I really enjoy this brewery. Don't judge me for closing with a seltzer. The Cherry Bomb is delicious!

Although off the beaten path I love coastal. The staff is helpful. The beers are great. The atmosphere is welcoming. On Wednesday they have D&D going on never played but it was kool to see. They host all kinds of events too. Looking forward to heading back soon for some beers!

Sadly I only got one picture...only because I was having too much fun! We went on a slow day but our bartender was so much fun!!! He was explaining how they make the beer and everything that goes into the process. It was so cool how to took his time to explain that to us. It made the beer cooler to drink knowing how it was made. I also got a souvenir glass which is fun to add to my collection. The only thing I didn't like is it's not downtown so you can't really walk anywhere else. You will have to drive to this location.

This might be the best brewery in the area. It is off the beaten path as most breweries are in many places around the country. The building is huge which gives us ample space to social distance that is if there are not too many patrons inside. There is an outdoor area with benches but beware of the mosquitoes. I got torn up. I had the Inshore IPA which was quite a nice IPA, smooth and tasty. But the best beer in my opinion is the Dawn Patrol Mole Imperial Stout. Rich coffee goodness and a full mouth feel you'll find yourself quite impressed with this beer. I hope to visit again next time I'm in the area.

Stopped by Coastal on a visit to Savannah, I arrived in the afternoon on a Friday and there were not that many people there. I went to the bar, the bartender was very polite, offering me suggestions based upon what I like (stouts and porters) I sampled two beers and settled on the peppermint porter. Unusual? Yes. The best porter I ever had? No. Interesting but still good? Definitely. The brewery is not within walking distance of the widely popular historic district like many of the others. However after visiting a few others, I would say that I liked Coastal the Best. They also have a Mario Kart 64 tournament?! If I was local I would definitely be there for that. I am no stranger to microbreweries and I would definitely visit Coastal again. Also Coastal has the BEST logo I have seen at a brewery, I highly recommend getting a pint glass there.

This is one of my favorite breweries in Savannah. It is off the beaten path, so it is not overrun with tourists. They have a large selection of beer, of which my favorite is definitely the keller's milk stout. It is a relaxed atmosphere with lots if different games, including Mario kart! They host a lot of great events too, from comedy nights to different food competitions. Definitely worth going to grab a few beers!

Great selection of beers to sample from. I thought the event that we went to for One Love Pet Rescue was great! It was awesome service by the rescues and people's personal pets. Bought some swag and enjoyed our time there with music that was great too! I highly recommending visiting.

Great craft beers and friendly people. No food served at all. Growlers they ran out of and they have no pitchers of beer ! Go figure .

F7n atmosphere. Good beer ! The day we were there a great food truck was available. A duo playing guitars (Castaways) did a wonderful job.

Surrounded by shipping containers, it is its own special space where you can find a seat and enjoy the food and drink you grab, play games you brought on the tables (think brewery type action on that front), or just hang out with friends. I had a t-rex burrito - brisket, beans, rice, roast poblanos and onions, avocado, cilantro and a crispy cheese shell while there. Best burrito I ever had? No, but my first choice would have been the food trucks (that were not scheduled to arrive while I was there) and next time, even if I still don't time it right, there will plenty of other things to try. That, with some board game time, two beers from the bar, and absolutely perfect weather for being outside, made for a great day here.

Here's why: when paying the person processing my payment selected the tip level and paid themselves a 30% tip before I could do anything about it, so beware. Inside, the food and beer are better. There is also a large beer selection inside instead of ordering at the outside window, but the service in both of these locations was excellent. They also had live entertainment, which was a great addition. Food has improved. Try the dry rub chipotle wings. They are delicious. Owners: look into the food truck issue. You will lose customers because of this. I did not make an issue of it because I was with a large group and did not worry about the $8 auto tip on a $17 total bill but if this happened all the time it will catch up with you. Worth addressing.

It is now all kid games and vending machines, and all their merchandise is packed in the corner by the side door. And I understand they wanna be family, friendly, and kid oriented however they also have moved their chips and salsa from their menu; and there's lots of families with little kids so if you wanna come here, I don't recommend coming on a Sunday night. Since it is Sunday night, they have all of the sport games playing they have baseball, soccer, golf, etc. I'm pretty sure they do watching for the FIFA as well. Overall, our bartender is very knowledgeable regarding what drinks have dairy one of the sours has dairy. His name is: Bryce One of their light wheat beers has dairy, and their dark stout also has dairy. It is not mentioned in the menu given to us for their taps, etc. however, it definitely should be added to the menu.

The hardware store even has a post office inside, so it's truly a one-stop-shop here. The outdoor area is gorgeous and filled with plants- and the plants are also for sale. I'm sure some customers spend a good bit on making their yards beautiful after a few beers. There's ample seating, with tons of chairs, small tables for groups of 2-3, and picnic tables. A food truck was there serving smash burgers, and I believe they have a rotation of food trucks since they don't serve food. Bolts and Brews is limited to beer and wine (no liquor), but you'll find plenty to drink. Draft beers are limited but marked on the menu. Many of the beers are canned, and you'll find local favorite breweries (Edmunds Oast, Snafu, Holy City) as well as a lot of beers from breweries in other states. This is the beauty of being mostly a canned beer spot. They also do flights of mimosas and at the time, offered a full six flavors of mimosa. I had a mimosa with a mixture of peach and mango juice, which the friendly beer-tender recommended. It was a good pour for only $6 and hit the spot after a VERY hot 5K in one of the neighborhoods nearby. You can grab a beer here after buying plants or shopping in the hardware store- and folks do- but Bolts and Brews is also a destination with comedy nights, bingo (the prizes are plants), sip and paint night, and live music on Fridays. The folks who manage this spot have really transformed it from a hardware store to a place where the community can gather. If Fleet Feet hadn't co-hosted the fun run/walk 5K with them, I wouldn't have known about Bolts and Brews, but I'm glad I do. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular here.
