Well what can you say.. Meyer Honda is a disgrace. I have been to this dealership on numerous occasions and usually would have good experiences.. this particular time this was not the case. I had stopped in to fill out an application for a position and had an interview on the spot. I notified them of my military commitment and no issues questions came my way. Weeks later I email to stay in touch with them to find out they didn't want to hire me because of my military schedule. Even under the USERRA act employers can't discriminate against you because you are military. I would advise anyone who supports the military to not support or buy from Meyer Honda. read more

Yesterday I bought a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Civic at Meyer Honda and had a great experience. I did my research at various dealerships on Sunday so I could look at cars without being distracted by salespeople. On Monday morning, I went back by to look more closely at a few cars I'd selected. Salesman Greg approached me and asked if I had any questions or wanted to test drive anything. He was very friendly and helpful, and he didn't pressure me into doing anything or try to upsell me on features that I didn't need. His focus was on what I was looking for and what would fit my needs the best. Yesterday (Tuesday) I went back in to get my car's value assessed and to negotiate the price with Greg. As this was the first car I was purchasing entirely on my own, I felt a bit nervous, but Greg put me at ease. He never pressured me, and negotiating the price of the car was as simple as talking to him. I feel great about my purchase and confident in both the car and in Greg. Working in sales myself, I think it's very important to build a relationship with the salesperson. I don't think I could have had a better experience, and I'm so glad not to feel any buyer's remorse -- especially with such an expensive purchase. So why only four stars? If the service department is as good as Greg told me they are, then this place will be worth a solid five stars. But since I obviously haven't had the car serviced yet, I can't speak to that. I definitely recommend that anyone looking into a car - new or used, Honda or otherwise - stop by Meyer Honda in O'Fallon and ask for Greg. It never hurts to talk to one more person, and hopefully you'll feel as satisfied and comfortable as I did. read more

Just bought a great pre-owned car (2013 Civic) from Meyer. James Adams III was as helpful as can be. Highly recommend. I got a good deal. . and they were fair and gracious throughout the process. No high pressure sales tactics. I bought my last car from St Louis Honda (Mungenast) and had some issues with their service department that were never resolved so I had decided to look at other Honda dealers to buy my next car. 2014 Accord. Less than 80000 miles, mostly highway. Already had to replace the starter, battery and now brakes. Is the Honda company using cheaper parts??? Low maintenance was always why I bought Hondas! The battery by the way is about half the size of previous batteries used by Honda! read more

Went to lot looking for a specific vehicle (Passport). Sales Associate (Arthur) was quick to greet us, explain how they could find that vehicle as it was not on the lot, and quickly arranged for a dealer trade. Our vehicle was old with high mileage but dealership seemed fair in the deal. Explained the options well for us to decide upon and stayed in contact to close the deal. Associate explained how the vehicle operates and even paired the phones. Have not had service yet but dealership has a comfortable area to wait. Just needs popcorn. read more

We had our 2004 CRV serviced @ Meyer Honda for over 8 years, and found the staff always very helpful and considerate of our needs. A big shout out to Chris Hughes, our service advisor during most of these years. He was always very professional, and yet showed that concerns for the upkeep of our car appeared personal to him as well. Purchased a new Pilot for a very fair price. The salesman...Justin was very kind, courteous and humble. Meyer Honda's no pressure buying made us feel relaxed. We went in the first time and told them what color pilot and trim we were looking for and they didn't call to bother us with other offers until our color and trim arrived a week later. We loved the fact that we could purchase local instead of Bommarito or Frank Leta. The buying experience was bar none better and we also got a better deal at Meyer Honda! Been to several Honda dealership in the US, this is by far the best one. I bring my SUV here for service and they have some of the nicest digs I have seen. Staff is super polite and friendly, wait areas are always clean ( they even have a kids lounge ) and the prices as respectable for service. I saw the ad below and asked my husband if we could go check out this car. We got there the car had scratches, dents, and paint flaking.There was a huge dent on the front passenger side door. I brought my 2014 CRV in for it's 2nd application of protection to the interior. It took over 2 months to schedule this appointment because it's so time consuming to do. I was worried they might not remember my appointment since it was booked so far in advance I couldn't be more wrong! I arrived at 7:00 am when they opened. The rep, Chris Hughes, had all the paperwork ready and a loaner car gassed up and ready to go. They were supposed to take one full day to complete the work, but they got it done early. The work was awesome - it looks better than the day I bought it. I'm a hard person to please, and I was very happy! read more

Yesterday I took our 2014 Odyssey to Meyer for oil change and tire rotation. Van has about 23,000 miles. Had not been there three minutes and they had thrown a device on the front wheel and shown me a print out that they said indicated I needed an alignment. Last oil change at my home dealer in Rapid City, SD the mechanics said alignment was perfect. I felt I was being hustled for an unnecessary $90 alignment. Next Meyer said we needed a filter for the cabin air. Again, I felt pressure for unnecessary work. I think many people would have dropped $150 that wasn't needed. Buyer beware. read more

Meyer Honda went above and beyond to make sure my van was fixed earlier than expected and at a lower cost than I originally anticipated. I've used Meyer Honda in the past but recently moved away. We were coming back to visit friends and my van started to have major issues as we got close to O'Fallon. The amazing staff make me a service appointment right away. My van literally limped into town and Mike was there to help me every step of the way. They were kind, efficient and did a great job. Meyer always gives truthful and accurate information and they made sure my drive back to South Carolina was a safe one! read more

We are officially switching over from Mungenast. You have won our business! We called in last minute on a Saturday and Chris Hughes was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. The service department was bustling with service vehicles and we did not have an appointment scheduled but Chris understood the urgency of getting us into a safe vehicle when I explained we were on the highway and our car was making a grinding noise. He took us in without hesitation and was quick to find a solution for us. The entire service team was just as friendly and helpful. Before they got us into a loaner, they went through a quick check list to make sure we were not leaving anything behind in our car. Which was greatly appreciated because I almost left my garage door opener. Additionally, when I went to return the loaner, the gentleman that took they loaner keys reminded me to take off my house keys. I really appreciate these small details as I often overlook small but important details when I am in stressful situation like these. They were always one step ahead of us and did not miss a beat. Overall, I appreciate Chris and the rest of the staff's flexibility, quick thinking, and friendly service. I purchased a used car (low mileage 15,000) at Meyer. The salesman was not forthcoming with the information that the car had previously been in a car accident. Additionally, he told me the car was still under warranty (it was not). My family has bought 3 cars from Meyer. This will be the last. The salesman was dishonest. We are looking for a new car but we will not be using Meyer Honda again. read more

Went to this dealership for a recall item to be repaired. As usual they give your vehicle an inspection for additional items that need repair. They inspected my vehicle and came up with over $1300 in repairs. Took the car the very next day to a trusted mechanic and he could find nothing wrong even after giving him the Meyer repair list. Morale of this review: just because they're a dealership doesn't make them honest or ethical. Buyers beware! read more

The rating should really be 4.5 stars. We bought a car here about a year ago and I've been very happy with it. So far it's only needed the regular oil changes and a software update, and that's after 4 major road trips and several smaller ones. The people have always been friendly, and the service department is fairly quick. My one complaint is that they didn't call and let me know when the car was ready after the most recent oil change -- I called them about an hour before closing, and they said "oh, yes, it's been ready for a while." Otherwise, great place (though I most note I've never had a major repair done here -- I'll report back if I do, but hopefully it won't be needed!). read more

Meyer Honda has called back twice since this review. Each time, the salesman opened the call with, "I can't remember where we left it." I was surprised to get the first phone call after basically being told they weren't interested in dealing in their car. I was astounded to receive the second call considering that I had told them I already purchased a new vehicle. VERY odd behavior. read more

My wife went in yesterday for an oil change on her 2010 Accord. By the time she left they ended up charging her $250 for extra stuff that "needed to be done." What a crock. Ladies beware! If you don't know anything about a car don't go here for service! They'll stick it to you! read more

to all concerned; for several years and vehicles through this organization, we were more than satisfied with the service offered by them. more recently tho, it seems they have slipped in their concern for their customer. our family has three odysee vans and have had several in the past 15 years. my wife just purchased a new 2013 van and it came with a ding in the drivers door. the salesman said it could be rubbed out. i had my doubts and as it turned out they couldn't rub it out. they had to attempt to repair it and now there is a streak and mis matched paint. they have had this vehicle longer than we have. my wife took delvery based on their word that they could make it right. not so.... they ask what they can do for us. fix it or replace it. the only logical solution.... read more

I contacted this dealer to purchase a new car. After agreeing on a price, it was increased days later. Salesman very unapoligetic and somewhat condescending. Had previous experience of having to get my valves adjusted several times because after Meyer Honda adjusted them, they were loud enough to hear inside the car. This took multiple times to be corrected. Would never do business with this dealer or even have them service my car. read more

I was told by several local people to avoid Meyer Honda as they won't deal on cars. But since I'm a glutton for punishment I figured what the heck and went over there to test drive some cars. I must say our sales person was very nice and was very informative about the vehicles. We explained we narrowed our choices down to Honda and the Honda Accord. She wanted to make a deal but we hadn't shopped the competition. She said she would match or beat other offers. We thought great because we prefer to buy locally in town. We shopped the competition and every dealership in St. Louis was cheaper on price. EVERYONE. We found the best deal and brought it to Meyer Honda. The sales person flipped out saying she would only get $100 commission and Uncle Sam will get $30 of that. Like it's my fault the greedy owner of Meyer Honda pays his salesman peanuts. Talk about unprofessional. Hey what happened to matching or beating the competition??? The sales person said she wouldn't do the deal. I probably could have just bypassed her and bought the car directly from the sales manager. The dealership would have still made money. But I was pissed now so I went back to St. Louis and got the deal I wanted without the hassle. I saved over $1000 by going to St. Louis. So for all you O'Fallon residents who told me to go elsewhere...YOU WERE RIGHT!! read more

(My original review was deleted from yelp) BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! They have very friendly people, but that's where it stops. I want a business I can trust to do good work and have integrity when doing business with me and my family. Two examples: I was deployed to Afghanistan for a year and my wife goes in for some work. By the time they were done, they had charged her over 1500 dollars for work that didn't need to be done. On top of that, they did a bad job and I had to work out a fix from Afghanistan calling the manager. Fast forward a year after I get back. My wife goes in to have the fuel pump recall fixed. While they did that, they wrote up things that needed fixing. They came up with 2600 dollars of stuff that needed done. I was a mechanic before I came into the military. I checked all the stuff they claimed needed to be done. MOST of the very expensive stuff did not need to be done. The parts were in perfect condition. On top of that, when they checked the cabin filter, they didn't even bother to put the tabs back in to hold it from opening completely up. I don't know if they take advantage of unsuspecting women (very old stereotype....my daughter works on her own cars and does a darn good job) or they do it to everyone. They are out to rip you off anywhere they can and they do horrible work in doing it. DO NOT GO HERE. I won't even bring my cars in there now for free recalls. read more
