Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

First, the bread for the hummus came right out of the oven and it was heaven. Crispy on the outside and soft and steamy on the inside. We love this stuff. Almond rice was good. Meat Shawarma sandwich was good. But the meat pies were great. Basically a middle eastern pizza. Never had one before but now I am a fan. I will be back and I think this place is worth a try. Beshar was very friendly and ensured our needs were met. Food came very quickly. Items were freshly made - bread was hot out of the oven. You got to try their juices (we tried beets + carrots, and carrots + apple - both were great). All the items we had were excellent (starter combo, chicken shish kafta, lamb shawarma, baklava, falafal) and authentic. Based on the tasted and quality, we think you can't go wrong with other items too. Don't forget to try their Yemani tea. We are definitely going back.

I went with the pork gyro (you have a choice of pork, beef/lamb, or chicken), I paid extra to make the fries, feta fries. The fries are coated fries, topped with feta, Tzatziki, a drizzle of olive oil and oregano, they were pretty tasty. The gyro was so fresh and juicy, loaded with pork, fries, tomatoes, onions and Tzatziki, the best gyro that I've had in a long time. I liked that you could see the fyro spits and the cook carving it fresh for your sandwich, in plain sight. There were lots of other things on the menu that I want to try in the future. We got the aloo tikki (fried potato & peas patty) to start and it was perfectly crispy and delicious with the chutneys. We got the tikka masala and Manchurian chicken as our main entrees and they were both flavorful and perfectly spiced. The garlic naan was fresh and soft. I only wished there was more rice that came work the tikka masala. The portion was a bit small for the entree. The staff were very nice though.
