Bread with garlic butter

Open for just a couple months, Lavash Mediterranean Grill is on top of their game. Very friendly, attentive customer service. EVERYONE was so warm and welcoming. The atmosphere reflects what you would expect in a clean, new modern building. The people and food transform that modern feeling into an Old World familiarity. Almost like family. A basket of poofy Naan bread with a garlic spread was a perfect starter. The salads are fresh and appetizing. Very tasty and attractively presented. The entree, Shish Tawook, charbroiled, marinated with lemon and oregano, chicken breast kabob was served with rice. The 16 ounces of delicious chicken was so filling. For dessert, an ample bite sized square of Baklava hit the spot. Whenever I'm in the Plymouth area again, Lavash Mediterranean Grill will be a required spot.

Half Deboned chicken. Grilled vegetables instead of rice

The food was WAY better than the famous place on Ford & Warren Roads. The service was exceptional. Our server catered to all of our special requests, and then some. Very simple restaurant....no frilly chandeliers...no gaudy light fixtures. But the food is definitely the star here. Highly recommend.

I love having this Plymouth location! It's a smaller (& maybe simpler looking) restaurant, however…read morethe service was excellent and super friendly! The restaurant is mostly booths and got busiest after 7pm. The food was fabulous as always, I had a chicken schwarma sandwich and lentil soup. My friends also got the fattoush salad with chicken and hummus. The pita bread came straight out of the oven with some garlic sauce. Delicious as always as the pita bread is a favorite! La Marsa is a staple, love that they have multiple convenient locations! I think the nicest location that I've been to is probably the one in FH on Drake & Grand River (or maybe Troy) but the Plymouth location is perfect for convenient carry out. Yum!

My husband and I are both obsessed with the half deboned chicken (white meat only), with the classic lemon-oregano sauce. The chicken has a bit of a char, but is still juicy. The sauce is a perfect balance of garlicky and herby goodness, with the bright snap of lemon. It's delicious! The chicken comes with two sides. I usually get hummus as a side, along with the roasted vegetables. My husband always eats half my hummus, so I get some of his rice. All the sides are delicious, except I wish the roasted vegetables had fewer green peppers. I'm just not a fan of them. The service is always super friendly and attentive. Love La Marsa!

I always appreciate a good fast-casual style restaurant that offers an easy menu with good and healthy options, so I was looking forward to trying out The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in West Bloomfield! Upon first glance, the restaurant looks very chill, well kept up, and has tons of seating options. The staff was also very kind and continually offered to help with anything during our visit. However... I have two main qualms. One is that the price per item adds up very quickly here. You essentially have to factor in that you can probably get 1.5 meals out of a portion, because otherwise, you're paying close to $20 for a single meal of fast-casual food. Keep in mind that most other locations of this caliber in this area would easily have 2 meals worth of food in one entree at a lower price. The food itself was pretty ok - I'd say it met our expectations of what a standard mediterranean restaurant should be. That said... they definitely disappointed us with the wait time. We went in on a slow Sunday afternoon, and though there was only 1 other family in the restaurant, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food. Ultimately... I'd probably recommend you try somewhere else -- The Great Greek Mediterranean is definitely casual, but nowhere near fast.

I met my friend and his wife at this Middle Eastern eatery for lunch while I was in town. The…read moreSheikh Restaurant is located in a middle suite of a narrow Canton Township strip mall. Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.
