I trusted his judgment, as I had a previous experience about 8 years prior with a different company (recommended by my insurance company) that was horrific in every sense the word. Joel and his team (Eduardo, David and Javier) came to the property the morning after Edwin identified the leak and immediately created a game plan. They laid out the entire process start to finish, gave realistic timeframes, offered to speak with insurance adjusters, and were always checking in and within reach during the process. They tore down the walls and got the room prepped for mitigation immediately to get the room dried out. They were extra careful to make sure the rest of my house was clean while they did performed the job. They said they would show up every day to check on the fans, which they did. Christobal came next and helped explained the situation to the insurance company over the phone with me on the line. He showed up when the field adjuster came out to the property to explain the situation. He became my main point of contact. On top of all this, after they were finished the job, they had their Claims Consultant Morelia keep in touch with me during the payment portion with the insurance. She knew the process backwards and forwards and was extra helpful in managing the flow of documents to the insurance company. She provided me with every bit of information I needed to make sure insurance was properly charged. PLEASE READ REVIEW BEFORE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY!!…read more It started with a Water Leak on Labor Day Weekend, we contacted a 24/7 Plumber Immediately, AAA Paradise Plumbing & Rooter, who came and stopped the on going flow of water into our Dining Room. He then referred us to a Water Damage Mitigation Company whom he highly recommended-Restorerz Emergency Services. A Representative, Simon K, came to our Home to take pictures and asess Water Damage. He made many promises, stating that he works with Insurance Companies all the time, and that he will handle it so that we will not have to pay anything out of pocket except for our Deuctible. He stated that "he would be there every step of the way to asure everything is done correctly and that the Insurance Company will pay for everything". He promised that "he would work with us and the Insurance Company until completion, because he wouldn't get paid unless we got paid by the Insurance". It was a Desperate situation so we foolishly signed the Contract. We repeatedly expressed that "we do not have the money for this, we just moved in and are tight on Funds". To which Simon replied over and over again "TRUST ME, TRUST ME, YOU'LL PAY NOTHING OUT OF POCKET EXCEPT YOUR DEDUCTIBLE". Soon after the work was done, we received an email with the Invoice for $34, 229.93, Demanding Full Payment within 30 Days. We then received a Call from Restorerz Claims Manager, Evangelina, who proceeded to tell us that "she will work with us and the Insurance Company, to Negotiate and get the Invoice Paid". They submitted the Claim, the Insurance Company Denied it, calling it Excessive. The Insurance Comapny agreed to pay ONLY $8,871.77, leaving us to Pay the Balance nearly $20,000.00! After that, Restorerz said "they tried, nothing else we can do, we need to pay the balance in Full," leaving us only a week to get it paid. We requested more time to resolve this, which they denied. Warning us of the Collection Process, Filing Liens, etc. This left us no choice but to pay. We spoke with a Lawyer, who gave us a better insight into this Industry and Process. We were informed that "it was wrong for Restorerz to demand payment that way". He further stated that "there was no reason that they couldn't wait for payment". So when Restorerz says "Trust Me, Trust Me"- DO NOT!!!!!!! Update: They contacted us to make everything right (full reimbursement) to remove this negative review but once we refused to sign another contract with them we were dropped from all communication. I was also contacted by another customer from a "local app" who was experiencing the same issue, which I gave my best advice how to move forward from my own personal experience. Best of all, the total price ARG charged to tear out the affected areas, treat the mold, and fully restore my bedroom was the same amount another company quoted me just for mold treatment. We had Luke Hiller back to replace all of the rest of the floors in our 1942 home just before…read moreChristmas (2013). Our 20'x30' den had 1985 reddish brown short pile carpet that was in amazingly good condition for its age -- it was really OLD! Luke asked if we wanted the den to match the original floor in the rest of the house. I said YES! So he ordered part red oak, part yellow oak and part #1, which contains pieces with knots and dark streaks. The job took several days due to the demolition of the old carpet and repairs to the squeaky sub-floor and, of course the installation, sanding, filling, leveling and multiple coats of finish of the new wood. I was good and didn't peek beyond the plastic sheeting that was used to protect the rest of the home from the dust. I waited to look until the first coat of finish went down. I was thinking "I wonder how I am going to 'feel' about this new floor." Wood, for me, is a very evocative substance -- I just love wood. When I looked it didn't feel like a "new" floor. It had the same look and feel of the old 1942 floor. Luke's installer did a marvelous job of mixing and integrating the 3 types of oak together to make a floor that looks like it was installed at the same time as the rest of the floors. We also had the kitchen and bath floors replaced with a vinyl that looks exactly like stone. Everyone that walks on it and thinks it's stone, but it's a very high end vinyl. A good friend has this floor in her home in Virginia. She took a picture of the box for me. Luke worked very hard to find the product because the manufacturer and the license for this product had been sold twice since my friend purchased it! The installation of the kitchen floor matched perfectly with the old floor and the new floor. It is perfectly flat with no transitions between the rooms required! We had a couple of little missteps in the job (like any construction project) but Luke showed up personally and surveyed the problems and had his crew, or he, himself fixed it on the spot. Luke even crawled under the house to run my surround sound cabling and pushed it up into the boxes his installers had sunk into the floor. I couldn't be happier with Luke Hiller and highly recommend him for your next floor refinishing, replacement or new construction project.

I talked with Milan who told me that I should check with a mold company to make sure there's mold first before doing any construction work. The mold company came out and confirmed, there's definitely excess moisture. They gave me a quote to do mold remediation and I was thinking of using them instead but I was told that they wouldn't do the reconstruction/repair after the mold remediation. So I came back to Zimax. They provided me with a very similar quote to the other company for mold remediation. I liked that Zimax would be able to do both the mold remediation and the repair afterwards. I accepted Zimax's quote and Milan was able to schedule me in for mold remediation quickly. They came on a Tuesday. They removed the drywalls and found that there were multiple leaks from the windows. They set up everything in one day. They set up a paper walkway so that they wouldn't track any dirt into the house. Everything was done very professionally. Friday, they came back and removed their equipment. I was told that the next step is to do water testing to determine all the spots where there were leaks. They did some testing but then told me that more testing was needed. They were gonna come on Monday, but they were able to squeeze me in on Saturday instead. They found all the multiple leaks coming from two windows. I wanted them to start immediately, but there was a bit of delay with their scheduling. I guess with how good these guys are, they must be swamped. But Milan did his best to schedule me in asap. Friday, they came and patched the leaks. Then on Saturday, they came to water test to make sure there were no more leaks. Once they confirmed no leaks, they started the repair work that same day. Everything was pretty much completed on Saturday. Last step was painting. They painted on Monday and we were told that the paint just needed about two hours to dry and it would be good. Overall, a very pleasant and professional experience. This is the kind of company I want to work with for anything I might need. They provided accurate information and was courteous. Everyone showed up on time, ready to work. I was impressed with the end results and the work that they did.

Zimax opened up the closet wall and ceiling above my bathtub and performed mold remediation. After 3 days drying with heater blowers, the technicians promptly repaired the ceiling and wall. The technicians were polite and were careful to protect the bathtub surface and flooring. They completely restored the affected areas with no signs of damage. I'm thankful that the job was done quickly and that Zimax took care of the details with my neighbor's insurance.
