Maybe my favorite dishes we tried. Pesto Pizza sandwich and the Mediterranean wrap were both fine. I think in this instance I came away from the meal hoping for something heartier. I was excited to find a fully vegetarian restaurant with so many options. As I was going through menu, i wanted to order it all. Each item sounded delicious. I liked veg bean soup to start with. However, I was not happy with my choice of cauliflower in appetiser. I had changed from bruschetta to cauliflower on recommendation of waiter. But it is slightly on sweet side and did not appeal to me. Artichoke spinach dip was ok. I like entree peanut stir fry with various saute veggies, it had lil extra peanut whivh is easy to remove if you dont like it. I have never had a bad dish here. Vegetarian or not everything has been absolutely delicious!!!! The 3 of us could easily choose our appetizer. IT IS A MUST HAVE!!!!! A shareable platter of garlic bread, vegan basil-cashew pesto, fresh tomato-basil relish, Kalamata olive tapenade and choice of sesame-crusted Goat cheese or house-made almond 'cheese' (Order with almond cheese to be vegan; Substitute gluten-free garlic bread to be gluten free). It had diced carrots, onion, celery and sweet potatoes in a delicious broth. So savory and warm, the kale had obviously been rubbed and was as tender as could be. I ordered another appetizer instead of a full meal. I had the General Tso's fresh Cauliflower with a very light tempura batter sprinkled with sesame seeds in a sweet and sour chili sauce-It was the right amount of heat and I found it just right in terms of quantity for my dinner. My sister had the Taco Salad-which she raves about. I have yet to try it, but it looks delicious. Ingredients include; Romaine, fresh corn salsa, black beans, sweet potatoes, avocado, pumpkin seeds, and corn chips, with your choice of Chihuahua cheese or vegan mozzarella, and your choice of sour cream or vegan cucumber ranch, with house made salsa on the side (Choose vegan mozzarella and cucumber ranch to be vegan, Gluten free.) My brother-in-law was the smartest one of all of us as he ordered the restaurant week meal which included appetizer main course, salad & dessert! I'll post the restaurant week menu below. It was fabulous. since it was still happy hour I ordered a Mocktail- Iced Ginger Spritzer Ginger, lemon, agave and soda, on ice. Wow- super ginger forward. He also had a Mocktail: A Solar Blast containing Orange, grapefruit, lime and ginger, on ice. (Mmmmmm-refreshing!) He had the white bean & kale cup of soup. He chose the Gomadore Udon -a beautiful bowl. Brown rice and Udon noodles in a mushroom broth. Silky tofu, mung bean sprouts, carrots, zucchini, green onion and kale. Veggies blanched but still crisp. What a great entrée for a below 0° day. It was finished with a rich sesame Gomodore Sauce. There was a farro grain salad with it. His dessert was a Lavender Lemon Bar which he described as heavenly. No doubt about it- this was an exquisite meal. Our server was great. He stayed on top of everything without being intrusive. The ambience here is subtle and casual. Nice long bar area and plenty of dining space. We called ahead as they will add you to a wait list and we would highly encourage that you do the same. This place is consistently good. I love all the options. The food is always fresh and it seems healthy compared to other local restaurant choices. They also have a good kids menu. Decent service ok ambiance and exceptional food!! The waitress recommended that I get the tofu instead of the tempeh and I'm so grateful that I listened. There was a substantial portion of tofu, and I dumped it onto my salad. I love Seva, simply for the fact that it isn't located downtown. It's easy to get to off of 94 and there's plenty of parking in the strip mall it's located in. The roasted beet and goat cheese ravioli was a daily special - I think they should add it to their regular menu! It was SO delicious! The ravioli was amply filled and the pasta was pretty perfectly cooked. The sauce was a shallot-chive cream sauce which was balanced and full of flavor. The taco salad had a lot of components; it's a bit messy, but super tasty! The guacamole is top notch. The grilled veggie salad was as expected. The kids quesadilla and fries were enjoyed by the little one! I love that they're vegan or vegetarian and can alter most dishes to accommodate your choice. I haven't been to Seva since they moved from downtown bc I left the area. I was delighted to return. They have an item on the menu reminiscent of something I loved at the old location which was Peanut Ginger Stir-Fry. The new dish is similarly named but it seems a bit more tart with lime. Today I went in for a quick lunch and got their Tempeh Reuben with came with a pickle spear and side of choice. I got the Yam Fries w/Vegan Spicy Mayo sauce. All were great! The yam fries were hot and fresh, with the perfect amount of crisp on the outside. The Reuben was melty and flavorful. I got it with regular cheese but there's the option to get vegan cheese instead. The bottom piece of bread did get a bit soggy over the course of the meal, but that's minor. Overall it was a filling lunch. Could probably be split between 2 friends. 4 stars instead of 5 just because in prior experiences coming here with friends, seems like sometimes the dishes can be a little hit or miss depending on what you get. read more

My favorite vegetarian restaurant in the area. There are also a ton of vegan options as well, or dishes that you can modify to be vegan! Even if you aren't veggie, there's a lot of options that aren't tofu and lentils. They also have specials that they change out often, so there's always something new! One of the best parts of this place is the parking- usually Ann Arbor parking is a nightmare but at Seva's there's a huge lot. It's also a large restaurant, so I've never had to wait for a table. Wife is Vegetarian and we found Seva while visiting Ann Arbor. Started with street corn and spinach and artichoke dip. Both were great, especially the corn. My wife did breakfast for dinner, added a glass of wine, my Sony had the curry, and I had the Pad Thai. All very good, I'm not a huge tofu fan, and you can substitute eggs, which I would do next time, but the flavors were great. We will be back! Great server, thanks Tess! We ordered Gouda tots and General Tso's Cauliflower for appetizers. They are both delicious and the best cauliflower I've had that's lightly battered and a hint of spice. I ordered Mac and cheese with side salad. It was piping hot and cheesy, perfection! My husband ordered the burrito with rice and beans. A vegetarian paradise. Wow, I have only good things to say about this quirky vegetarian eatery. The menu is a bit limited, but full of scrumptious vegan and vegetarian friendly fare, including brunch, lunch and dinner entrees, plus desserts and a full bar (they offer some alcohol free "mocktails"). There's not one thing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. Last trip here, I had the pizza pest sandwich with sweet potato fries- this has got to be one one the best sandwiches I've ever had. Oh and the sweet potato fries were so good I forgot they are technically 'healthier.' I had vegan pumpkin cheesecake to top it off, and it was delicious, still rich and with a great flavor profile.. you wouldn't know it's vegan based off flavor or textures.. I've had brunch/breakfast here a few times and the breakfast dishes taste top notch, rich in flavor and presentation is first class.. I've tried the baked mac and cheese a few times- both the regular version and the vegan option- both are rich, creamy and delicious, and portion sizes are just right.. it rivals Zingerman's!! I liked the ambiance and decor, very zen and relaxing.. service is always quite decent and only once did we have a very long wait to get food (I believe a football game was happening that day in Ann Arbor). Stopped by here during a business trip and I love all the healthy options. I had the chargrilled vegetable bowls and added chickpeas, and tried with both the goat and house made almond cheeses. We grabbed a quick bite here on a recent weekday. It was my first visit, but my husband had been here many times before. We were seated promptly and greeted by a friendly server. I thought I knew what I wanted, but when I asked if something could be made gluten-free, I learned that it couldn't. The server offered to grab me their gluten-free menu, which helped me decide on what to order (burrito bowl). Food arrived a reasonable time later, and it was quite tasty. Portions were generous and I had enough left over for a small snack later in the day. My first time visiting Seva, and it certainly won't be my last. The service was very good, and the food was even better. I ordered the Baked Brie appetizer - which was phenomenal. For lunch, I had the Grilled Pesto Pizza Sandwich. I was concerned because some restaurants have very hard/difficult to chew bread for sandwiches - not the case here. Downsides: You might not be able to customize your order. The two items I originally wanted on the menu weren't able to be customized, which is why I got the pizza sandwich. I've been eating More plant based so wanted to give this restaurant a try after reading the reviews. When we first walked in the bartender looked right at us and didn't say anything to us for a few minutes before finally searing us. Once seated, our server came to us and she was very sweet. We ordered chips and guacamole. The chips are homemade and are delicious. The guacamole wasn't very flavorful. I ordered a burrito and it was just OK. It was very sweet and very hot so it was really hard for me to enjoy it. I expected there to be more creative items on the menu but there wasn't really. A lot of the stuff I could've made at home. It's nice to see a place that caters to non-meat eaters, I just feel like this restaurant can do so much more! read more

Much respect to the veggie crowd, I'm loving the experience of finding good dishes. Seva's quesadilla is tasty and filling, and $20. I can't tell you the price of anything else because I felt like it was delicious enough to buy again - the yam fries and gouda balls are excellent. Especially the fries - I was an idiot and forgot they were in my fridge for a few days, but they still "toaster-oven'd" well enough. The quesadilla hits me because because I fondly(?) remember buying a steak quesadilla at Qdoba for $12 back in the day until I saw it had 3,000 whatevers of sodium. So I get that there's a healthy premium and restaurant cost challenges, the $20 tag just stuck with me as a bit much. But I saw the price and bought it anyway, so that's on me. Still delicious AF though. One other note - the tortilla chips that come with it are stupid-good, but are placed in the takeout container with the quesadilla, so they lose crispness after a bit. Caution: the bowl has raw broccoli when the other ingredients were hot. Still great tasting but my personal preference is for cooked ingredients. I returned after Zumba with a friend to try some new options. I tried the Senegalese peanut soup and tempeh Caesar salad. Both were excellent. The soup was a creamy base of peanut purée in the broth, and tomatoes and kale as the solid portions of the soup. A mild cayenne kick rounded the tastes out. The salad was amazing. All of the umami of a traditional. The tempeh was very well executed and diced into perfectly tiny pieces. I dare any skeptics to throw shade at this vegan meal. read more

Seva is one of my favorites in Ann Arbor, and tonight's visit didn't disappoint. I hadn't been back since the beginning of Covid, so it was a delight to find that the food was still good and that the restaurant continues to draw patrons. I was further thrilled to see that about half the staff continued to wear masks. While our waiter did not, he did keep his distance each time he checked on us. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs by checking with us multiple times to see if we needed anything. As for the food, I ordered the Beyond Burger with cheddar cheese and the peanut-kale salad. I also enjoyed the Patio Punch with rum to wash it all down. That mason jar my punch came in was much bigger than I expected! It was perhaps the best deal on a cocktail I have had in years! The general tso cauliflower was so good, and the pasta (vegan) and ravioli were delish. Also got the squash enchiladas, with homemade tortillas chips, also excellent. Great beer/wine/cocktail menu as well. The vegan key lime was good, it was made with coconut something so had that flavor in it as well. Tasty but you must like coconut. The orange cake with frosting was sooooo gooood, vegan frosting, nice and thick! Cake was moist & just overall everything was really well done.
