DISRESPECTFUL AND CONDESCENDING MANAGEMENT. Yes, the food is good. However, the lack of respect shown by management (including the owner) towards customers is atrocious. Never have I been treated with such flippancy and disdain when simply trying to correct an error made on their end when using a gift card. It took four weeks to resolve the issue after making repeated calls and sending emails/text messages. When I finally got to speak by phone with the owner, he was condescending and dismissive, even after admitting the error was on him. Came here today for the first time with my sister, neither one of us were disappointed. We ordered bruschetta, ravioli in a basil cream sauce and a margherita pie. The bruschetta was fresh and delicious; My one criticism is that I wish they put the balsamic on top of the bruschetta as opposed to the minuscule drizzle on the plate because it was so good we couldn't get enough of it. The raviolis were good but the basil cream sauce made the dish - I will get that sauce on pasta next time. My husband and I were disappointed for our first time dining at Sette Luna. We were given an hour wait time and ended up waiting 2 hours for our table. The host was not apologetic or seemed to care. Food does not come with any salad and the portions are small for the price. We asked our waitress if we get bread and she asked if we would like some and of course we said yes. The bread was dry and only one piece had garlic on it. When we received our bill, we found that we were charged for the bread! Don't get me wrong-our food tasted great but for the experience and small portions for over priced pasta...we will not be returning. read more

Food is good don't get me wrong but that's about as far as it goes. If i could just order take out or delivery and not have to deal with anyone at the restaurant I would. Service sucks and the owner did not seem to care. I have heard some really horrific things that the owner does to his staff even as far as firing servers because they wouldn't "appease" him if you know what i'm getting at. We started with calamari, anti pasta plate and a special that night, risotto balls. All were great, but the risotto balls were absolutely incredible. It seems like this place has a lot of ups and downs based on the reviews, so maybe you just have to get lucky and go on a good night, but that's ridiculous! Both times I went the owner was present, which I found surprising because I would have thought the staff would have been on their A game. Last night we ordered a white pizza and it came out with barely any cheese and way over cooked- pretty much toast with hard cheese on top. It's really not that hard to make, so someone just didn't care or wasn't paying attention. I found the wine prices to be a bit ridiculous as well. All of the red wine was $15-18 a glass. The caliber of this restaurant doesn't demand the by any means. You cant serve mediocre food with that level of wine lol. The precious time we got pasta and a steak dish. I will say- I personally wouldn't order steak at an Italian restaurant, but if they have it on the menu it should be good and it was blah. So was the pasta, which was very disappointing!! My family and I tried this place out for my birthday lunch, and I was really impressed. I am never tempted to go out for Italian food - there are way too many mediocre places in North Jersey so I've been burnt too many times. But Sette Luna is a whole other ball game. We started with the risotto ball special appetizer. I could have eaten those for my entire meal. Then I ordered the wild boar ravioli. Delicious. Their pasta is fancy but not overpriced. You don't get as large a serving as you would, say, at Olive Garden, but it tastes 1000 times better. The rest of my family ordered pasta as well and all was equally tasty. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was my cocktail, but honestly the food was so great I didn't care.
