This isn't about this Weber location, but it is about another one and it is also just a general warning to people about Chevy especially the Chevy equinox I would recommend no one buy a Chevy. In my Chevy equinox Chevrolet decided to keep using a part in the breaking system that they knew had a history of failure and they had actually recalled from other vehicles. My daughter was driving my equinox during rush-hour traffic when this part broke, making her brakes almost as hard as a rock, and she barely avoided a collision with a full gasoline, tanker truck, who knows how many lives could've ended because of this brake failure. The broken parts then made their way into my engine, completely ruining my engine and making my car in operable. I tried contacting Chevy, but they have shown me that they do not care about my situation or apparently the safety of their customers. There has even been a new class action lawsuit filed because of all the damage Chevrolet choosing to use this part has caused. read more

I genuinely appreciate them providing emissions testing services but the man working it was extremely rude to me when I asked a question. I didn't say a word the entire time until the end when I asked how long it took for the test to appear on the computer system he told me to stop talking and listen to what he had to say so he could close the garage door because he was cold. He never answered my question...simply told me the test was good for two years. read more

My 2014 Chevy Spark needed a new key fob, which are now discontinued. Thankfully Weber Chevrolet had 1 in stock and I got an appt in a short amount of time. My wait time was under 90 minutes as well. Staff were courteous, waiting area was comfortable and clean, price was very fair, and there was even a docking station to charge my phone! It was a bit of a drive from Belleville but worth it. Bought a car from George Weber. A couple years later got a flat tire on a Friday evening. Stopped by the shop right around the time they were closing as I could not drive on the tire. All I asked was for somebody to put my spare on so I could get through the weekend and then get it patched/replaced on Monday. There were 4 men in the service department at the time, but they all refused to help me because all of their techs had gone home for the day. Therefore, I sat in the parking lot of George Weber for over an hour until a friend could come put my spare on for me. I was told I could get a rental car from enterprise across the street & they would fix/replace the tire on Monday. But none of the 4 men there had it in them to change my spare tire for me. 2018 Chevy Silverado 86000 miles torque converter was locking up. they had my truck for a week and when I got it back it was doing the same thing after a couple hours of driving it. they did make the call to get it covered by the warranty that expired the day prior. Chevy should be sued over these transmissions in trucks there junk. good news I didn't have to pay out of pocket but still have the same issue which will eventually lead to a total transmission failure. the problem is they won't fix the underlying issues with better parts. they will use oem parts that are junk in the first place and put a bandaid on it. read more

I've bought and had serviced a Suburban, Corvette, Venture, Impala, Blazer, Camaro, Avalanche, and a Titanium Fusion. The place used to be the best car dealership I'd ever been to, and now they aren't even the best in Columbia. They sold me an extended warranty for 3000+ dollars and told me it covers the components that keep the car running just basically excluding electronics and the radio. This was not true, the first time I needed to use it, Ally denied the claim. It was a breakdown. Ally is the biggest ripoff out there, and when I asked for a refund, they are keeping a third of the initial cost, and I've only had the car for eight months. Weber should not be doing business with Ally, and their finance guy shouldn't be giving false information on what the warranty covers. Another $500 dollars gone. It's the last $500, I can guarantee that. read more

UPDATE* 08/24/18 Don't buy a vehicle from George Weber Chevrolet! We were told during the financing everything was handled and we would receive the registration in the mail. We even called up in January to confirm the papers we got were what we needed when it came time to renew tags. We were reassured they were. Again no mention of us having 30 days to pay taxes and titling. We went to the dmv today to take care of our sticker ust to be told the paperwork we have wasn't correct and we should have gotten a check cut to pay for titling and registration within 30 days of purchase since it was purchased at the Columbia, IL location. We were told by the dmv rep to go to the dealer. We made our way to George Weber today to resolve the issue. Spoke to the General Sales Manager Keith. I asked why our sales tax wasn't included as stated when we purchased the vehicle. I also stated that was the biggest reason besides our vehicles being older and using them as the trade in? Keiths response in a yelling tone was "it was my fault for not looking, asking questions and registering my vehicle in a timely manner." He stated "we aren't getting anymore money from them." He also while yelling at me said "you seem to be unhappy no matter what we do for you and said that we are blasting the dealership on social media." You are overall an unhappy person." I asked him why he had to raise his voice and yes I'm unhappy and put it on social media because I keep having car issues on an 18 trax that I purchased at your dealership that shouldn't have to even be looked at and now this. His response was "that's on GM we don't make the car, we sell them and try to stand by the product." Great managing Keith! We are now going to be out several thousands for the sales tax, title registration and all the late fees because we are past the 30 day mark. I had several issues with this new 2018 Trax including my radio being replaced because it wasn't quote "taking updates and faulty." They assured me this one is new and up to date and I shouldn't have any more issues. Not to mention when I got it back they left tools in my car. After replacing it within in a few months. I had to bring it in last month because my speakers were crackling when making a call or listening to music, then when calling out you had to fully turn the volume all the way up to hear someone, then one day I got an alert that said I was limited to call only activity, then my radio would no longer voice text or call out. They said they tried their phones. It worked fine. I asked what phones they had? They stated IPHONE 9 and X. They looked at it and blamed it on my old phone which was a Samsung S6. "They said technology is just moving so fast and my phone needed to be reset etc." Guess what I got a new damn phone a Samsung S9+. Ding ding guess what it's doing the same damn thing It did before. Plus now I can't get my wifi in the car to work. I also couldn't call OnStar from my radio or my mirror to have troubleshooting done for the wifi. I had to call from my new phone. I also video taped that shit. So they can't say it's my phone. I have been patient and understanding. I am now claiming LEMON. I have hit my point! read more

I went to this location after looking on line and talking with their internet salesman Joe Kielholz, we went down and looked at a used truck. I drove a few and got the feel for what I wanted. Joe let me take the vehicle home, and we realized that this vehicle wasn't the right one for us. So after spending some time with Joe, we drove a brand new truck. We were able to get into the vehicle we wanted at the right price. They were great to deal with and got me more than I asked for on my trade-in. In the matter of a few hours (on a saturday no less), we drove home in 2011 Silverado with 7 miles on it. I was amazed. Buying a vehicle has always been a hassle for me. Customer service after purchase of a vehicle is a joke. I sold the vehicle I bought from them and have been trying since may of this year to get the refund check for the extended warranty I purchased. I was also told the $900 interior protection package I purchased that they never did would not be refunded so there goes $900 pissed down the drain. I am owed close to $3,000 and was told by their finance guy "Chris" when he arrogantly told me he didn't need the paperwork I brought in to show the truck was sold and paid off he had everything he needed, then told me not to be calling and bugging him about it everyday that it will take 6-8 weeks for it to be sent to me. Well it's now September 6th and I still don't have to refund. The arrogant finance guy who did nothing but brag about hisself and his wife instead of keeping it professional and just getting to the paperwork when I bought the truck, needs to focus on his job and not his ego. I shouldnt know about his corvettes, and where he lived in florida for 10 years before coming back here to buy one of those really nice townhomes" you know the really nice new expensive ones in Maryville" as he put it. So long story short beware doing Business with them unless you want to fight for everything your supposed to get back when your entitled to it. Theonly good thing about the dealership and only reason I went back there, was Bill Emling. Such a great guy!
