I saw multiple reviews saying that this place cancels last minute claiming their nurse had an emergency. I thought I would give him a try and still booked it. Guess what? Less than 24 hours before the appointment they canceled on me with the exact same exact excuse. Really uncool that they charge you 50% if you cancel in less than 48 hours, but then they can cancel with you less than 24 hours with no compensation to make up for it. Wasting peoples time. They have like 1-2 people that do well. They will sell you 1700$ package and can't get a refund if unsatisfied. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. After going to Sev for a few years I will never be returning. I had a 3pm appointment for my bikini, they texted me before my appointment saying they were on lunch 2-3pm and doors open right at 3 - at 3:01 I get a text asking for my ETA to which I replied I was parking and no one replied back. Keep in mind this is MELROSE place where it's never easy to find a spot. By the time I found a spot and got upstairs it was 3:08, the woman working at reception rudely looks at me and said "oh you just missed your appointment" - sorry what? It's 3:08...."well your appointment is only from 3-3:10 and we have ZERO grace period". Let's break this down - if you only open your doors at 3, how is my session going to start exactly at 3pm and end exactly at 3:10? In all the years I've been going, no one has ever once said there is zero grace period to me when I have never shown up on the dot to any appt there ( we live in LA EVERYWHERE has at least a 5-15 minute grace period!!). Reception was adamant that even though my appointment still had 2 minutes left, they could not take me. In fact, I have had to wait 5-15 minutes for every single appointment I've been to there no matter the time I've arrived. But this time, when I'm just a few minutes over they can't take me and the next person waits no more than 10 minutes? (Next person wasn't even there). Beyond that, the flippancy and attitude of the receptionist was unacceptable and they attempted to still charge me until I had to call and ask for a manager to take it off. Even when I said I was parking, I was not reminded on text of any grace period policy and the confirmation email states this - "We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but clients who are more than 5 minutes late to their appointment are subject to the late cancellation fee". Doesn't sound like a no grace period to me! F*ck this place and I'll be sure to let my whole community know about it too. read more

I waited a few weeks to leave my review so I could truthfully include my results in my review. I went into SEV Laser for a morpheus8 treatment on my face/neck. After reading about morpheus8 and seeing before & after pictures, I was still a little skeptical as to whether or not I'd see results. But, I'm 39 years old and although (I think) I've taken good care of myself, signs of age and time are simply inevitable. The entire team at SEV Laser was welcoming. Not to mention that the facility itself is gorgeous. The morpheus8 treatment was relatively painless. Afterwards, my face was a little swollen & red for a few hours (totally normal and expected) and the aftercare instructions were easy and simple to follow. Now, the results: My best friend that had no idea I'd had morpheus8 done immediately commented the following day how much my skin was glowing. Within a few days, I began to see it for myself. My skin looks and feels sooo, so smooth. It's really incredible what it's done for reducing the size of my pores. I am a regular at SEV where I get my treatments every 6 weeks. From the first time I walked in, all the girls were super nice and super attentive. I have had three different nurses and they were all amazing. Their space is super beautiful, calm, and as they say "blessed by the grace of God". Speaking about the treatments, I have had three sessions so far and the results were clear from my first session. The only thing I would like the upper management to take into consideration is that the front desk girls are sometimes very mean to the point that last time I would talk to them and they wouldn't answer; it was so clear that even my husband noticed and pointed it out once we walked out. I didn't reduce the stars in this review because I love this place and I understand that sometimes we all have bad days. I just hope this doesn't happen again. Thanks for my full Brazilian. Honestly any girl that does not get full Brazilian laser is just gross, not smart, and is very ugly down there. I have been a loyal customer at Sev Laser for the past six months, and overall, my experience with their services has been consistently fantastic. However, today's visit was an exception and left me quite disappointed. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment, and the front desk told me they could only do 3 out of the 4 areas because there wasn't enough time. The appointment was supposed to be 45 minutes long, but in the past, the nurses always finished in 35 minutes or less. So I said, "Alright, let's see if the nurse can still finish everything on time because it usually takes 30 minutes." Immediately the girl at the front desk starts giving me attitude that throws me off completely, I ask her why she's in a mood all of a sudden and she keeps telling me she's not. okay. I go in the room. The Nurse is a trainee and she informs me that I can call for another nurse to step into her place I say it's not an issue and start. She tells me that she needs to take off 2 areas from the treatment now because she can't do it fast enough & bc I'm late and that each area requires 10 minutes. At this point I argue back and say that the front desk told me 1 area is being taken off and now she is saying 2 areas. She say's there's nothing she can do. fine. let's just start. She spends the entire appointment time (30+ min) to just laser 1 area. I ask for another nurse to complete the rest, she goes out, comes back and tells me unfortunately we need to reschedule you for the rest, our time is up. I am infuriated at this point, trying to explain to her that she took 30 minutes just to do 1 area and she argues back that legs usually takes 25 minutes and I'm like okay but you said each area is 10 minutes and she says yes. She apologizes and directs me to the front desk. I go up to the front desk, and the girl there asks me how it went. I tell her it wasn't good. She just says "okay." So, I start explaining how the trainee was super slow. First, you guys took off 1 area, then 2 when I got in the room, and in the end, you skipped 3 areas for the whole appointment. The girl at the front desk admits that she didn't expect the trainee to be that slow and says there's nothing she can do except book another appointment & if I have any complaints about the trainee, she tells me to give my feedback to the head nurse. At that moment while I'm waiting for the head nurse, Sev walks in. Asks me if I had been helped yet and I tell her everything that has happened since I walked into my appointment. She makes it up by rescheduling me for a complimentary appointment, I thank her and she leaves. The front desk girl acts very nice to me after that which I appreciate as well. The problem with this entire situation was that until Sev arrived, all of the employees were pointing fingers at each other, giving me attitude and not trying to take blame or help out AT ALL. By miracle Sev walked in at the right time I was having an issue and fixed it above my expectations. Thank you again Sev! read more

Sev laser has been my go to place for six years now! Every location is always so beautiful with kind staff. The pricing is so affordable and the appointments are so fast! Never will I ever go back to waxing! Sev has been a game changer. I go about twice a year for maintenance and it's always a joy to do so. The only thing I will say is having three locations virtually with the same address gets a little confusing and Google maps shows the wrong entrances so be sure to double check which location you are going to. read more

I got my laser hair removal completed here (arms, legs, underarms, brazilian), and it was really excellent work all around -- I'm completely hairless several years later, after all 12 sessions. It was also not very painful at all (the brazilian was slightly painful but it only lasted a second; I could barely feel the other areas, even at the highest setting). The cool air they blow while the laser is going really helps to minimize the pain. I only wish I knew about the package options; I found out about them after I was done with my 12 sessions, but I would have certainly purchased a package had I been told about them. I just scheduled my appointments one by one, without being ever told there was a bundle. And speaking of scheduling appointments, it's tough as they get booked up months in advance so it's best to schedule them several months to a full year in advance to make sure you can get in when you need to be in. Also, parking is tough in the Melrose area, but I suppose that's just a fact of life in that area... give yourself 10 mins to park & walk. The only other piece of criticism I have for this place is that it's heavily Christian-themed, which is a bit uncomfortable. There's crosses everywhere and it isn't very inviting / welcoming for the many people in LA who don't live and breathe Christianity, or want it shoved down their throats. Maybe a more neutral and inclusive theme would be better for them to consider in the future. read more

Just got back from my 1st laser session at SEV. I postpone for years and finally went for it and can't be happier I choose this guys. The location is beautiful and conveniently located in Weho. The stuff in the front was very nice and didn't rush me to fill out forms, I had a video call with nurse ahead of time. After filling the forms I went in the room where I met my practitioner(I'm so sorry I forgot the name) but she was very sweet and gave me all the instructions how the procedure will go. They have a newer machines they usually do the job in 6-12 sessions depends on your hair, so I'm excited for the next couple month and finally not doing sugaring or shaving. The laser was completely pain free and it had air blown out that helped also. I felt a small tingling but it was very easy and girl always asked me how I felt. I'm very happy I choose SEV and plus I do a lot of time between nyc and La and they have locations at both. Will update how my journey goes in next couple month read more

TBH this place is pretty legit. It's inexpensive, efficient, clean, and quick. i won't lie i had MAJOR reservations before starting the laser thing. I initially started for my neck because I use to get hella ingrown hairs. It was painful, unsightly, and embarrassing. But after Nena Pham & the SEV Laser team blessed me I not only do my neck, but other areas of my body. Needless to say my partner is extremely happy all the way around. & she gives me special greetings after my sessions. I had an appointment for Saturday but it was cancelled and I called back to reschedule and they were able to fit me in Monday which was perfect for me. I had scheduled with their main location on Melrose but when I arrived it was actually at their other Melrose location by the alley. It made me tardy since I had no idea where it was and the woman I spoke to didn't tell me they changed my appointment location. When I arrived at the location, the receptionist was super sweet and understanding. The nurse was ready for me and was explaining everything to me. I haven't had to worry about shaving my vag or armpits in weeks! In fact, the ONLY time I shave is right before my appointment because that's what you're supposed to do. The lil area is stubborn though haI recommend being careful with laser on the face. I ended up breaking out after my 3rd session. Make sure the setting is light enough for your face. Yes, people of color can get laser! Excess/unwanted hair is awful, and Sev has really changed that. I also love that they are a Christian company! I used to go often; however, after my 3rd session, I broke out on my face. I told the salon about it several times, and the manager asked me what I wanted to do. What I love about this place is that you pay per session (laser hair removal). The prices are very reasonable. There is no contract or paying ridiculous prices for a package like you would at Laseraway. I also like how easy it is to schedule/cancel appts online. I have had no issues with laser hair treatment here. I have to admit that my first session was not great because the nurse/esthetician was not the best- as it was painful for me and she wasn't that supportive or professional. But the second time, I had a nurse who was amazing! The experience can greatly depend on who's doing the treatment- when you have staff who educate you and are supportive and helpful through the process, makes all the difference! UPDATE: 10/26/20 It's been 9 days and OH MY GOSH!!! Let me begin by saying I have a lot of hair and it's thick. If I shave, and I get cold- I automatically become prickly and by day 2-3 I have to shave again because my hair is obvious and I just personally don't like it. I shaved 5 days ago and went camping in 32 degree weather at night. I WAS COLD! I got home today to really look at my legs and I WAS SHOCKED! Not only does the hair on my legs look like day 2 legs after shaving, and with 1/2 the hair regrowth. NO INGROWNS; like what?! ! My underarms and leg hair are growing out at sloth speed.
