They then texted me the day after they had made the initial visit saying they'd be here on day 3 between 8AM & 12PM to fix the issue. They explicitly stated in the text "We understand your issue and are coming to fix it". 11:50 comes around and I ask for a more precise ETA. They respond back that they won't have the part until the 13th. So...the two texts you sent that said you'd be here on the 11th were BS? And you waited for me to ask before you told me? This isn't a normal winter. Nothing is normal these days. It's ridiculous to need AC in February, but here we are. I don't have confidence this will be fixed before the weekend. I will gladly update my review if Stellar can prove to come through with a fix and, for once so far in our interactions, deliver true to what they told me. Right now, I'm dubious! The person who visited Monday and diagnosed the issue was knowledgeable and very friendly. A third of my house's lights were not working, and the breaker was popping immediately after trying to turn on any light. So, I wouldn't have minded paying $250, if the "technician", not electrician (even thought this happened after a major storm) actually figured out the problem. He had the audacity to try and convince me I needed to replace every light fixture, light bulb, and light switch, in my living, dining, kitchen, pantry, and laundry room. He quoted me nearly $3,000. Not only that, I was to supply all the materials for this, so that 3,000 was just labor, I was expected to go out and get every thing they needed. I literally laughed, and he tried to explain why he knew it was the fixtures themselves and not the breaker or wiring, which his explanation was unintelligible. I know maybe as much as the average technician would when it comes to electric work, and his explanation was bogus. I tried to talk it through with him, I didnt want to outright say I dont believe you. So instead I said okay well thanks I wont be needing the service you quoted, I can replace all of the fixtures, and what not, myself. And he kind of just froze. He asked are you sure? I said yes, who do you think installed the chandelier, ceiling fan, and dimmers? Im not paying 3k for crossing wires, I have a ladder. Then I went into my hall closet, pulled out a pack of LED flush mounts, and said see I already have the kitchen covered. My husband was in the background trying not to laugh. Anyway, I continued the conversation asking to pay for today. Things only spiraled from here, his card reader did not work, so he had to call another technician and read my card numbers to him, then he said we would get a receipt in our e-mail, but I didnt. He said well I sent it, arent you blah blah at blah.com, and I was like no, thats not me. So he also sent a detailed receipt to a different customer, and I am in a state funded address protection program, meaning, not even my bank knows my real address. But lo and behold, some stranger has my real name and address, my phone number and probably part of my card number. Thanks Aaron's electrical service. Needless to say I got an actual electrician to come, the problem was what I thought to begin with, an arc fault, no lights needed to be changed, no switches or lightbulbs, and it cost less than Aaron's service fee. It was fixed in less than an hour. I should be refunded for the diagnosis because he was wrong, if I would have let them come in, and do the work he quoted, I would be out 3K and my lights still would not have worked.

Here's the story. I was quoted $3300 (parts and labor) to replace a 20 gallon tank hot water heater and add a flood stop valve. Now I've had a 40 gallon water heater replaced before at a different house and it only cost me $1300 (with parts and labor) so I definitely had some sticker shock. Maybe that's normal now, but I'm not sure that labor inflation has gone up this much in 5 years. Maybe it has though. . . (Doesn't look like it when I check homedepot.com though). Second, I was inquiring about maybe going tankless because I have an attic mounted water heater and I would definitely like to not have to worry about losing a ceiling one day because the tank fails. The person from this company was vehement that tankless water heaters use more electricity than tanked water heaters. What? Isn't the whole point of tankless water heaters that they use LESS electricity? Hasn't most of Europe switched over to tankless because they use less electricity? Doesn't the US Government's EPA say that tankless units use 34% electricity on average? What is going on here? Whether the company stands by this claim or denies that their guy said it. . . I would never go with a company with such suspicious pricing and that makes such suspicious claims about energy usage. YMMV.

Then he spends 5 minutes blowing some air down a pipe, only to tell me the sink he blew water into is clogged (it wasn't before he showed up). And then he said the plumber I call can fix the clog. Then he charged me $315. He was at my house for 30 minutes. My A/C was still leaking when he left. He never bothered to ask if I was ok with the $219 charge for blowing air down a pipe. Seems like he "diagnosed" the issue when he told me I needed a plumber. Thankfully Ring doorbell caught all of it.
