Great atmosphere! Inside and out. Coffee was worth the drive. There is a grass play area for kids in view of the large deck with outside seating. Inside had a cool old Victorian vibe definitely a cool spot tucked away in Historic Marietta.

My husband had heard nothing but good things about this little place so he drove me out to take a look. It was a very sunny and beautiful day so we decided to take a trip and get a coffee. Parking can be a hassle as the parking lot fills up quick. I got a matcha latte with coconut milk and vanilla. It took some time for my order to get out and once I got it was a beautiful green color. The portions of the matcha weren't the best for the size I got so it was very watered down. I was a bit disappointed so next time I think I'll get a smaller size. The overall ambiance and aesthetic of the place was super cute and family friendly. Next time, we will stay for a full brunch.

Been coming here for years and this adorable coffee shop has never disappointed me. They keep their drink menu fresh with seasonal drinks year round, they keep expanding the food menu so you can even have a full sit down meal at breakfast or lunch here, and the staff members are always so friendly and helpful. They are kid and dog friendly which is a perk too! They are always adding new fun things like flea markets, movies in the garden, game nights, crafting, and you can now order pizza from across the street and enjoy drinks in the evenings!

I was out here for an event and decided to try a drink and some food. The chicken salad sandwich was so good. I also tried a lavender tea. If I were out in this area again, I would definitely come back for something else. The employee at the window was so helpful and suggested my order to me. She had great suggestions because I enjoyed everything I purchased. The restaurant is at the end of the shopping plaza and has a huge grassy area next to it. The space is perfect for outdoor events and the outdoor seating area was perfect for a nice outing with family or friends.

I had an espresso and a macchiato with almond milk. Both were pretty good. The espresso was pretty good. They get their beans from Rev Coffee roasters which is one of my go-tos so I recognized the quality. It had a very slight burnt taste but not too bad. The almond milk for the macchiato helped to balance the espresso.

So where do I begin to tell the story of Sessions......located in a residential area behind Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. The weather was nice enough to choose outside seating. We asked for a printed menu, and that's when things became very irritating. We were told to use our phones to scan the QR code placed on our table #11. The print on the phone was very small, and it was hard to see what ingredients were in the diffetent items. At this point we were contemplating going somewhere else. But hey, we are not quitters. While playing with our phones we asked for help because we were very frustrated. Nice server came and guided us through the entire ordering process which took quite long time. But this young lady worked very hard to make us happy. Some popular items were sold out before 10:30 am. I understand that this can happen However, if some menu items are so popular, why was the kitchen not prepared for that. After ordering I asked to be sure that the nice server would get her tip. She informed me that all the servers share the tips. I know that some restaurants do that, but as an old restaurant manager, I do not like that. So at the end I insisted giving her a cash tip. She earned it. While waiting for our food we enjoyed watching families with their dogs and playing children on the huge backyard playground. So this restaurant offers a cozy family friendly atmosphere for their quests. But not necessarily a quiet one. Finally we got our meals. Mine was chicken salad croissant with some chips and greens with coffee. My friend ordered a latte with a salad. She was very happy with her latte and she liked her salad. My chicken salad was too thick to my taste and was missing some flavor. Our server was attentive and checked on us several times. So the customer service is good here and seems that the team works well together. Overall, this entire concept is great, nice surroundings, modern interior, inside and outside seating, and chance to order at the front entrance or at the table. There is also a room for a private party at the back of the restaurant. But I found only one unisex restroom with a babychanching table. Not a problem to me, but I think there should be more restrooms. This place was great, and I understand why it's popular but I will not return anytime soon. Next time I will choose an establishment where I don't have to scan QR codes and I will have a menu in my hand. I'm all for progress, but I want to enjoy my meals without this kind of hassle.

Very aesthetically pleasing. You can place an order at the outdoor window or from the QR code inside at the different seating locations. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and iced chai latte. Small parking lot on site. The food and beverage wasn't my favorite but a cute place to come work for the day.

I'm gonna be honest, this was probably the worst matcha I've ever gotten from a cafe. It wasn't sweet, had no flavor and was just so so bad overall. And idk why I got a large. It was very pricey too! Loved the ambiance and space. Might come back to try something else, but I would definitely skip the matcha next time.

Stumbled upon this place and was surprised I haven't heard of it before. Beautiful on the inside and fun on the outside, with plenty of seating and a playground for kids to play. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and tasted good as well

Today was not a good experience. We ordered a good bit because when you come parking is so hard. We ordered two lunch sandwiches (based on their IG post) and I feel we did not get what was advertised. The bread was toasted really hard and hardly any meat. When I asked for the bread not to be hard they wanted to charge me for a whole other sandwich. They won't even fix it had I had the option for it not to be this toasted I would have said no toasting. Then To try and say "it's always this toasted" as if I have never had a sandwich from here. I really miss the old window when it was smaller. It's just too much of a trip to keep coming back for this type of quality and treatment. I'm done.

Very confused about the hype. My $8 avocado toast was, not kidding, one slice of sandwich bread (think Nature's Own from the store) with a small smear of guacamole and 5 leaves of arugula. My box legit flew off the table with a gust of wind because that's how little food it was. My Red Hot latte had large chunks of cinnamon grounds floating in it, making it tough to drink. My toddler had fun at the play area so there's an extra star. read more

Coffee is good. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The patio is small but inviting. It's a wonderful place to sit and take some time out of your day to appreciate life and supporting small businesses. Will definitely be back for more pastries. Oh and they sell beautiful artisan flower bouquets. Love! read more

Updating to: 5 stars for cuteness 5 stars for pastries/bread 2.5 stars for coffee 1.5 stars for friendliness The place is adorable and a wonderful spot to take some friends anytime of year. The whole wheat croissant tastes better than a regular one to me. Unfortunately they haven't improved at their coffee program. Lattes are average at best. They really need to home-make about 3 or 4 different syrups, then hire someone who knows how to be a barista. Currently, it feels like an afterthought for them which is really a bummer and prevents me from coming here more often. Lastly, of all the employees I've come across, only one (a young guy) has been friendly. I'd love if the employees were as bubbly as the bakery itself, but they always seem a bit crabby, act annoyed when I ask a question, etc. Despite these short comings, one should still go there as it's a cute destination, but I had to knock off 2 stars for grumpy employees and mediocre coffee program...... read more

The perfect way to start your day! First off, the patio is darling and you'll likely glimpse a few cute pups walking by and some beautiful flowers. Drinks are perfection, and their pastries are amazing. The chocolate croissants and brownies are my favorite, but everything has been great. Consistently friendly staff is the icing on the cake. Decided to eat here today. Sadly only one order of the tomato soup,so hubby got that with a decadent cheese toast. I opted for the chicken salad which is outstanding. Got it on some of the best toasted sourdough I have ever had. Short walk from the dog park, so likely not o come back a few more days. read more

Let's begin with the fact that Rev Coffee in Smyrna is their roasted, which is one of my faves! Sessions Stand is exactly what it claims to be - a walk up coffee stand. The prices are on par with other local shops, and quite reasonable for such a quality product. They also offer a limited selection of fresh pastries, which differs daily. I believe they also have oatmeal. And you can purchase fresh floral arrangements! There are several tables on their pretty patio, and limited parking on one side of the building. My husband and I had our 4 year old with us, so we parked up the road at Lewis Park and walked down to get coffee, then back up to let him play at the park. For myself, I ordered a cappuccino. Before I even ordered it, I was happy to see that they only offered one size, as a traditional cappuccino should be! I was pleased with the amount of microfoam; however, I will probably order it dry on my next visit. They offer flavors for an extra 50¢ (which I did not do because I wanted to experience the flavor of the coffee). My beverage was excellent drinking temperature, and the extraction of the shot was perfection - not even a hint of bitterness. I will definitely be back. When it comes to local "third wave" (I actually hate that term) coffee, this place is going to give Cool Beans a run for their money! read more

Word has gotten out about this aesthetic café serving their tasty pastries and Rev coffees along with Instagram-worthy vibes. Sessions Stand was put on my radar by my writer crush, Lia Picard. I knew I had to go as soon as I finished reading her article in Atlanta Magazine. If I didn't go soon, it would be crawling with people, let's face it, Lea's a trendsetter. When my GPS declared my arrival, I didn't know where to park. I drove up & down the street looking for a parking spot, because the two spots to the side of the shop were taken. I eventually parked in a lot on Sessions Street flanked by a black fence & says "393 Sessions Street" on the sign. I parked here & didn't get towed, but that could change any day. Take your chances. Walking up to the building, I loved the art on the walls and the patio furniture. I got a flat white and a whole wheat croissant. Both were delicious & made me forget about the 90 degree heat. They also sell lovely bouquets of flowers and a variety of cold drinks. While I was here, a few neighbors passed through with their pet dogs. I think it's great the community supports this local business. The barista seemed to know each person & dog by name- he was really cool! The only downers are no restroom (hopefully there's one for employees though), the scant parking and no indoor space. I also experienced a weak wifi signal, but it was no big deal. Sessions Stand would also be a key place to visit before or after a trip to Lewis Park, which is down the street from this local business. I would definitely come back here if I was looking for a cool patio to hang out on, chat with friends and spend a lovely afternoon. read more

I am in love with the teeny coffee shop. Their cookies are to die for and I enjoy their lattés made with Rev Coffee maybe a little too often! The parking can be a little difficult seeing that there is only 2, maybe 3 spots available (depending on how people park). I have parked on the street many a time to run up and grab a latté. We live locally and are lucky enough to be able to walk to this adorable coffee stand. I appreciate the outdoor only set up- it makes it really easy for us to take our dog and order without one of having to wait outside. The coffee and pastries are good. We've been 3 times now and there's a few things that I think could improve. They don't offer water other than bottled water. We 1. Don't want to pay water bottle prices and 2. Hate using plastic bottles when a small cup of tap water is totally fine with us. The trash cans all have lids. This bothers me because it's inconvenient (you have to find a place to set everything down so you can take the lid off with one hand and throw things away with the other) and also I think it's kinda gross. No bathrooms to wash hands. Also the last two times I've had an issue with my coffee lid leaking. They are fairly new though and I'm sure will only get better and better as they work out the kinks. Glad to have this place in our neighborhood! read more

Yummy! I had a flat white and a fig pastry. The pastry was mind blowing. This is a small shop located in the middle of a neighborhood. Parking is limited. I also suck at parking so I parked at the park a few feet away and walked up. No biggy. read more

This is the best place for coffee and cinnamon rolls. The coffee is fresh and made to order. The honey lavender latte is simply delicious. The happiest place on earth...or at least, in Marietta. I adore this place. The outdoor only seating is just fine with me; the atmosphere they have created in their cozy little corner is perfect. As the weather gets cool, they even provide blankets. The coffee they serve is from a local roaster (I love keeping it local if it's good) and it IS good! The stars of their existence are the pastries. The croissants, fluffy cinnamon rolls and danishes are the best around! I would even dare to say, they could rival some of the best bakeries in France. Yes, they are that good. If you are in the hood, check them out, just leave a seat open for me. read more

Great location on a cute street in Marietta, in a residential neighborhood near the hospital center. Nice little patio (no indoor sitting so plan accordingly). I generally order a flat white and it is excellent. The staff is really friendly too. Morning crowd includes healthcare employees and young families, many regulars it seems. They bake their own bakeries/bread but I haven't tried any food yet. Will try to visit more regularly when I get a chance. read more

Great coffee and such a cute little patio! I'd recommend the latte- I had mine iced with a pump of caramel. The shop is nestled in the middle of a neighborhood area close to a park, so it makes a nice little walk if you're interested in being outside for a bit! The only thing I'd wished was different is the wait. Definitely worth the wait, but it was understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. read more

Came here for the first time on the way to my dermatologist yesterday because I was really craving avocado toast and this so happened to be 2 minutes away. Well, I'm back the next day because the avocado toast was seriously one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Sure, I may be a few minutes late to work but it's worth it!! Today I got the danish and a maple cinnamon latte (a seasonal coffee) and wish I could order 2 more. This is being incorporated into my morning routine now!! read more

Everyone raves about how cute this place is and that is accurate. I don't drink coffee so no comment there. If you want a tasty sandwich for a reasonable price this not the place, atmosphere cannot make up for lousy food. I got the turkey sandwich (they were out of their breakfast sandwiches) which was just a pile of turkey between two slices of bread and two slabs of cheese, 10 bucks 0 taste. If you can't do it well don't do it. If you just want coffee a pastry and some outside seating, this is a nice place. read more

I love the simplicity of sessions stand. When you walk up it looks like a coffee shop that should be at the beach, but it's tucked perfectly in a neighborhood behind Marietta square. Their coffee is from rev roasters and it's good. I had a chocolate croissant and a lemon poppy seed cake both of which were amazing. If you are looking so a sweet place to have coffee and chat with friends then session stand is perfect for you. read more

Phenomenal baked goods, very good coffee, and a great staff. A very nice atmosphere on the deck. Everything is served to-go as there is limited seating and most people take their coffee to walk. All in all an excellent place. read more

Stopped in for coffee and a snack. Everything was very good. The cappuccino and espresso was very good. Had a cranberry muffin - fresh and tasty. The croissant was a little over cooked (too browned) but still tasted good. Friendly service and very clean. read more

I have been to this place twice now and I will never go back. I ordered my muffin heated and asked for some butter. I was told that they don't have butter. I found this strange being a bakery and all. After questioning this I was told that while they have butter I couldn't have any. read more

I've never been more impressed with breakfast! The honey lavender tea is truly heavenly, and the strawberry pecan pastry was to die for. The ambiance is darling, and the staff was so friendly and efficient. It's dripping with charm, and is absolute perfection. Can't recommend this place enough!!! read more

Cutest, dream like coffee stand. I still remember how breathtaken I was the very first time I visited the Sessions stand. It is the kind of coffee shop I'd imagine seeing in a movie. Outdoor seating, simple but good bakery items and drinks. Such a beautiful spot to relax in and I always have to show it to my friends! They don't, but he offered me the alternative to what I had described, a torta. If you're as "American apple pie" as I am, looking around the shop, its easy to confuse a "torta" with a "tarte" or pastry. The "torta" here is a pressed sandwich, filled with meat that he called 'turkey ham' (he assured me that it was not pork), onions, tomato, cheese, avocado and jalapeños if you can handle 'em. While I waited for the young lady to make my torta, the gentleman offered me a choice of complimentary baked treat to try. Who here doesn't love a free sample!? Ok! He rattled off some of the names, but had me at cheesecake! I took them both to-go, mainly because, although there was a cooler full of cold drinks and soda, I couldn't find a hint/whiff of coffee in the place. I would've asked but I'd reach my personal 'question quota' with the sandwich. DELICIOUS, by the way! I like that the press left the bread crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and all the sandwich fixins were still crispy & cool-not soggy or melty. The cheesecake looks kinda like a lemon square, has a cookie-cake texture bottom crust and a 'cheese danish' type filling that's nicely browned on the top. The serving is big enough to split for now & later-which I had every intention of doing. But, I mean, who was I kidding?! It was YUMMY. This place is fairly new, so I hope it'll add hot drinks (if it doesn't already have them...) and a to-go menu with descriptions, so I can decide what I want to try, ahead of my next visit.

Jordan recommended Lush Cakery to my fiancee and me (our planner does not accept kickbacks, but instead passes on any discounts she may get on to us) and that is enough praise for me. My fiancee, through her own research, noticed that Lush Cakery has had a hand in a lot of nice weddings in Atlanta. She absolutely loves the look of Lush's cakes (she describes them as beautiful, fun, and creative). I asked Kat how many weddings she did last year and she told me, if I recall correctly, 185 (all by herself!). She doesn't plan on doing that many per year going forward, but she definitely has the experience and is well known in the Atlanta wedding community. Kat moved into a cute space just off Marietta Square a couple years ago. There's a retail space, open four days a week, and a tasting room, available by appointment only. The shop can also be booked for small events like bridal and baby showers. Kat was waiting for us promptly at our appointment time. My fiancee and I were accompanied by our planner for the tasting. The tasting room was quaint and charming. It reminded my fiancee of an attractive sitting room, like something you would see on HGTV. We got to know Kat and she got to know us. She let us swipe through cake designs on her iPad while talking to us about our wedding, our tastes/visions for our cake, and how our cake would align with our wedding overall. For example, we talked about the season of our wedding, whether it's going to be indoor or outdoor, etc. These kinds of things can affect the ingredients and flavors of our wedding cake. There was a menu at the table with Lush's most popular wedding cake flavors. We tasted the following six flavors: * Salted caramel * Amaretto white chocolate red raspberry * Triple chocolate hazelnut * Grand Marnier strawberries and cream * Cinnamon * Cream cheese pound with lemon curd Kat had the first five flavors in the list above ready to go on a plate for each of us. The last one was requested by my fiancee who was interested in trying the lemon curd after seeing it on the menu. My eyes lit up as I bit into these cakes. What impressed me most about them was actually not their flavor, but their consistency. Every single slice was perfectly fluffy and moist. They were tender and delicate with good crumb. Flavor-wise, they were sweet, but not too sweet. My favorite flavors were the salted caramel and the strawberries and cream. My fiancee's favorite flavors were the amaretto white chocolate red raspberry and the triple chocolate hazelnut. My fiancee thought both the strawberry and cinnamon tasted delicious, but were a little too simple for her tastes. The cream cheese pound cake with lemon curd was outstanding, but we agreed that we liked the lighter, less dense textures of the other cakes for our wedding cake. Everything we tried tasted great, so what it really came down to here was personal preference. We want a classic, elegant looking cake so Kat suggested a traditional three-tier round cake. We'll have it decorated with flowers from our florist, Julie Coffin of Unique Floral Expressions, who is one of the rock stars of the Atlanta wedding industry and whom Kat has worked many weddings with. We chose our cake and icing flavors, along with a fun design extra, and were quoted under $700 for our cake (tax and delivery included). The cake will serve 100. We'll have more than 100 guests, but there will be other dessert options too. Kat's quote is about $200 higher than another quote we recently received, so Lush is on the higher side. However, the other quote did not include an extra design element and the Lush quote also includes a "complimentary" anniversary tier a year after our wedding. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a date. We received Kat's proposal via email quickly after our meeting. My fiancee had a question and it didn't take long for Kat to respond. All in all, this was a wonderful experience. Now we just have to make a decision! Throughout our wedding planning process so far, this has turned out to be the most difficult decision yet.

No explanation, no apology beyond the bare minimum, just a suggestion that I choose from whatever pre-made cakes happened to be available. None of those cakes matched what I ordered, but since I needed a birthday cake that night, I settled for one that I was told had pineapple and strawberry filling. To make matters worse, when we cut into the cake, it wasn't even the filling I was told it had. Instead, it was mango and coconut. So let's recap: the cake I ordered was never made, the replacement wasn't what I wanted, and the replacement wasn't even what I was told it would be. At no point did anyone seem concerned that they had completely failed to deliver the order I placed days in advance. This was my grandmother's birthday cake. Not only was the entire experience frustrating and embarrassing, but it showed a complete lack of attention to detail and customer service. I understand mistakes happen, but forgetting the order, offering the wrong replacement, and then giving me a cake with entirely different flavors is unacceptable. I will not be ordering from here again.

The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!
