I love a good salad, so I was excited to finally check out sweetgreen while in Ann Arbor recently…read more Nate and I chose this location for its proximity to another spot we wanted to visit (York) as well as its available parking lot vs. the downtown location. I had browsed the menu a bit beforehand, and decided I wanted the caramelized garlic steak protein plate. They also have bowls (greens + grains base) and salads. Unfortunately they were all out of the steak and it was going to be a 10 minute wait, and they were also out of the roasted sweet potatoes so I ended up kind of building my own bowl with mixed greens, rice, blackened chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, and pesto vinaigrette. I liked that they mixed up the bowl for me since it can be tough to mix in those small to-go containers. They also asked if I wanted light, regular, or heavy dressing - I said regular, but would probably go light next time. We also got a piece of bread on the side. They have a designated outdoor seating area by the parking lot, which was great for the nice day. I loved my bowl and everything was super fresh and very flavorful. It was also a huge portion! We definitely could have split one bowl. I will say that it was super salty. Nate liked his shroomami bowl even though we both thought the kale could have been massaged a bit to make it softer. I'm hoping sweetgreen will expand to Grand Rapids - we do have CoreLife but I'd love to have this option too!

I went here at around 9:30 on February 15th, my steak and chicken was raw and they tried to give me…read morea $20 store credit instead of a refund on a $34 order. I want my refund and I will never come to this store again.

Plenty of parking as it's right next to Target!…read more They have a cozy atmosphere and cool art all over the wall. The employee was nice. Unfortunately, they didn't provide a cup of water (I'm too cheap to buy water). The food was good! We ordered Falafel salad and rice and Chicken Shawarma bowl. Both were delicious! My husband pointed out that the garlic sauce on the chicken shawarma looked a little...like something else. But it was garlic sauce (yet it looks different in other people's pictures). Anywho, they give you big portions for affordable prices ($10)!! And it's tasty!

I was in the target shopping plaza on Carpenter Road when a powerful paying of hunger overtook me…read more I left left and right to see what is available to eat. I had seen this shot before, but had never been in. So I ventured in to the Brothers St., Food. It features Halal gyros and a few other Mediterranean options. I went up and ordered from the friendly man behind the counter . Although I was very hungry, I really only wanted something quick and small so I ordered the traditional Gyro without fries. I sat down and waited for my order, which was done in under five minutes. I took it home to eat and was very surprised at the generous size of the sandwich. The meat was flavorful. The tzatziki dressing was just the right amount. It wasn't dripping out of the bottom yet there was plenty of it. There was room to sat down and eight in as there are booths and a couple of small tables, but like I said, I was in a hurry. The bread was soft and overall, it was a very delightful sandwich . I would go back again and try other items. You should too!

We popped in here for a few drinks and some food to pick at…read more I ordered the L'oral Lavendar Sour and it was such a delicious cocktail. Then we started to think about food and the server recommended the artichoke dip with homemade flatbread. It was absolutely amazing. The place is cool and the vibe is pretty chill. First time visiting, it's easy to find and lots of parking. Parking is behind the pub, employee…read moreentrance is in the "front." We were here in December so the patio wasn't open but looks roomy with many picnic tables. We opted to sit at the bar because that's usually where we get personal with brew pubs we love to discover. We always search local brews when traveling and 9/10 times the bartender will greet us, ask if we've been there, make recommendations or tell us a bit about the brewery style. Not here. I'm not sure the bartender ever even made eye contact and pretty sure he wanted to be there even less than he wanted us to be there. We did get a few beer samples by request, but no recommendations, he didn't ask what we thought and he made us feel very unwelcome right from the start. However, once that bartender was relieved the new bartender was chatty and friendly to the new customers. We had finished our beers and meal by that time and just needed to cash out. So I would say maybe it's just that one employee. We had the pretzels. Kudos to the pretzel bread-- it was delicious. Beer cheese was pretty good, as was the mustard. We asked about the menu and what he recommends (still trying to be friendly and get him to warm up). He recommended the special menu, so we ordered the Blackened Salmon sandwich. It was okay/average. Fries were cold. We ordered the Table Talk beer and I enjoyed it. I'd say that the beer was the best part of the whole experience. Overall I'm glad we tried it but we wouldn't go back. If the bartender had been more welcoming and interested in sharing a bit more about the concept, we would give it a second try when we head out there again. It's always good to try other food items and beers, but the vibe doesn't warrant a second try. I can understand if a place is busy, but we were there at 2pm on a Saturday and were two of four at the bar and he didn't look to be super busy with the restaurant as a whole. It's always so disappointing when service falls so short on something that could be such a unique experience. Three stars for the beer and pretzel.
