I thought a lot before posting this review and was prone not to, but since the salon decided to post me on their social media and are taking pride in the work that was done on me, even though they know I'm not happy I decided to review my honest opinion. I came in for the first time to this place for a full balayage and a hair cut , paid 390$ , sat for 6.5 hours , just to be unable to even wear my hair natural in public. I'm not going to say the stylists name because this is not personal , however hear are the problems : 1. I showed him 2 reference pics , i asked for a layered cut that's longer than the pic, with A LOT of thinning - received a short puffy hair cut with no layers, ZERO THINNING WAS DONE and so short and thick I can't even wear it in a pony or down without a constant blowout . Not to mention it looks nothing like the pic 2. There's a patch of bleach in the middle of my hair thick and visible for everyone to see , from the root down, simply embarrassing 3. The placement of the bleaching was manly made at spots don't really cover and refresh my old balayage that I had so when looking at the hair , u can see a ton of work done anywhere but over the old work that needed tuch up. Also the toner hasn't really stuck to all the bleaching but since I'm not a hair stylist I'll leave that as debatable. Valerie who presented herself as the salon manager has offered me a re toning And a bolder money piece to try and match one of the pics that I showed , However the real problems are not fixable by that solution that she offers , also since she tried to make me sound like I was the problem by saying " you told your stylist you didn't like the stylist you had before as well " which to I replied by yes , because she didn't cut enough which is also what her manager told her , However it's irrelevant because it didn't happened at atelier and she should have said something else . Super disappointed, I showed my stylist a picture of what I wanted and I get that it won't look exactly alike but it looks nothing like what I wanted. The hair doesn't look bad, it just wasn't what I wanted. Stylist didn't even tell me what I should do to take care of and maintain the hair, had to do my own research and still ended up with brassy hair. The stylist did reach out to remedy the situation and offered to fix it to get it closer to what I wanted. I appreciate that the salon and stylist reached out to me, quick response time. read more

Just got one of the best haircuts I've ever had from Danielle at Atelier Salon. My hair was boring, lifeless, and on the stingy side because all summer I've been too busy for a haircut. Called in here today just by searching near by places and literally I feel like I hit the jackpot for good haircuts! This salon is beautiful inside and great ventilation, huge plus in my opinion! Danielle washed my hair and I felt like I would fall asleep because the scalp massage was so relaxing! But my hair is really fine and somehow she gave me a haircut with a lot of shape to it. She was very confident and took the time to ask me what I wanted. She was present to visit with and I just thoroughly enjoy coming here today. 5 outta 5 for me. Not only is Ashlee a true professional, she is kind, and brings the best energy to every appointment. She is empathetic, an active listener, and can balance conversation with productive silence. James Choy is my personal stylist of choice over many years and I would recommend him to anyone for cut or color. Parking can often be a challenge, because this salon is solidly busy all the time. I gave myself a few days to decide whether or not to leave this review. I But I feel it had to be done. A friend of mine referred me here. I booked an appointment with Shane. The night before my appointment I texted him to let him know I may be 10 minutes late. I get a text back saying " omg I thought I told you I'm sick I need more rest and need to move you to the following week" he did " NOT" tell me. And I arranged a babysitter. I told him it's ok feel better. Days go by ... I sent numerous messages explaining that I need my hair done before an event , and by thanksgiving,and to please let me know what's going on. So... he sends me his schedule. I saw a Monday open and asked to have the same time I had the week prior. More days go by, and at this point I'm irritated having to reach out to someone who should be more professional and empathetic towards a new potential client who you just keep ignoring. So days go by and I finally get an answer as to whether or not Monday at 10 is ok ... I get " yes Monday at 1". At that point I feel this guy doesn't deserve my money and I couldn't see myself dealing with someone so unprofessional that he has a hard time managing his own appointments. I told him to cancel it. . . You'd think it would click in his snooty head that "hey, I need to send her back her deposit "..., but ... of course I had to message this guy AGAIN to ask for it, 9am I ask for it. I get a response mid day asking my name and number . I send him that . The NEXT day ... nothing, I have to message this guy AGAIN . Are you kidding me ? I have to beg for my deposit now ?! As promot as you expect people to send you your deposit, you should send it BACK with the same effort and courtesy someone gave you , After asking 3 times for it... I get a response from this crap of a person telling me " Can you PLEASE be patient I'm trying to get it to work. Christ. Give me til tonight" ITS zelle . Not rocket science. And It obviously works if you got my money! YOUR EGO IS TOO BIG HONEY ... YOU ARE REPLACEABLE. I own and work at my barbershop.... And I would NEVER TREAT ANYONE THE WAY THIS ARROGANT BOY TREATED ME. I'm busy all day and I make my own appointments also... never would I be so sloppy with my business. Every client I have I treat with courtesy, they pay my bills. They give me a job . They all deserve respect. His profile should have said it all ... he only photographs girls that are all done up with makeup . Not one of a normal looking person . Shane transformed my hair and kept it healthy even with how much bleach was used. I have been going to this salon for a couple of years now and have never had a bad experience. The staff is consistently awesome and the atmosphere is fun. The music selection is always surprising- you never know what's going to pop up next, but it's a fun little game to play while you are sitting there. Gela has been my stylist for almost 10 years now. I found Shane through mutuals on Instagram and referred my friend to get her hair fixed by him. (She had uneven highlights from someone else.) He did such an amazing job with the correction. I've also had my hair done with him. He highlighted, cut, and styled my hair to perfection. I love the subtle dimension he added to my dark brunette hair and the very flattering face framing bangs. I feel like my face is brighter?! I haven't felt this confident in a while, all thanks to Shane! I live in the SF Bay Area and now plan on flying in just for his services. 10/10 read more

I see Shane and he is the The best!!! I went to him with extremely grown out roots. He did exactly what i wanted (which is platinum white blonde hair) the first time. He not only nailed what i wanted, he accomplished doing it without ruining my hair. He gave me oil to keep my hair healthy and recommended a leave in to also use and he actually complimented how healthy i was able to keep my hair. I've had my hair fried before so I'm a little traumatized but I've gone to him twice now and he knows how to do blonde without frying your hair. He is a delight to talk to as well. He does more than blonde of course, but blonde can be hard to be good at and he's managed to do so!!! I've also recommended him to my friends and they are all pleased with him (non blondes) . I'm only rating Atelier 5 stars because Yelp doesn't allow 10 stars! I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut (yeah, and some color too). As a guy, finding someone who can do color well and works with men, can be a bit challenging. Someone I know highly recommended I try Shelby Stalker at Atelier. Wow! Am I glad I did! Shelby is professional, friendly, on time and, most importantly, extremely skilled at what she does. I've only been going to her for a few months, but I am already certain I will be going to see her for years to come. It's not easy finding exceptional customer service combined with friendly people who know what they are doing, but that's what I've found with Shelby Stalker. For any guys looking for a great cut (and color if that's your thing), look no further. The salon is clean, the pricing reflects the value of the experience (it's not cheap, but it's not ridiculously expensive either), and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The salon was really pretty and clean. The downside of it is that I had a full highlight appointment with ash shallenberger .BUT I notice she was really serious and stuck up with me .. DONT KNOW IF SHE WAS TIRED OR GOING THRU SOME personal problems but hey don't bring your problems to work .. I think what is always important is personality and attitude .. and I got bad vibes .. and my hair was uneven some highlights where chunkiers and some where súper thin ... I will not go with her again felt like she was in a bad mood or something .. was not impress and plus My hair came out SUPER DRY and a lil damage ..
