Would give zero stars if I could!!!! Absolutely the worst dealership I have ever dealt with!! Their service department is completely unprofessional! They had my car a total of 7 hours after driving 2.5 hours to get there only to get a call and be told my car has not even been touched and come back tomorrow! Attempted to reach the general manager, Patrick Newbold, who was conveniently "not available" then we asked to speak to the owner (Kent or Debbie Newbold) who told us when we bought the car to reach out to them directly for questions or concerns and guess what? He was also conveniently "not available"!!! They were not willing to try and accommodate the situation in any way whatsoever and told us we could come get our car that was past due for service because this so called appointment was booked out 3.5 weeks ago!! I never leave reviews but i felt like I should acknowledge the great service i received at Newbold BMW. I did not buy my car there but brought it in for service and experienced a very friendly atmosphere from every employee that walked by. Everyone said hello and asked if i needed anything. But i was there for repairs and the person i worked with David Noones was very knowledgeable and explained in detail repairs I needed that I was unaware of that were very important. I had been taking my car to Local Mechanics that do not have the expertise that a dealership provides. I've learned a hard lesson that convenience and price aren't always best. Rarely if ever do I write an on-line review, but a few weeks ago I encountered a company that deserves much praise, namely Newbold BMW of O'Fallon, IL, near St. Louis. For some time, I had been in the market for a late model Mazda MX-5 (or Miata), and after contacting several dealerships, I found that Newbold had one in my price range. My first contact with Newbold was on line, and I asked for an "out-the-door" price for the car. Almost immediately I received a reply from salesman Joseph Krick which was both responsive to my query as well as honest. By honest, I mean there were no "add-ons" that raised the price beyond the advertised price, which is unfortunately the practice of several dealers I spoke to. Mr. Krick's e-mail was polite and not at all pushy, Perhaps a week later, I contacted Mr. Krick with my "asks," namely (1) to deliver the car to my house (about two hours north of them), (2) to have the car inspected (at my cost, of course), and (3) to take the price down a little. Again, to my surprise, Mr. Krick answered ALL my "asks" to my complete satisfaction. The car passed inspection with nothing noted as problematic, and when we agreed on a price, Mr. Krick personally had the car delivered to my home by a dealership detail man. Another happy surprise was seeing that Mr. Krick had not just ordered but even installed my new license plates on the car. Mr. Krick told me he started out in car sales with Rolls Royce, and he certainly made me feel like royalty even with my relatively small purchase. This is a commendation both to Mr. Krick as a human being and professional, and also to Newbold for keeping him on staff. If I ever go looking again for a car, I will certainly contact Mr. Krick and Newbold before I make a purchase. Their honesty, sense of fair play, and willingness to accommodate is way beyond the norm and, in my mind, sets them apart. Part 1: This is the worst Toyota Service within the US. Our 2002 Toyota Sequoia was given to them without any issues on a Wednesday, for a routine service & balancing. 7 days later we finally get a return call from the writer "your sequoia is unsafe to drive, so we had ordered a part that arrived since Thursday-your sequoia's CONTROL ARM BOOT is TORN and the STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NEEDS REPLACEMENT! It should be adding about $700 plus?" Newbold Toyota- now crooked and fleecing for money from honest US citizens. Part 2 post Service Manager inquiry 7/27/23 OMG! This place NEEDS TO BE AUDITED ASAP. UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE MANAGER(S) FAILURES In meeting w/ the Service Manager Taylor, whom failed to enter our sequoia info into her computer before any issues could be addressed- rather sarcastically asking " well how OLD IS YOUR VEHICLE?" Cont'd to demean us that our vehicle was too old that a RETIRED MASTER MECHANIC, had to be called for his expertise! YET when we asked to speak to this RETD Mechanic- she immediately REFUSED stating he's @ a Drs appt!. So what I heard is that Newbold Toyota was taking instructions from a nonpayrolled retired employee! Taylor blatantly lied AGAIN stating "we are still waiting for a part"" when her writer Mark previously told us "part was here since LAST Thursday!" When we requested documents of the problem Taylor refused! When we requested a visual of the sequoia's issues - Taylor again denied! TAYLOR WAS UTMOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND APPARENTLY DISCRIMINATORY. After being tangled in her deceit of lies she had to tell us to leave - leading me to escalate and report such SERVICE FAILURES. PART 3: ESCALATION TOYOTA GM Steve, returns a call but in conversation attempts to negotiate a fee! Stating he can "waive the labor, but not the cost of part!" Now requesting $400? So - if Service already knew that said part was ordered but FAILED to get our acknowledgment or agreement- and FAILED to give us documents addressing any issues prior to ordering- then Toyota already PREMEDITATED and PREMATURELY PLANNED THIS SCHEME! That screams FRAUD! FRAUD! FAILURE AND FRAUD. read more

Terrible customer service, worst salesman is Tyler Conner, I bought a 2021 BMW 4 Series 3 months ago. After a month I got a brake pads change warning but I moved to another state at that time so I went to another BMW Service for the inspection and they figured that the Newbold BMW forgot to change the sensor of the brake pads before selling the car to me. However, they recommended me to request a refund from the BMW dealership where I bought my car which is Newbold BMW. So I texted Tyler Conner, It took a month to get a response even though I tried to get a response on a regular basis. They refused to cover the sensor changing cost. We hooked up with Rich, the salesman who had sold us our last car, in mid-December & Rich helped us decide on the model, found the car we ended up buying before it even hit the USA shores and managed to get it to us before Christmas! And Carlos helped us learn all the great new technology before we left the dealership and followed up the next week to see if we had any questions (which we did and he had us come back to resolve those question). After searching for a year for the right used M3 with a rare configuration, I found it at Newbold. As I am located over 2,000 miles away and would be having it shipped sight unseen, it was even more important than usual to have clear, prompt, and transparent communication, and Damon at Newbold was always very easy to work with. Working out a deal, submitting paperwork, and getting the car shipped could not have been easier, and the car arrived in even better shape than I had thought it would be. My enthusiasm and recommendation of Newbold actually strengthened as a result of a mistake on their part. After receiving the car, I noticed that it lacked an option package that it was advertised to have. As most of the features in the package appear to have been added as stand-alone options, I believe this was an honest mistake, but I was still perturbed. When I brought up the issue with Damon, that's when I became even more confident that I chose a great dealer to buy from. He was quite apologetic, never once tried to dodge responsibility or avoid blame, and we very easily worked out a couple of options to make me happy with zero pushback. I can't imagine most dealers would be so responsible, honest, and forthright in correcting their own mistake, especially for an out-of-state customer who by nature is not likely to be a returning customer in any way. No one can avoid every single mistake, but handling it with integrity and professionalism is what makes the difference between a great business and an ordinary one. Despite the issue, my experience all in all was top-notch, and I would recommend Newbold 10 times out of 10. I couldn't be happier with the car and the transaction, and I only wish my local dealer had anywhere near the same level of service! read more

I had to return several times to dealership addressing issues with the car which should've been address prior , ghastly experience. When I picked the car up a red system check light was on, back tinted window was torn and white residue was on the rubber inside all the doors. I was reminded of how many other customers were waiting which made me feel like my issues were not important. I had to bring to finance attention he never asked for the car key and title to my trade in. I never received a copy of the warranty. The saleman just did not appear very accommodating but very insensitive and arrogrant. read more

I bought a 2011 BMW 335d demo car with 6700 miles on it from out of town. Everything was as described on the car when I came to see it, and Rich G. was a pleasure to deal with. My only issue came when I drove the car for a few days and found it was misaligned from the dealership; I called them back and they immediately apologized and reimbursed me $200 for getting the car aligned correctly and my trouble. Overall, a very favorable purchase experience, if I were living in the StL area I'd use them consistently, they're much better than the 2 BMW dealers I use up here in Chicago. read more

So after careful thought it was decided to post this as a one star rating. The back-story with Newbold (BMW and Toyota) is that the BMW dealership has, until this last experience, been very customer-service oriented. The Toyota dealership had horrible customer service the two times we attempted to shop with them. The Toyota dealership cleaned up their acts by ridding themselves of a manager and some fresh associates. We made an appointment for 10:00am and were dropping the car off to be checked out for a light that had previously been on and an oil leak we noticed. At 3pm I called to check up on the car as we asked the service department to reach out to us before they began any repairs to verify the cost. Newbold BMW, upon arrival, the service rep (John), was wandering around and after about 4 minutes finally asked if we needed assistance. We advised that we did and he finally began getting our car checked in for our appointment. I personally advised the rep about the oil seep that was noticed and even advised where it could likely be coming from (later turned out it was in fact just that). The service rep, apparently just rushing us out the door, said "yes, and "ok" but did not annotate it on the service request sheet. at 3pm when I called the dealership to inquire about the status of the oil leak and everything else was advised the car had NOT been into service. I explained that was unacceptable and asked to speak with the service manager. I was then transferred to the original rep, John, who gave excuses about how the cars are cared for when they come in the door and since we were not waiting for it they got others cars into the shop. I asked, how BMW planned on replacing gaskets, if that was required, in the couple of hours remaining before the shop employees left for the day. They said well it may not be finished today. I, upset at this point, asked how we were supposed to pick up a car by 6pm if it wasn't even going to be ready, or completed. John said those things happen. I asked about a loaner and was told they didn't know if they had any. I demanded to speak with the service manager at this point. I reminded John that my appointment was at 10am and at 3pm they hadn't even looked at my car, let alone had it completed. It turned out that it also needed a set of tires which they could not get until the following day. I repeated all this frustration to the manger who assured me he would get the diagnostics completed for the BMW and get us something to drive if they needed to keep it beyond the day and he would call me back. At about 3:30pm the original service rep called back and the total was going to be about $2800 out the door for everything, including tires. Trying to save what I could, but still take care of the car I called around. Found out Plaza BMW could do everything on the list for about $300 less. I called Newbold and explained who we spoke with and their price and said if you can get us close we will just leave it here. John, the rep, who was obviously offended we found better tires and less expensive service across the river, said he couldn't do anything. I said it just seems odd that a service department would piss away a $2500 repair order. John said, "well, business is business I guess" replying to my comment. I asked to speak with the Service Manager and John said he was still out. Turns out the Service manager was in fact two desks down assisting another customer. I stepped outside and explained the situation with the service manger and said if you can get close and save us the trip to going across the river we would. Shocking to me, the Service Manager, looked to the rep and asked, "can we make this happen? Is it within the margins?" The rep then walked into the service managers office and as I followed closed the door on my face and said, "we need to talk." The service manager walked out and apologized that they could not work it in and the service rep walked out another door away from us. We left and made our appointment with Plaza BMW who eagerly was willing to work with us and earn our repeat business. Apparently, when Newbold cleaned up their Toyota Dealership they either moved them to BMW or apparently this John rep is trying to kill BMW's reputation. I'm not sure how, because we have never experienced, even a poor attitude, at Newbold BMW before this event. If John wasn't so arrogant I would have likely just marked it off as a "bad day" but this man was genuinely a bad person. John even lied about the condition of our tires after having them looked over by Plaza BMW, apparently as an attempt to "scare" us into doing business with them. The most off-setting moment was the fact that the service manager appeared to be taking his marching orders from this service rep who cost them service for both our BMW and Toyota's. read more
