I had my 13+ year old HVAC finally die on me about a month ago during the 100°+ sweltering days. I called them and within 2 hours the technician came out to diagnose the problem, discovered it was time to replace the system, but temporarily fixed it until we could agree on price, model & install date. 2 weeks later, the city permit was pulled, they had their electrician & plumber out, and the entire system was replaced. Exactly on time, as expected & friendly. They laid mats down while walking inside to not get dirt anywhere on my floors, they wore masks, informed me of exactly what to expect, who to expect on site, etc. Booth was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through all the options for systems, design, pricing, etc. I cannot recommend them enough!!

They quickly responded and the technician came out to access the air conditioning unit. It didn't take him long to let us know that multiple parts had to be replaced in addition to the coils to be cleaned. The total estimate came to almost $2.8K. Since I didn't feel comfortable with that amount I declined the work and asked for a write up. The technician became very upset, charged us a $75 fee for the service call and yelled at my mom that he had wasted his time coming out when he could have spent time with his family. To add he did not write very legible and when my mom asked if he could write the estimate legibly he snickered at her that the ink would darken. I invested in a portable air conditioner unit and fans and a few days later our regular "trusted" technician made it out to the house. The problem turned out to be a loose wire in the outside unit. The coils needed to be cleaned but the immediate issue was the loose wire. For $280 our air conditioner was back in business. SHAME ON ALEXANDER SERVICES for trying to rip us off in this manner. And shame on them for sending this completely incompetent person out to our home. They were quick to pull the $75 for a completely bogus estimate and treating my mother like garbage! No senior citizen should have to endure the abuse my mom had to go through with this piece of garbage! Never again! I was struck with a permanent physical disability since buying our new house so money was really tight. However for various reasons it appeared that in fact both the in side and out side unit had completely failed. We verified with three other AC companies. Our families recommended C&J as an honest straight forward company that stood behind their work. They may not be cheap, but what they install works . . . period. On my first call, they answered all my questions and never minded my questions. Their quote is so thorough! You know exactly what you are getting. They give you options to pay, including a discount if you pay with a check, cashiers check On the date of installation, they arrived on time, and protected the flooring. Employee 1 arrived and began working on the outside. Employee 2 arrived and began working on the inside unit. Ryan, the owner, arrived with the equipment and I was able to take photos of the new equipment and see the old equipment out. He stepped away and his two employees continued working. The owner returned and was doing the finishing things. Installation was completed as projected. Overall, a great experience. Very happy. I wouldn't go elsewhere. Get the AC replaced and move on with your life! If I ever talk to Ryan again it will because I'm bringing him more business or it's time for our annual check up. :)
