Picture this: your bathroom gets flooded right before New Years and you have to get a team scheduled right away to perform water mitigation service. ServPro Campbell was sent in by my insurance company. After working with the team, I can confidently say that I would hire them out myself. The process started with a project manager coming out the next day to assess the damage. The company was able to get a team scheduled to come onsite right after New Years. They laid out builders paper and setup dust covers to make sure their work wouldn't spill over into our bedroom. Then they quickly took out all of the wet parts of the bathroom (within a day); and set up fans and dehumidifiers to make sure the place got dry. Everything was done efficiently. Special shoutout to the project manager Ron who was extremely communicative. He walked me through all of the steps of the process. Another shoutout to Steve who was onsite doing the work. The team accidentally cracked my medicine cabinets but owned up to the mistake which I extremely appreciated. Had issue in a bedroom ceiling that 3 roofers looked at but not one went into attic or did any kind of investigation to determine actual source of the problem. Two roofers provided bids ranging $7-$8500 to either replace section of roof or add ridge vent (claiming insufficient attic ventilation...) Only ServPro of Campbell came with proper tools and mindset to do a thorough job. Working together we found bathroom duct had disconnected from roof vent and a second location had a failed gasket. My hunny reattached duct (no cost) and got $21 fix at HomeDepot for failed gasket. Total ServPro cost to investigate, prepare and protect the work space, remove damage, repair, and paint was less than $3k. They fit me into their schedule despite my need for tight turnaround and very single person on my project showed up on time, was courteous & friendly, professional, knowledgable, willing to actually trouble shoot and collaborate with me. I can't say enough good things about these folks. We had a flooding situation early on a Saturday morning. Within a few hours, their team was out, cleaned up the water and started the drying process. On Monday, a second team came out and pulled drywall, etc. to continue the drying. They managed to remove our kitchen cabinets without damaging them - something my cabinet maker said was probably not possible. They were prompt, communicative, honest and got the job done. We came back from vacation on a Wednesday to find that a hose between the wall shutoff valve and the sink had sprung a leak in our downstairs toilet. The entire area was flooded with mold on the walls. On Thursday we had several different remediation people come over to give us bids and we chose Servpro of Campbell to do the demo. They were not the cheapest, but they would also bid on the reconstruction, and their quote was the most detailed showing all the possible costs. We felt the time they took with the quote was indicative of the care they would take with the work. They started work on Friday. Their demo team was great and lead by a very experienced remediation person (Steve.) They found that it was not as bad as they had forecasted. The demo came in under the estimate and was finished by the following Thursday. We also chose Serpro for reconstruction (and additional downstairs remodeling) as we did not want to deal with drywall, carpenters, painters, flooring, plumbers, etc., ourselves and they could start right away. They were not the cheapest bid, but again, the detail in the bid and discussions with the ServPro team gave me confidence that they would meet their scheduling commitments and there would be no last minute price increase surprises. Our reconstruction supervisor, (Tee), was very responsive and communicative. He told us how selective he was about his choice of subcontractors. His subcontractors lived up to their billing as the quality of all their work (drywall, texturing, painting, flooring, tiling, and plumbing) was superb. Tee also did a great job scheduling them and they were on site when promised. Tee really cared about our experience and even came over one afternoon to clean up a hidden mess by himself so it would be taken care of quickly. That commitment to our satisfaction is indicative of his excellent customer attentiveness. We got the high quality we paid for. Man these guys are legit, I don't even know where to start. Servpro has been excellent from the top down!! I called them because I had water leaking through my floors, but once Ronald came, he diagnosed and saw the problem was much much Worse... So after a thorough examination, we found water damage got through the cabinets the walls, the floors, everything. I of course, wanted to keep everything in house so I had them do the demolition as well as the reconstruction, and I have to say their communication and transparency was much much appreciated! Big shout out to Ron, Connie, and Will! They have an instrumental in the whole project that took about two months, and their communication and their willingness to work as soon as possible, as well as deliver full service has been unmatched. Appointment windows was 9-10AM. I called at 9AM and requested that they give me 1/2 hour notice before the technician would arrive because this is at my investment property and not my main home. The person on the phone assured that someone would give me a call as soon as possible. At 10:10, I still hadn't receive a phone call and now the appointment window had passed. I called back and asked what was going on and the person on the phone said that things were running late due to the rain. Meh. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. We went through our insurance and was recommended to use Servpro for demolition and reconstruction services. At first they were extremely responsive. The demo team did a great job and especially Ron was fantastic. Then came the worst! The RECONSTRUCTION part. Everything was demolished and the reconstruction team / manager Connie da Costa stopped responding, they did not give us any dates, 2-3weeks of phone calls, voicemails, messages and absolutely no response. We were stranded with a baby and elderly out of our home as our accommodation ended and have to move in to our house after the work. We had to find a last minute handyman to get the job done and had stay up nights to finish the job. Absolutely PATHETIC!!! read more

Had a sink backup water damage on first floor condo, three referrals all pointed to Ron at Servpro/Campbell, a definite 5-star experience :-) Ron and William came after my horrific experience with the first water restoration guy that HOA sent. He used scare tactics and I was so convinced there's going to be foundation issues and mold. After talking to Ron and seeing how professional he & William accessed the water damage in details, I decided to work with Servpro instead of the not-so-honest HOA water restoration company. It took 5 days to do demo, removing water damaged walls, floors, cabinets, sanitizing and dehumidifying the unit. I got the good news when Ron called and said there was no mold issues found. Called ServPro on Monday and the receptionist helped me schedule an appt next day. The next day, agent Ron arrived on time (called me 15 minutes before as a heads-up). Ron was very experienced and professional. He helped me confirm where the leakage come from: my garden irrigation system had been leaking for a while, and some of the water seemed to find its way to the crawl space. He went to the crawl space, carefully checked things out. He patiently explained to me the situation (thank god, nothing serious). An unknown leak from our shower faucet behind the wall eventually showed its ugly damage by water stains on our baseboard, wet carpet, and every homeowners scurge - mold. We got right down to it & solicited 4 quotes (I like to error on the side of too much information). As the days passed & the inspections for quoting finished, we narrowed our choice to those who responded to our questions and yes even those who presented us with detailed, professionally written quotes. We liked Jesse's technical knowledge and willingness to answer our questions along with Erin at the office. Our State Farm agent had recommended them but that wasn't as much of an influence since State Farm would not pay for the damage or mold remediation - it had to be a result of a 'catastophic pipe breakage' (slow leaks don't count) - read your small print. Having selected ServPro, we prepped the rooms (bdrm & bthrm) as per their instructions and, although they were late to arrive on Monday, they DID call ahead and informed us that their crews had a particularly busy weekend & Monday a.m. working emergency jobs. They were only a few hours beyond their original time and got to work quickly. I was impressed from the get-go as they donned shoe covers and introducted themselves while Jesse explained in detail what they were going to do & look for. It turned out that we were fortunate to have only a small amount of mold (less than 4 SF) but all the equipment , dehumidifier & air scrubber, still needed to run 24 hrs. They hung a containment barrier, cranked up their machines & were out in 2 hours. Note: a couple of bidders had said we'd have to vacate our home from 2 - 4 days while they donned their HAZMAT suits and worked feverishly to rid our home of the scurge of mold contamination. While ServPro didn't require that, they were very professionally safe during their work and we felt in no danger. As it turned out, we didn't have enough mold to warrant the evacuation AND, drum roll please, because their was so little moisture and/or mold in our two walls, the amount of demo & cleaning work was less than bid so they reduced their charge about 70%! Now that doesn't happen very often. They said that they had bid high because you don't know, besides their metering devices, what the extent of mold will be until they start tearing out the drywall. So, to avoid any $$ surprises, they bid high in hopes that it'll come down once they're into the job. I'm probably more apt to leave a positive review because I saved some money but that doesn't change the fact that this company does the job right for a very competive price - case closed. read more

We were referred to Servpro by our insurance company after our upstairs bathtub drain leaked into the ceiling. Ron came out promptly the next day; we were concerned he wouldn't be able to do anything based on conversation with the phone staff, because I couldn't find the report confirming we don't have asbestos, but he ran the moisture readings and confirmed the damage was localized. This was two days before we were supposed to leave for our honeymoon, so we were especially grateful that he helped us cut a hole in the ceiling to let the area dry out. We appreciated his honesty; he quoted us for a fan to dry it out, but told us we would probably be fine with a regular fan. Do not use these folks. Arin promised us top quality work and prompt service. 6 months later our cabinets are still not finished. One cabinet door was installed backwards. They refuse to come back and finish the job . That's what happens if you pay them. Once they get their money , they abandon their customers. We also suspect their employees steal We're missing a small antique and can't find it. They said they were insured but won't pay for the missing antique. I think they are unethical and engage in deceptive and dishonest business practices. Avoid Servpro of Campbell. There are many other more honest companies. read more

Just recently we had our water heater spring a leak and saturated the wall to our house. We called a water heater repair and installation company and the repairman said it looked pretty bad. He had one of his restoration companies come out to quote us for the repair. They quoted us $3000 for only the demolition and to dry out of the area. This did not even include the work to fix the area after demolition. So we decided to do the work on our own. I called our insurance agent Laura Peterson with State Farm to let her know, and ask her opinion. She said that based on our deductible we might be better off not filing a claim unless the damage was more than the deductible. She then said, before you do any work let me send out the restoration company we use ServPro to give you a second opinion. She said they were awesome to work with, and might be able to provide us some advice before we start the demo ourselves. Laura then called ServPro herself and told them they need to prioritize coming out to our house ASAP. Robert from ServPro came out on a Saturday with little notice, and was just in time before we started the repairs. He checked the inner walls to make sure there was no damage. He then waited while we cut into the wall. It turned out the damage wasn't bad at all, and was only on the wall to the garage. He instructed us on how to fix the problem ourselves, and made sure we felt comfortable before he left. All in all the process only took us a few hours to complete and less than $100 in material. With the help of Robert from ServPro we ended up saving a minimum of $2900 off the original quote from the first restoration company. I am unbelievably thankful that there are honest people out there like Robert who want to do the right thing for their customers, as opposed to charging them unnecessarily for services that are not required. I would go back to ServPro any time for future restoration needs, and they will be the first people I recommend if any of our friends or acquaintances need help. I woke up to a basement full of about 10" of standing water. After experiencing repeated re-schedules from another water extraction company, I finally gave up on them and called ServPro late on a Friday evening. Will, the project manager, answered my call promptly, took all my information down and had 2 men at my place within a couple hours that same night. They worked efficiently and promptly and my basement was pumped out and starting to dry out within hours. The follow up over the next few days was excellent - they were very communicative and courteous throughout the entire process, were very thorough about followup, and showed up promptly when they said they would.
