My story... Im a newbie in Nevada i have a hair lady back in CA for 7yrs. I have been on a search for my go to place went to different places it was an ok place not happy. I have to start off by saying that I have a lot of hair. Super thick and super long (my yelp pic was years ago). I've been going to Seth for my last few haircuts and I'm very pleased with his work. Like most people I am picky about who cuts my hair. My hair is very fine, thin, and SLOW growing. A bad hair day can last 6 months for me! Seth takes time to talk to you about your concerns with your hair and what type of style you want. I said I wanted something striking that has a European feel. My current style is like a Vidal Sassoon cut, a very precise short 'bob' with bangs. When I style it - a quick blow dry and light bit of straightening (10 minutes max) I look like I just stepped out of the salon with no hair out of place. He said he wanted to cut the style into my hair instead of making me try to style it every morning. I don't have to fight with my hair. Pros: 1. Seth is passionate about his work and always does his best. 2. He continues to learn new techniques by going to classes. 3. He likes to educate others about styling. 4. Seth is incredible! I love him. He has been cutting my hair for the last year or so even though I do not currently live in Las Vegas. I visit often (roughly 3-4x a year), as my family lives there, so every time I come into town, I pay a visit to Seth. A few years ago, my friend gave me a Groupon she purchases for a hair cut/ color (I know, horrible idea, in retrospective). The stylist gave me me one of the worse hair cut I have ever had. I can't even begin describe what she did. It was just terrible. I came into Seth hoping he will fix it all. I told him I wanted to chop off my entire hair to fix it and he said No. He was completley truthful and told me the exactly what I did not want to hear. He told me it will take time to grow some of the layers. He said it will do his best to blend in my layers so everything will grow out well. And that is exactly what happened. He evened out the layers and made everything look a lot better. Flash forward half a year, my hair looks amazing!! One thing about Seth that I love? He takes his time with his clients.. all the time. He is very particular in the way he cuts and he always pays attention to minor details. He will spent a lot of time telling you about your hair and how to style it. I had just moved to Vegas a couple weeks ago and I desperately needed a hair cut and didnt know who to trust with my hair. I am pretty picky because I am sadly really attached to my hair lol. At this point it was getting all scraggly and thin so I looked around at my co-workers and l loved my friend Janelle's hair. I immediately made an apt with Seth because I loved Janelles hair and she also showed me some of his work on his instagram. He seemed to cut a lot of asian hair so I was sold. When I walked it was a little awkward as it is sometimes when you meet someone new and you are about to trust them cutting off 6-7 inches of your hair. The receptionist brought me back and there was a great selection of coffee and tea to enjoy during your cut. This was great since I came straight from an 8h work day. At first Seth was a little shy but as soon as we started talking after I explained what I wanted I kinda just let him do his own thing! For a 50$ haircut you get a mini scalp massage and wash/shampoo. I don't remember him putting conditioner but I could be wrong. When I told him I was having scalp problems he immediately offered solutions and even recommended products. I was super surprised by what a great conversationalist he was. He and I talked as he cut my hair for 1.5hours! I was amazed I spent that much time there! I had a great time and to find someone who so much passion for his brand and what he does is rare. Ive never met a hair stylist who was this proud of his work and was even willing to take it a step further when I told him I like Thai food and he offered me the hookup to one of the best Thai places in town. He even took it a step further when I told him 2-3days later that I was unhappy with my cut and he worked closely with me to make sure I was satisfied. I have to say though by looking at all of his pictures I was expecting a blowout/hair curl which I didnt get :( but Im not sure if that is part of his package and it was a later part of friday night. But I was expecting that as all of his pictures online and on his Instagram showed beautiful hair after seeing him. Seth cut my hair for the first time last week. He was awesome! He listened to what I liked and didn't like about my hair, and we discussed what could be changed about my current cut to get what I wanted. He cut it, made some adjustments in the layers and the shape, and I am so happy with it. It's the best cut I've had in a very long time. You know how after you first get your hair cut, you often have to wait a few weeks until it lays right and doesn't have that "I just got my hair cut" look -- well, this cut doesn't feel that way at all. And he cut quite a bit off (particularly in the layers). They look perfectly lived in, and my hair air dries perfectly with no effort on my part. I went to Seth based on the reviews I found on yelp. Unfortunately my experience has not meet the expectations implied. My layers are not blended well, they look chunky and my hair falls into my face. My under curve became an "up curve" . Since this was my first visit I thought maybe some tweaking would take care of it. However, when I contacted Seth his reply was defensive, and insulting to me and my previous stylist of 8 years.
