has called and texted so many times and there's always a new excuse of why they can't talk right now. They refunded our deposit tonight and never explained why the car they placed a sold sign on for us was now being sold to someone else while we were within our window. read more

When I found out 30 days later I corrected with my insurance company. Then I received a bill from the lender stating they are billing me $900 for not having insurance for the month. I called the finance guy at Serpentini and told him. He told me that they shouldn't be able to do that and he would call them. I assumed the problem was handled. Few weeks later I receive another letter from the loan company (the loan company picked by the dealer) stating that they were adding the $900 onto my loan. After calling again, they said its not their problem. I have NEVER had a dealer that has failed to notify insurance of a change and make sure you are covered rolling off the lot. We had a bad experience at Serpentini of strongsville , but this one provided a pretty pleasant experience .Aaron Jarett took care of us, he haggled with us to get what we wanted, I have nothing but good things to say about him. The only reason I am giving a 4 star and not a five, is because of where it's located, it's next to an electrical plant , but it's no longer producing electricity so they run antifreeze through it and it spews into air and lands on the vehicles, my car was covered in fallout, my husband was able to to remove it with a clay bar, but it amazes me they would sell cars covered in fallout. You can even SMELL the antifreeze when your sitting in the dealership , I ended up getting a head ache . That was pretty disappointing. read more

I will first say that the salesman did a great job and the crew worked hard to get me financed. The issue that I had was that I asked if they had any 2016 car that would work and was told 'no' only to find out they did with good rebates. Also when I signed the paperwork we were pushed through very quickly and not given a chance to read anything. We were also not given our copy of the papers until the next day. When I came up on a different day to speak to the finance office they guy seemed very inattentive and like I was a bother to him. If I would have had a chance to sit down and read all of the information on the contract I think I would not have signed. read more

I can state a pro and con for this location, and for the Strongsville location as well. Pro's for Strongsville, they still honor my 5 years free oil changes. Con's are, they fail to honor my warranty and gave me hell and the run-a-round every time I went to them regarding issues, including the safety recalls on my car and failed to fix them. Orrville, I could speak all day about them, but not in a good way. They have given me non stop problems since the first day I purchased my car through them. For the past year, I have been having non stop problems with this vehicle, more or less problems that were honored under my warranty through AUL, and they failed to fix my car every single time out of the uncountable times that I went to them, and wanted to charge me $100-$200 an hour just to look at my car. I took my car to them on October 23, 2014 in regards to all the issues because I was fed up, and including the GM safety recalls on my car. They STILL wanted to charge me buku dollars to look at it, and allowed me to drive off the lot without fixing the recall. I returned later that day, and they claimed "they forgot" to fix the recalls. They claim they fixed it after I went back...whether they did or not, who knows, as when I returned home, I found one of the parts to fix the recall was still in original, sealed packaging, unopened laying in the front passengers floor board. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone, as the past 3 car purchases through them came with uncountable issues. read more

When we cam in we informed the man who took our keys of our issues and told him do not wash the car we do not wash with anything but a touchless spray wash. after waiting for our car for almost 2 hours for a simple service with no updates, we were told that there were no papers they would be mailed to us when the computers were working and that our car was washed by hand and dried with towels. Upon driving and seeing our car in the sunlight as it had been in the shade, we noticed many swirls and scratches in our car. When we came back and told Tonya that is why we asked that our car not be washed that our car had been scratched with the towels, she proceeded to argue with me insisting that swirl scratches covering our entire car and scratches that went from left to right were our fault and from driving in the wind. after a 5 minute wait she said our car was ready again only for us to see that nothing was done. Now tonya is again arguing that she isn't repainting our car, which is something we never mentioned, and that we would need to leave with our car looking like it does and come back again later to speak to her boss. Only after I say that if I am leaving with my car looking like it does I should perhaps go to bob serpentinis house and show him the damage to my car and see what he has to say, and the current dealership mgr then offered to have the car completely buffed, which is what we thought was being dome the first time tonya attempted to repair the damage but only had it waxed to cover the damage up. after waiting another hour and a half our car was finally ready and after examination it was not perfectly the way it was before we brought it in but we were exhausted and sickened with the people at the Orville site so much we just wanted to get out of there and never go back. Sadly when we purchased this new car we had many issues with paint and damage caused by the Orville body shop and poor service and now we have an extra service and maintenance plan we purchased with our vehicle that we are not wanting to use and will be wasted since we will never be stepping foot inside the Orville location again which is sad since we loved our salesman so much but the rest of the staff ruined that. read more
