It seems the owner of this business just commented on this review after it's been posted for 8 years. I can assure you, I am a real customer, who utilized his company's services when we bought our home. We had new carpet installed in our bedroom in our home in Modena Park. Since he doesn't have service records it's no wonder he doesn't remember doing our carpets. Respectfully sir, don't come on my review to say I'm a competitor trying to undermine your business. My account of my experience with your and your company is completely accurate. And now he's asking for a receipt from work I had done on my home 8 years ago. Who saves receipts for 8 years? it was November 2015. I live in Modena Place in NE Philadelphia. The fact that he's actually going on Yelp to try to discredit any negative review (which there are multiple) just shows he's not a good person to work with. He could have just acknowledged the poor experience her gave to me and my husband and the other people who have reviews him and called it a day. Yet, here he is, fighting a review that's almost a decade old. I saw him comment on another review that the reviewer must be suffering from a mental illness. That judgment is in poor taste, but not surprising. He seems like a real gem. It will be my extreme pleasure to never do business with him again. Again - I'm not a competitor, undermining your business, sir. I work in healthcare. No one I know owns a carpet sales company or installation company. I have nothing to gain by giving an incredibly honest review of your business. You sold me sub par carpeting for a regular price. I got nothing special from you or your company. After dealing with another company, I realized I should have shopped around instead of going with your company, based on another's recommendation. I encouraged others to shop around, so they wouldn't have buyer's remorse like I did. And Yelp won't remove this review because I have a good history with Yelp and rate company's fairly. That's how Yelp works. If you don't want people leaving accurate reviews, that you interpret as negative, use the feedback to improve your future encounters. It's unfortunate that every time you reply to me, you make yourself look more incompetent. You're doing yourself no favors. Was recommended Servi-King from a friend who had their whole house carpeted by this company. Met with Steve, who is a great guy and knows the business. He gave me a price I could not beat with any other company. Installation day went great. The installers showed up right on time and did a fantastic job. Carpet is very nice and looks better than I expected. Will definitely be back next time. read more

Majorly inconvenient that he doesn't accept credit cards. I mean, AT ALL. PRO'S: good selection of carpet; will work with you on pricing and since he's the owner he can offer you good deals; and we DO really like the carpet we got. CONS: well,,,,first off let me say that I am NOT making any of this up. We had a 2 room carpet install scheduled for a Sat around 2pm. The crew was running pretty good on time and got there a little after 2. We phoned Steve a few hours prior just to see how things were running and everything seemed on schedule, And it was, yay! Two installers showed up and one had a bandaged hand, Turns out that HE was actually the only installer while the other guy was a helper. Okay- well his hand was bandaged because he recently had his thumb and two other fingers lopped off in an accident. This is the INSTALLER. They come in, take the lay of the land and start getting ready. Now my husband and I had a plumbing issue that day in our downstairs bath near the front door (stay with me as this is relevant); the bathroom faucet was actually half off as we had a leak and were in the process of replacing the faucet when the installers arrived. Well after a short time I realized I hadn't heard any activity and to my horror the bathrm door was closed. I tapped and asked if someone was in there- no reply, then a few moments later I hear the water start running and then someone say "oh-oh", Well yeah, the FAUCET WAS BROKEN HALF OFF- why would you run water??! SO I had water jet all over my bathrm and a sheepish installer emerge saying he hadn't realized, blah, blah, blah. Need I mention that if he had asked PRIOR to using my bath I would have advised him of the current plumbing issue. I thought just helping himself to my bath without asking first was incredibly rude. Then he gestured to his bandaged hand and stated that he only wanted to wash his hand because he was worried it would get infected. Uh- what? They proceeded with the install and as we had two rooms and two different types of carpet ordered, they checked with us to see which carpet went in which room. My husband took them to the upstairs room and told them that the carpet that was already down in the entire upstairs was exactly the carpet that we reordered for the one bedrm upstairs that needed carpet. and that the darker carpet was for the downstairs bedrm. So yeah, they cut the wrong carpet for the wrong room. Yes the rooms were two different sizes. Then once everyone discovered this horrible error - thankfully, they salvaged the job but they had to seam it together to do so. This added an extra hour onto their time at least. To their credit they made it work. And when we called Stephen Lewan, the owner, while the install was still going on, to apprise him of the situation - instead of an "I'm sorry" or even an offer of a discount on either this purchase or on a future purchase- what we got from him was an accusatory tone and he asked if we had been home when it happened. Not cool. Like it was OUR fault? Don't you label the carpet when it leaves your warehouse? Isn't it tagged? Shouldn't it be? And how much easier could we have made it when we already had the exact matching carpet in place already upstairs? If I didn't live through it I would surely think that someone was making this up but I swear it's all true. And what stinks it that we really, really love our carpet but absolutely cannot bring ourselves to deal with this company again. read more

When I walked in there was noone in their showroom and Steve came out from the back on his cell phone, strike 1. He asked how he could help and I explained that I was referred by someone and hoping to give him business. I needed flooring for 2 rooms and carpeting throughout the house. I did not have measurements but was just looking to see what was available. Steve said I should have his son come out in their mobile showroom and he could do measurements and show me what they have since he could not do anything without out measurements. I did not want that, all I wanted was for him to show me some colors and flooring but he kept pushing the mobile truck and didn't seem at all interested in showing me anything in his store. I felt as if he couldn't push me out the door fast enough. He wanted my number to have his son schedule an appointment but I told him I would call him. I would not recommend this place for anyone since their customer service was the worse I had every experienced. If I could give less than 1 star I would! read more

I am so upset about my experience with Servi-King. We really liked the sales guy at the store but the installers were awful! They left marks all over our baseboards, we have strings from the carpet everywhere, and the seams are coming already coming up and are so noticeable! Go someone else where your carpet will be installed much better and the place doesn't just say, that's how carpet is installed. read more

Great job, love my carpet. Went to quite a few places looking for carpet and a friend had recommended Servi ~king. Found a carpet that we loved maybe it was a little more expensive but we did get financing and that is a big plus so you know you are going to pay a little more. We scheduled a time for install and did not have to wait weeks and weeks. Leo (I think) was the installer along with another guy and they did a great job and cleaned up they even brought their own vacuum. I have a little issue now with my step but it is no biggie and they are coming out to fix it. I don't know why people are complaining IMO this company has excellent customer service and they did a great job. I would certainly recommend them. read more

I'm not going to write a giant bad review here. All you need to do is read the other reviews. My only question is WHY? is this place still in business. They do a very poor job, they never return to fix anything. I know of people waiting for close to a year for them to return and fix their very bad mistake. I just need to tell you to just move on, there are plenty of great flooring places in lower bucks. read more

Extremely poor quality. Four rooms installed. Never will use again! Installers left all trash,unused carpet, even the cardboard rolls out front of house. My daughter lost a nights sleep crying. Owner did nothing. Awful ! Should be embarressard to sell such poor quality. read more

We went into Servi-King after seeing many Facebook Posts about great deals and promotions. We took the time to give the "little guy" a chance. When we walked in the door, the owner was sitting behind a desk and greeted us with a "well what do you need and how big is the room". Within a minute he was able to tell us he will do it for $499 without us even picking out a carpet without us really responding he dropped the price to 399 with padding, and installation.Then he directed us to a table for 4 different types of carpet on in and started rattling off thread counts. To most people, no one would even have a clue what a thread count is,let alone whatever he was pointing to but he still never decided to get up from the desk to show us the products on the table or even any other options. It was like you could only buy the carpet he had on the table. The carpet that he was promoting was an OK carpet but far from QUALITY. So if you are looking for quality and even just a little service and sales go else where. We were able to get a much better quality carpet with only spending $100 more, shop around your not getting a deal ServiKing, especially when you are going to have to replace it in a few years.
