Service Brewing is located in an old paper factory, and shares space with some other businesses.  It is in homage to those whi have served in the military and civil servants like police and fireman. It is fairly large and has Ping pong, Darts, and other games. The bar is dead center when you enter and there is a stage to the left where there is live music. There is also a cool chalk board where you can write out how you served. It was a nice touch. And... they are DOG FRIENDLY. On this night there was Blue grass, swamp music by swamp tooth.  It was an entertaining night. The BEER: Brewers Release 10 milk shake smoothie IPA 7% ABV... like a Pina colada with a hint of citrus zest, thus is a favorite SBC 7 Juicy IPA 7% ABV... slightly orangy with a little grapefruit, really good Mango get me a beer tropical smoothie IPA 7% ABV... I didn't get this one, Mango was faint with a soapy after taste Bohemian Citra Juicy IPA 7%... Never thought Citra and juicy are a thing and this beer proves it Peanut Butter-Jelly Drip kettle sour 6.6% ABV... I got more grape jelly and popcorn, still it was quite good All the IPAs I tasted were on the dry side.  Enjoyed my visit here.  The service was great and the beer was also very good. read more

Service Brewing is absolute top notch, best beer in Savannah! Such a fun place, with great bartenders and staff. Especially Reid and Lauren, who always give my pup lots of treats and pets. Usually have live music on the weekends, trivia on wednesdays, run club on thursdays, and other fun events throughout the year. They don't serve their own food at the brewery, other than bags of pretzels, but there is almost always a food truck parked outside. Freedom Machine is a great IPA, and their small batch taproom exclusives are unbeatable. The taproom has a giant "how do you serve?" chalkboard so when you go be sure to check it out and include how you serve! They also have board games, dart boards and a ping pong table. read more

We came around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. They were crowded, but had plenty of space for social distancing. They had a food truck outside. Staff were wearing masks and they require masks too. They offer masks for those without. The bartender was so friendly and helpful! He set the tone for our time at Service. The inside is so big. We loved the café lighting. Definitely fit for an event, like a wedding. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. They have covered tables too. The fact that it's veteran owned makes it that much better! We got the Love Boat, a bourbon barrel aged chocolate cherry stout, and the 6th Anniversary Beer, a berry vanilla creamsicle sour ale. Both were very good! I love that this place is veteran owned and they have a huge chalkboard where you can write your name and service info. Military gets 10% off on merchandise. This place was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in we were greeted, we were welcomed and had great conversations with the two bartenders working. They also allow dogs in the brewery as long as they are friendly and everyone loved our pup which was a huge bonus. It was extremely clean, the beer tasted great and we were able to just sit back and relax. We also got the opportunity to meet the owner and he was great as well. The overall concept in design is very military themed as the owner is a Veterans and my wife & I being Veterans we're glad we could support a fellow Veteran. The night there was not much going on but they seem to have live music, bingo and food truck nights that we were informed about as well. The location is just a little bit away from the super touristy areas but it is definitely worth it. We loved it and would recommend! read more

We were looking for a relaxing spot on a Saturday afternoon in Savannah where we could hang with our pooch. She loved how cool the floor was as soon as we got there. We spent an hour or so hanging out drinking some craft brews. I had the Freedom Machine IPA which is their version of a New England hazy. It was well worth the cost for a pint. I ended up getting a 4-pack of 16 ounces to go. The space is very dog friendly and family friendly. Will plan on returning the next time we are in Savannah. We loved stopping here on our walk from the hotel to River Street. This is a pretty large brewery with plenty of space for sitting and playing. The beers were well priced and the staff was friendly. There are games to play inside including ping pong and darts. There was a DJ there with good music. They only serve drinks here, but it seems they invite different food trucks to park outside. Very surprising location, and an even very surprising experience... The vibe is chill, the selection is sizeable, and the location was nothing short of well, frankly, spectacular. My son and I had their double IPA, while the son's wife had their Churro ale. My wife, not a beer drinker, tried their raspberry mint craft soda. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. The place itself is humongous. Quite possibly the largest brewery I have been to, to date. Though the area is undergoing some renovation, and parking is a bit lacking, the place is very inviting and with all the room they have I can only imagine what they can offer the community in terms of a venue. read more

We arrived around 4-430 to meet up with friends from out of town. Super chill inside, and the beer tenders were helpful and friendly. We sampled various beers and they were so patient and helpful. Our friends left, and we decided to have one more beverage lol... who knew they had trivia the night we were there (Wednesday). We decided to stay for trivia, and I was pleased that it was a format that I'd never seen before. It was so fun, and there was free pizza?! And $100 prize for the winners?! Sweet notes of banana but not over powering. Light and refreshing. This place is pet friendly inside and outside. It's a large space but parking can be an issue. They have darts and some games throughout the brewery. It's a cool industrial vibe. Sometimes they have live music which can get a bit loud with the acoustics. Service has always been my husband's favorite brewery! One of the best local businesses that we love ! He was craving for some of their delicious beer since the quarantine began . Per his own words : it's an essential non-essential during the stay at home! So today, since they were running specials and curbside pickup , he got a couple of crowlers and a 6 pack. The curb had marked directions to get in and get out with marks spaced 6ft . A short queue to the stall that provides the beverages . No one is allowed inside the facility. In normal times, the place has a great laid back feel to it with a lot of free seating inside as well as outdoor. Pets are allowed (yay!). There are a lot of board games as well as a TT table and a dart board! You can take a bunch of buddies (not to mention your fur baby too) and have a pleasant evening. I do not drink , so the next part is entirely based on my husband's experience . As for the beers, they have a few regulars like Rally point (Pilsner) and a lot of specials that keep changing . The beers are fresh and refreshing. Today's special Saison was a pale ale with a crisp, foamy and hints of fruit. Highly enjoyable overall. read more

This place is hard not to love. As the name would suggest this brewery is veteran-owned, and they carry that thematically through their beers, beer hall, and everything else. I had Lincoln's Gift and one of the IPAs and both were great as well as reasonably priced. The setup here is a beer hall, so you'll likely sit with someone else but there's plenty of seating. Staff is extremely friendly, as is the owner who seems to be around a lot looking at these other reviews. When we came they had a bluegrass band which was a nice touch. They also have a lot of board games available to play, and also food truck to help ensure you never leave. Only gripe would be the location on an industrial road off the main drag, however take a Lyft if you don't feel comfortable walking. Service's offering starts with some quality beers, including the Compass Rose IPA and Rally Point Pilsner which I had previously tried around time, but the brewery includes some of their R&D and harder to find beers which adds a great reason to visit. But it's not just beer, a veteran owned affair with amazing and friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere make this slightly out of the way stop worth it! Pros: The beer - They offer 4 oz flight pours but our bartender guided us to the rarer selections based on his recommendation. The ambiance is a larger warehouse similar to other industrial brewery concepts. If you've ever been to other large breweries or places like Denver, CO it was very similar with lots of games, tables, chairs, etc. Very comfortable Dogs are allowed! (that's a pro for me) Extremely friendly service. Really wasn't treated better anywhere! Cons: Location is just a little out of the way and looked a little questionable as we walked. It was no issue while we were there. Other notes: They can a large amount of beer and it's available throughout the south (I believe I had some when I was in Alabama...but it's hazy).
