As always, they are clean, timely, friendly, and always follow strict COVID precautions. Angelica is an absolute doll! SEV is clean and the laser treatment was good and effective (and not painful - really!) The reason for the 2 stars is how difficult it is to make an appointment or to make any adjustments to an existing appointment. I understand it's busy and things fill up, but omg, you can neverrrrr get an appointment here! It forces you to book something super far in advance when it's hard to know for sure if you can make it. I called to ask if I could move an existing appointment to earlier in the day (the appointment takes less than 5 mins) and they said absolutely nothing was free. The advice was to continue to call and maybe, just maybe, I'll call at the exact moment someone else is also calling to cancel an appointment and then I can get that one. ?????? Have had all such friendly, kind, and engaging employees perform laser hair removal on me all 6 times I've been to SEV. I started going to SEV using the Groupon for 6 small area and big area package. When I first starting booking it was extremely hard to get any appointment even 2-3 full months out from when I was there in person. That had gotten a bit better, but still definitely avoid trying to cancel last minute or book during busy hours because it will be nearly impossible to book. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this spa. I had 2 treatments of Brazilian underarms and legs laser, with no improvements. She spent 5minutes for both areas and didn't use enough power, so it was a waste of $400. She didn't even use aloe vera gel at the end of treatment. I will never be back! read more

I had high hopes when I decided to try laser hair removal with Sev Laser, but unfortunately, the results have been disappointing. After spending a significant amount of money, I have seen little to no reduction in hair growth. I wish I had seen better results considering the money spent and time. I had over 17 sessions when they said that the average person takes 10-12 to see results, the staff seemed to not know if my follicles were closing or not. Considering that you have a different staff member for every visit. They should have known the progress and give recommendations but they seems to not care or mind. It wasn't until my last few appointments that they put me with the same member but I was already tired of seeing the same results and spending money. This place its a NO for me. I'm revising my review because management was nice enough to give me another chance to see their service in action. Reception was super accommodating since I came a few minutes late during Labor Day weekend. I was having a bad day before, but the stress nearly melted away when I walked into the treatment room. The technician, as always, had a calm and reassuring demeanor. She even payed special attention to making sure that every surface of skin that I wanted was covered. I really appreciated the 1) Service speed; 2) Supportive chit-chat 3) Welcoming atmosphere. The last thing I need when I walk into an office to get a beauty treatment done is judgement! Quick update: I had originally spoke on their appointment availability being so far out in advance and how inconvenient it is but now GROUPON BUYERS BEWARE ALSO BREASTFEEDING MOMS! They will tell you that they can see if you you have medical clearance to then tell you they can't do it even with medical clearance. I had purchased Groupon on 2/28 called same day to book appointment to let them know I'm breastfeeding. I spoke to three different people who told me to get medical clearance and email it to them which I did same day! I paid $150 just to see doctor for medical clearance and ended up booking appointment 4/23. And today, 4/15 is when they send me this email "Hi, Thank you for the email. I wanted to speak to you about your about on the 23rd. On your forms, you have checked off that you are currently breastfeeding. Please update us if you still doing so. I know you have spoken to someone before and you informed them that you have a clearance form your doctor stating it is okay for you to receive laser treatments, unfortunately as per our office policy, we do not treat clients while they are breastfeeding even with a doctors clearance. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can better accommodate you!" I THEN CALL TODAY TO SPEAK IN REFERENCE TO THIS EMAIL AND THE FRONT DESK HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND TOLD ME I WOULD GET A CALL BACK AND GUESS WHAT I DID NOT. Nice little space inside of a building so it's kinda hard to find but the nice security guard guided me the right way. I arrived early to my appointment and was attended quickly. Gabby was amazingggggg! Talked me through everything and I was so surprised it didn't even hurt. All I felt was a little hot from the laser but even that wasn't painful. It felt like "yeah somethings going on there" but definitely not painful! I'm so happy that Sev laser has come to NYC. I've been following their page for a while now on instagram. Their aestheticians are all super nice. They get the job done even if it's uncomfortable for the patient. Meaning if you're sitting there with your legs up in the air they don't make you feel awkward or uncomfortable. This is my second time having a service done and all I can say is they rock. Place is small but comfy and clean. That's what's important. However, They do need to get some shades for the exam room. They tried to cover the window the best they could I know they just moved in. But I'm sure they will. Black shades will look amazing with their black and white theme. I would definitely recommend this place. The rates are reasonable and The process is virtually pain free and my results have been great. I made an appointment, paid for a package and came back for my appointment and had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. I was so thrilled to finally find a affordable and clean facility for laser hair removal. The office is clean, staff is really nice and efficient. I started to notice a difference after 3 sessions, I was soo happy. I completed all 6 in the recommended timeframe. Great. Few months after hair started to grow back, so I went back for a touch up. I am pale with very dark hair; great candidate for LHR. I did a total of 9 sessions and all treated areas grew hair all over again within months. I was so worried that I even went to a doctor to make sure my hormone levels weren't the cause of repeated hair growth. My blood work came back perfectly normal. I was a bit nervous as I have had my armpits lasered with another company and it was very uncomfortable however I was reassured by Angelica that it would be fast and painless. Best laser experience I've ever had. I used to go a dermatologist for my laser and it was overpriced and didn't work well. I came to SEV for the first time today and had an amazing experience. The receptionists are extremely professional and welcoming, and Angelica (the laser technician) made me feel so comfortable. I got my underarms and Brazilian done, it seriously did not hurt at all. This is a scam. They make your sign forms everytime you come back so they won't get blamed for anything because the sessions won't work afterall. Reread the first senetence if you want a honest review. I've done at least 10 sessions and i feel like thousands of dollars were put to waste. !!!!Most positive reviews you all see are great are the ones who are not done with all their sessions yet and have not seen their results after finished all sessions!!!!! Save your money and go somewhere else. They don't take responsibility AT ALL. They can't do anything about your problems since they have non-licensed and unprofessional services. Everytime you come here, it may be a different person doing your treatments and it is not persistent. This is important because your results don't come out good. Sometimes my treatment will hurt like hell and sometimes it would be painless. You will end up doing more and more sessions. I'm pale with thick black hair and after going thru many treatments, once I stopped, 80% hair grew back. Ladies, I really hope none of you go through this full of crap like me. It feels like a scam, at first everything feels great wow and the people seems nice. The experiences are not bad but the end results just sums up everything. It is also difficult to make an appts. and those if you don't know already, yes they will automatically charge you if you are late and or cancel appt within 24 hours. Not only that, prices rise all of a sudden, my treatments went from $220 a month to $350. You never know what they will do to take your money :). The front desk don't really know anything about laser hair, if you ask them anything, you'll hear different answers. Same goes to technicians. Go somewhere that will be more accomodating and helpful rather than sucking all your money up. You may need more than 10 and many touch ups. So i don't know if this place is your best bet but... Remember that this is a business afterall for them.
