If 5+ stars were available we would give Zimmermann the highest rating. We have used Zimmerman's services for several years. They are the best at customer service, complete knowledge of hvac machines and their functionality. We have used other companies during our more than 50 years of home ownership. Zimmermann is the best by far! Over time they have done repairs for us, we have their maintenance contract which we recommend and they replaced our entire hvac system. Every call whether maintenance, service, repair or replacement was handled with white glove level care. My neighbor and I both purchased system from Zimmerman due to recommendations from previous customers. The install of the system went flawlessly it's just the after care that is nonexistent . Its been three years for both me and my neighbor and they have never called or returned to do the maintenance that was promise or anything at all. I have been with Zimmermann for over 4 years and happy to say that we are very happy with their services. I am not sure what has happened with Zimmermann Air Conditioning and Heating. When we had them install our new HVAC unit in the spring of 2022 they were Johnny on the spot, very responsive, and quick. Since then they are unresponsive when calling for estimates or repairs. Even when they say they are going to call you back they don't. Had them come out a few weeks ago to give us an estimate on installing a split HVAC unit and am still waiting. Called yesterday afternoon to let them know they AC unit was not working and asked them to call us to get someone out to repair it and it is now 24 hours later and still no call from them. Apparently once the big sale is completed they just don't care anymore. I am beyond hurt and frustrated at the lack of care and concern for their existing customers. We even have a service agreement with them to boot. read more

My experience was unique but unfortunate. On July 1st I requested after hour services because it was my hubby bday and in laws were coming to visit. It's a 79. Dollar charge for after hours. Trey arrived he was nice and filled the a/c with Freon totaling 1,274 dollars. By Saturday evening the a/c was no longer cooling. I attempted to call the office in search of an after hour option but was only able to leave a message. Of course it was July 4th. I attempted to text Trey the tech to determine if they would be closed on July 5th. No response until the 6th. So I had to call many different companies to find one open. On Tuesday I got ahold of the company to see if I could at least get my late night fee back considering I spent almost 1,300 for it to just leak out. They offered to come out and look but I already was having a new one installed. For 11,000 dollars. I went with Zimmerman because of the good reviews but unfortunately this experience was not good for me. read more

I called this company this morning, Jonathan was out here within an hour of me calling. Our unit is very old and does need to be replaced, but since we just bought the house, we don't have the money just yet to replace it. He was very respectful of that and didn't try to pressure us into anything, just gave us factors to consider and his professional opinion. In the end, it was repairable and he was able to get the part within the hour and get it fixed. We're hoping we can get a couple more years out of it till we are better able to afford the cost of replacing it. When it does come time to do so, I will definitely be calling them again. When our 2 year-old American Standard HVAC suddenly stopped working on a Saturday, I dutifully used Zimmermann's online feature to report my problem. I made my report @7:30 pm and said I could wait until the next day for a call back. At 10:15 am the next morning I had not heard anything so I called their emergency repair number. At @ 12:15pm on Sunday I finally received a return call and was told they were going to schedule my repair for Tuesday. That's four days from when I first reported the problem. I realize this happened on a weekend and the 4th of July weekend at that. Seeing as how outside temperatures were going to be from 98 - 102 degrees I asked what they considered was an emergency request. I was told they considered an emergency as danger to either health or property. I'm definitely not pleased with this level of response! read more

Zimmerman A/C and Heating replaced two complete AC and Heating units in our home. From the estimate to the follow up they were very professional. No excuses, just promises made and kept. The work crew was organized and professional. The job was estimated correctly so all the parts, tools and equipment were on site when needed. The team was done with two units in two days. Very pleased with their work as well as the new units. Supervisor Terry did the initial walk though estimate as well as the final inspection and follow up. Clean up was done following the work. Woodwork rubbed/nicked during the installation was replaced or repaired. Replaced as in measured, cut, painted and caulked. Very nicely done. The support after the sale (parts/labor warranty) were top-notch, too. As a member of the IBT I was pleased to see the employees were happy with their work and company. Their level of training and camaraderie were impressive. I recommend Zimmermann A/C and Heating for your HVAC needs. 5 stars. read more

My husband and I hired Zimmermann's to clean our HVAC system on Friday, 07/05/2022. The technician that was sent to our home had to call a supervisor out to help him complete the cleaning and get the system running again. On Friday night (07/08/2022) our A/C stopped working and the temperature inside our home was steadily rising due to the 110 degree temperatures outside. We decided to call Zimmermann's early on Saturday morning (around 9:00a.m.) and were told that they would be sending someone out as soon as they could. By the afternoon, no tech had arrived so we called again and were told the same thing. Yet again, no technician showed up. We called a third time in the late afternoon and were yet again told that a tech would be over as soon as possible to evaluate our system. By this point we determined that we could not stay the night in our home due to the increasing heat. Ultimately, we ended up renting an Airbnb for Saturday and Sunday nights. My husband finally received a call at 5:08 on Saturday evening telling us that a technician was on their way over at but that he would not be there for another 30 minutes. The technician began working on our system and determined that it required the replacement of the blower motor which was presented to us as an easy fix -- his estimate was that the replacement of the motor would take 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. At this point it was around 7:00p.m. on Saturday night so my husband paid for the motor on the spot and was told by the technician that they would be over "first thing Monday" to repair the system. Monday arrived and my husband arrived back at the house from the Airbnb early to meet the technician. However, nobody showed up so he called Zimmermann's at 9:21a.m. and was informed that we were not going to be serviced "first thing" as we were promised on Saturday, but instead the best they could do was schedule us for a 2:00-4:00p.m. time slot. My husband insisted that the technician stated that this was urgent and that we would be serviced first thing in the morning. He was then told that they were behind on reading notes. Per my request, my husband called Zimmermann's again at 2:03p.m. to ensure that a technician was still being dispatched to our house to which he was told that the technician was on their way and would be 30 minutes because they had to stop at the warehouse to pick up the necessary parts for the fix. At about 2:30 a tech finally arrived (he was a different tech than had been out on Saturday and who had promised us that we would be seen first thing Monday) and began working to repair our A/C system. The technician worked on our system for approximately 2.5 hours before finally calling a supervisor to come out and help. I personally called Zimmermann's to request that a tech with more experience be dispatched to complete the repairs at our home and was told that a note would be sent to the current tech and that that was all that could be done; this did nothing. The supervisor was able to re-assemble the unit and had it running with cold air in under 45 minutes. So at 6:35p.m. our A/C was finally back on and running. We did not have A/C from Friday night (7/08/2022) at 9:00p.m. until Monday night (07/11/2022) at 6:30p.m. and our home was not cooled down to a reasonable temperature until 10:00p.m. Our 2 cats and 1 dog were made to live in a house with an internal temperature averaging 92 degrees for 3 days due to Zimmermann's continual run-around. We could not afford to board them and had nowhere else to send them. We were made to spend $800+ on an Airbnb for 4 adults, a 2 year old, and a 7 week old infant due to Zimmermann's continual run-around. For 4 adults it may have been a reasonable decision to stay in our house, but we simply could not make an infant and toddler stay in a 92 degree house for days at a time. I called Zimmermann's again at 5:50p.m. on Monday and asked to speak with someone in the service department due to general incompetence we experienced from their technicians. I was transferred to the manager of the call-center/reception and was told that she would be putting in a note marked as "urgent" but that all of the service managers had already gone home for the night. She told me that "hopefully" someone would call me back on Tuesday, 7/12/2022, to discuss our negative experience. I never received a call from Zimmermann's regarding the numerous issues we faced throughout this process. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

First and foremost, when I say that this company has exceeded my expectations that is huge as I have very high expectations when it comes to customer service and business. From the initial contact, you are prompted to click 1 for new customers and 2 for an existing customer. As I was a new customer I was directed to Luke, the owner. It is my assumption that all new customers get directed to him, which is actually very smart, this ensures the first person a new customer interacts with is the owner, sets a pretty high standard already. Luke was very professional and patient. I was driving in from out of town with a toddler and was told my A/C went out prior to my arrival home. Luke made sure that I had a technician at my home by the time I arrived. James was the individual who arrived at my home. I believe he is actually the Service Manager. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about James. He was kind, patient, explained what he was doing to try and diagnose the problem, and even broke down his diagnosis with real-life examples to help us understand the issues with the compressor and evaporator coils in our A/C unit. We ultimately needed to get a brand new unit as ours was well over 10 years old, but even giving us this news we weren't mad. James helped us by explaining ALL of our options and did give recommendations. At no point did we ever feel pressured or forced to make a decision. James made sure we received 3 portable stand up A/C units to ensure we had some sort of cooling until our new unit was installed. What really stood out about James was that he seemed to genuinely care about the job he was doing and the people he was serving. I told him a negative story about an A/C company we had come out to our home a month prior and his response was "well, while that was not our company, we want to make sure that we make this right. We want to show our customers that there are good A/C companies out there that care about the customer". James also had a trainee (i don't recall his name) with him when he installed the portable units and even he was polite and respectful, even said "yes, ma'am" in response to questions! The next interaction I had was with Michael and another young man (I did not catch his name), both men were professional and polite. I directed them to where the existing units were at and Michael informed me of what he would be doing and I left them both to do their job while I attended online schooling. They even taped cardboard down on the floors to protect them and even vacuumed the floors when they were done. They even completed the job ahead of schedule and Michael walked me through explaining the new units both inside and outside and the new thermostat. We did have a freak accident where the breaker shut off the system that same night, I made a call and not only did Terry, the representative who answered my call assure me they would take care of it, Luke even called to follow up! Mind you this was like at 9:30 pm, within 30-40 minutes, guess who showed up, Michael!! The same person who actually did the install, what a relief this was as he would have been the only one who knew what he did and could correct it. He figured it out and corrected it. Today is the first full day with the new system and I even received a follow-up call from James and he was aware of the small issue we had with the system last night. Clearly this shows their communication within the company is very effective. What i love about this company is that their communication with the customer doesn't stop once the job is handed off to the installer. They continued to reach out to me to ensure I was happy and to make sure everything was working great. This company just wants to make sure they are doing it right. James and Michael repeatedly said "if you need anything or have any questions, please call or text, you have my number". It's genuine and that makes a difference between this company and the next. We have used Zimmermann before for our semi-annual check of our heating & a/c system. This last call to them was a disappointment and unprofessional. On the FIRST summer appointment in April, they scheduled an appointment time with me and when the time came, they were a no show. I called them them the next day and they SECOND appointment was cancelled AFTER they were due to arrive. I was led to believe they did not have someone available. As an apology to me, they told me that they would give me a year's worth of maintenance and free a/c filters for a year as well. (I have the text messages) That was very generous. When the technician came out to service our system and measure for the filters, we discussed a new system. The technician, who was very polite, explained the types of systems but would not elaborate, but instead said he would refer a salesman to us. Shortly after, we began taking estimates for a new system. This took us some time and we called them again to speak with a salesman. I left a message and no one called me back. However, other companies were quick to respond. So we chose a Trane system from one of Zimmerman's competitors. I understand that sometimes a customer can get lost or overlooked when one has a busy business. But this was just rude. When we followed up on the filters (before deciding on a purchase of the new system), we were ghosted by the company. On that note, we went with another company. I have them 3 stars because at least previous visits were OK. read more

I have a story about Zimmerman AC Company. I had a leak in my Ceiling. They advised me to replace my entire AC system in order to fix it. I paid 10,000 dollars got a complete new system asked them multiple times if this would fix the leak they promised me it would. I also asked them the day they came and replaced it. Again they promised that it would fix it. Fast forward 3 days later the leak isn't fixed. Zimmerman sent about person out and then told us ohh no the new AC unit would never fix your leak. We got completely used by them and now they are not doing anything to fix the mistake they made. Our other AC unit was working perfectly fine but they took advantage of us because we needed the leak to stop. I have asked them multiple times to at least pay for our insurance deductible, because we have thousands of dollars in water damage because the ceiling kept leaking. They lied to use and took advantage of us. We just want help with the money we have lost because of them taking advantage of us. read more

I have used Zimmerman for several years and think they rock! A friend recommended them back in 2006 on a 100 degree August day when my AC died. She said she had used and trusted them for many many years. I got home from work and my AC unit had quit, it was already after 5 pm. Larry came out and worked many hours , FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE, and finally got it running. NO spending the night in a stifling hot house! He also educated me on compressors and their proper location outside the house. Information I have never forgotten. I have used them ever since, and last year put in a whole new, unit. I feel comfortable with any of his employees coming out to the house, they are all friendly and most important- competent! Yes, I can and DO recommend Zimmerman AC and Plumbing. read more

Yesterday I had a scheduled tune up for my HVAC system which Zimmermann installed almost 3 years ago. Along with the regular tune up I wanted to question them about the issue of my outside system shutting on and off every 5 seconds when the AC is on. There was no reason to question. Once James started inspecting the system, I was asked if I was aware of this and how long I have been having this problem. After further inspection it was discovered that I was very low on freon. I'm not sure why Albert didn't discover this during the last inspection, but James was very efficient in his job. He even gave me a tutorial on how to change out my air filter. Getting to the point...when I came home today after work, my house felt amazing! It was so wonderfully cool in here I just had to comment on it. Great job James. Called Zimmerman air conditioning on Tuesday morning received a return phone call before the office was officially opened to schedule a service call. Luke came out examined our unit and determined that some repairs were to be made. He also saw that the previous repairs that we had done were subpar and that needed to be taken care of prior to our home selling. Albert came out a few days later to do the repairs on our unit and did an exceptional job. Zimmerman air conditioning fixed and cleaned up past subpar work by another company.
