Let's talk about these dill fries. What the holy hell are these and why have I never had anything like them before??? Stopped in at Pita Way not really on purpose - I had gone straight from work to driving the kid places and had not had dinner so I originally planned to stop for a smoothie in the shopping center by the Meijer off of Jackson Road. On a whim, I stopped in this place instead and ordered the dill fries plus the Mediterranean street corn with some dark meat chicken on top. Omg. So good!!! This is the second time I've been here. Both times the service has been exceptional. I'm always greeted immediately when I come in the door, and the attention to detail and packaging and getting the order right is what you would expect from having an owner behind the counter. Prices are completely reasonable and while the interior is not going to win any awards -- it is a fast casual restaurant in a strip mall after all -- it's fine. Would definitely recommend. read more

Pita Way is always solid. One of my favorite fast casual places. Lots of great topping options and its very possible to eat healthy if you do it right. Ordered 4 entrees online and they were running pretty far behind. It was by far the busiest I've ever seen a Pita Way. read more

Grabbed a quick lunch while passing through the area. Easy parking, inside was fairly clean. One young lady was working when we walked in, friendly and helped us with the menu. I joked with her as they had specials for Mon/Tues, but decided the rest of week did not deserve one-LOL. I like simple, especially when ordering something new. I did a Detroit Gyro, and wife did a bowl. The food was good and we left full and the wallet did not take a big hit. read more

I've been happy to see Pita Way expanding. Great addition to the roadside/retail distict quick service options. For my fist visit to this location I got a lettuce"legacy bowl" with grilled chicken, plus the standard chopped tomatoes, cukes, onions and a side of hummus. Pita Way's tangy, classic white sauce was recommended by the counterman as a dressing and that was a good choice. The chicken was tender, all the veggies were crisp, very nice lunch salad for $11. read more

Phenomenal food, quality and taste! Alex made my bowl and since it was my first time I wanted to know their recommendation and they certainly delivered! The restaurant was clean but most customers get their food to go, but they definitely have some seating. I loved the dark meat chicken bowl I had. I was not sure if I would finish it but I simply devoured it all and I had fries as well. Let me tell you these fries were DELICIOUS!! They were hot and crispy and everything you would ever want fries to be. I loved my experience at this pita way and can't wait to go again soon!! read more

We tried out Pita Way today and overall just weren't impressed. It was okay. We each got a build your own pita- my husband with chicken and mine falafel. We ate some of them but didn't finish them. They really weren't good. Edible, sure, but nothing special. The dill fries were decent- they were crispy and had some good flavor, but again we expected more out of these. Those were really the highlight and I'd give the fries a 6/10. Sandwiches like 2/10. My husband really didn't like the chicken. He also asked for the sumac on the outside of his sandwich and the way they do it, it just makes it so it's piled in one line in one spot and that's was it. Customer service wasn't great. It wasn't the worst, but could be better in my opinion. Also beware that their toppings had other toppings mixed into them, likely from dropping them by accident into the other tubs of toppings as they're building sandwiches. For me it really wasn't a big deal, but there were a couple random items I didn't ask for on my sandwich, like olives and little tomato chunks. I think it's because they're set up kind of like Subway, where there are toppings you choose sitting right next to each other and sometimes as toppings are being picked up to put on a sandwich, a couple pieces may fall into the tubs next to it. So I did get a couple random olives and tomatoes that I think had just accidentally fallen into the tubs of toppings I DID want, and ended up on my sandwich. Just something to note, as others may be more bothered by unwanted toppings in their food than I am. I'm also a vegetarian and the employee preparing my wrap had just touched chicken directly with his gloves and then went right to my wrap and flattened it out and wrapped it up and everything with the same gloves he had just been touching all the chicken with for my husbands wrap. I didn't mention anything to him, as I didn't want to make a deal of it, but it's also worth noting for other folks who may not like that. It was clean inside, so that was nice. But, overall, we would not return. read more

Food is really good Great choices, great staff But it's not as good as the other Pita Ways in the area Here's my three out of 5 star reasoning: -Garlic sauce is watery and not very garlicky here; other Pita Ways is more like a paste with huge garlic flavor. Would be great if they could update -they don't brew their own ice tea and the fountain tea is really bad... could you please brew some fresh ice tea? Thank you!! -and lastly, the plastic wrap that covers the pita bread makes the pita smell and taste funny If these changes could be made, 5 stars!! read more

This place is like a Greek Salad/ Pita Subway. The customer service is top notch and the hummus is the next Sabra. If I was the partner, I would close the brick and mortar & just manufacture the hummus. It really exceeds the taste of the heavily commercialized Sabra brand. This is a "Mediterranean take" on Chipotle and Qdoba, you pick your protein and then add your toppings. Their Gyro pita was not the typical Greek Gyro that I am used to but they offer many more topping options than you typically get in a Greek Gyro which makes for a nice change. They also offer a couple of chicken variations and falafel as their protein options. The topping selection was very extensive. They offer a rolled pita format and a "rice bowl" format. There are also a number of regional themed salad options and many "party tray" selections. The servers were very friendly and helpful. The menu is a bit confusing for a first timer but the staff walked us through the ordering process and it now makes sense to us. Ambience is typical "fast food" and the place was clean. Prices for a single meal are generally in the $10 to $15 range. read more

Very quick friendly service and really delicious food! Way more variety offered than just pita sandwiches. You can decide on a bowl of rice with generous portions of white or dark chicken or gyro meat with dozens of toppings to select from. I love the food but the service at this store is the worst! So rude and lazy that it's downright awkward. It makes you want to walk out before your order can make it to the cash register. I've tried just ordering online but if I'm not standing right there watching them do it they get my order wrong 100% of the time. Its too bad but we just can't go back there. read more

First let me say that I had a falafel sandwich there a while back and it was very good. However, today I got a text message about a Halloween Special for a mini combo. When I couldn't find details for the "special" I called the restaurant but only got an answering machine that told me to order online. So I did. When I went into the shop to pick it up, I was told there was no special just a promotional announcement. It wasn't cheap, but okay, I understood it was a holiday promotion. But I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The pitas were stale, the hummus didn't taste like hummus, so I'm not sure whether it was their hummus or tahini. The salad wasn't really a fattoush salad, but the shredded lettuce was fresh, however, there wasn't enough salad dressing for the extra salad I ordered. At best, the experience was mediocre. I'll not be bamboozled by their false ads again and I'll set lower expectations for food at Pita Way. The staff was polite and conscientious. . read more
