And being totally inside with no views of anything was kind of a drag. But still 5 Stars due to the wines and the atmosphere of the inside. Deena was great and sat down and explained every wine in great detail. She even let me try the Reserve Cab which was excellent. One of the whites wasn't good at all and I had to ask for a new glass so I wouldn't taint the next sample. But you're probably not going to like them all. That's the fun part! I enjoyed learning about the Austin Hope winery and its origins. I felt like they grew in popularity quickly and threw up some barns to accommodate the crowds. For example, the bathroom wasn't well constructed as when people slammed the door shut, the walls shook. I can't imagine how the walls would shake if someone had a blowout here. Even with some of the downfalls, this was my favorite winery and I wish I could get some of the wines without joining the club. The commitment is too much and shipping is also high, so it's not worth it. The GSM was my favorite and if I ever see it somewhere, Ima get me some!

Exterior seating seems very private with large shrubs acting as walls. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came here on our last stop before heading back to our airbnb. We had a reservation and were seated in the intermediary room that had a very dark ambiance and high ceilings. A wine tasting here offered 5 tastings. The service was very nice and said if we wanted to taste anything else then they'd be happy to let us sample. Now that's how you close a potential sale. I always see the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon in stores and was curious about how good their reserve is. spoiler, it is very good. THE FINAL BAMBOO: A wine tasting here is around $25 and the bottles range from $50+. I love Austin Hope's wine. Definitely a must visit and I will be back next time I'm in Paso.

The sauce was very rich and flavorful. The pasta was cooked properly, and the mushrooms were just so good. The Duck Confit was similar - the duck leg was cooked properly, and worked great with the Heirloom tomatos and plum, all of which sat on a wild rice salad. You can skip the wine tasting and order drinks or wine off the menu if you want. Take a moment to walk around the grounds, look up at the ceiling work. They do not offer complimentary bread service. Bread is on the menu - House made sourdough focaccia with lavender butter. It was so good, totally worth the price. Slight crisp on the outside, spongy interior, but chewy from the sourdough gluten. Hint of sweet in the background. Butter is light and aromatic. This amazing dish is just the bread. Roasted Chicken was tender with a light sauce. Pasta with mushroom sounds simple but it was yummy and perfect. For wine tasting, they offered a complimentary welcome taste of Pino Rose, light and refreshing. The tasting had 4 wines, my favorite was the 2022 Reserve Chardonnay. It was buttery and smooth. The building, scenery of the vineyard hills, and the flower garden were all beautiful.

The server was so knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a great time overall. This vineyard is beautiful and the structures are clean and modern. We even got to see the cave on our way back to the car which was also pretty cool.

It's a cute winery but non-descriptive. We sat outside and it was pretty windy so we had our jackets on And there was a cover overhead. Kathy was our server and she is one of the daughters of the owner. She had another large group and a couple of smaller ones and she was all by herself. She did an excellent job explaining the wines and not rushing us. I was impressed with the wines so I joined the wine club. Their wines are reasonably priced and tasting fee is $30 per person but if you buy a bottle of wine it's waved. I also bought one of the small stemless wine glasses and a daughter-in-law bought one with a stem. I'm looking forward to more of their wines.

Today we came and were greeted by Jessica ( she calls herself the adoptive daughter) . This is a great family run winery. Mr. Gino came and sat with us for a while and had us very entertained with all his wonderful stories . He is always so kind and welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed all of the wines we tasted. We decided to bring home the 2022 Zinfandel, 2019 Malfada and the 2018 Tre Sorelle. In all honesty you can't go wrong with any of their wines. If you want to escape to Italy without having to fly all the way to Italy I recommend you come here and taste all of their great wine and get some great stories from Mr. Gino. Can't wait for our next visit.

The Margherita pizza did not disappoint and was made in the outdoor pizza oven. I can't recommend DAOU enough for a tasting in a magical setting. We'll definitely be back!

The tasting experience was still complimentary thanks to the blessed heart of Mr. Gary Eberle (thank you kind Sir), who also happened to grill up some delicious meats and smoked sausage that day (Santa Maria style), which was the perfect pairing to his wines. Huge thanks to that goes to our host, Tamara. She was an absolute delight! Our glasses were never empty and she was just such a funny, quirky host. About halfway through our flight, she took us downstairs for the cave tour. Wow, what a stunner! Such a unique touch to this winery. The other incredible thing is that Eberle doesn't charge for tastings so you might as well pick up a bottle or two :)

What we didn't expect was to be completely blown away. The facility is on the smaller side without a lot of frills, but honestly that's part of the charm. The staff are warm and genuine, and you can feel their pride in both the winery and the wines they produce. The focus here is on GSM blends and other Rhône varietals, along with Bordeaux blends and varietals -- big, bold, and fruit-forward, but balanced enough to keep things interesting glass after glass. We had such a great experience that we joined the wine club before we left. We don't live locally, but the Ecluse Enthusiast membership is absolutely worth it -- especially with only a 6-bottle annual commitment. It's given us a great reason to make Paso an annual trip, and Ecluse is always one of our must-stop favorites. Since joining, the winery has gone through some exciting changes. They've built out a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyard, and they were acquired by Thibido Winery. We were a little nervous about what that might mean for the brand we loved, but they've stayed true to keeping both labels separate and distinct -- and we've only benefited from it, since we now get to taste wines from both when we come for our annual pickup. We can't wait to spend more time on that terrace during our next visit. If you're putting together a Paso Robles wine itinerary, Ecluse deserves a spot on it.

Today the tasting room. Tori the Operations Manager educated us, cared for us, and wowed us to the fullest extent. If you need a winery that is not only organic but AMAZING in every way, stop here. Someone taught me years ago in the Bay Area that you shouldn't be a wine club member unless you like all the wines, I thought to myself "Is that even possible to like all the wines at a particular winery?". The wine tasting included 5 wines. My favorites were the crushable rose for the hot summer day and the peppery primitivo. However the grenache and their azimuth blend had a very nice structure. THE FINAL BAMBOO: The tasting was around $35 for five wines. I'm a fan of their wines and when I find myself back in Paso, I'll be back.

They provided water as well as a dump basin. This isn't too far off the beaten path. We got in a little early, and found at least 2 more wineries (not on the "map" from the big bad search engine) down the road a ways. The cats are very friendly and love a light touch behind the ears. The tasting room is set up nicely - it has a retail area where you can pick up some wine tools, or just some nice stuff to have around your house. And did I mention free tastings? Where can you find that anymore? Not many places.

It made for a more relaxing experience in my opinion, and our group was able to talk and eat the charcuterie board with enough space on the table. The tasting was quite generous, and at the end of the tasting, the owner asked us if we wanted any additional tastes of anything which was a really nice touch. Two of us ended up sharing the classic tasting, it came with 5 wines, and we got an extra bonus pour of another wine they had open. The tasting had 1 white and 4 reds when we were in. We were helped by Emily, she was great to chat with and knew a ton about the wine, winery, and Paso. My favorite thing about the tasting was that they had a section on the menu that talked about the 2023 vintage (all but one wine we tried were from 2023) and how it differed from 2022. It was great education and information on why the wine was the way it was that year. We didn't love any of the wines enough to take them home with us, but we did find that the 23's everywhere weren't our favorites, we'll have to come back once they have a new vintage!

On our last visit, we had the pleasure of being served by Tony for the first time. Tony is great with entertaining stories and recommendations for food pairing. He even introduced us to a website with delicious Italian recipes. The wine is fairly priced considering the high quality.

We did also get an off menu taste. Our favorite from the flight was the whole cluster grenache, we ended up taking a bottle of that one home. We were helped by Erica, she was super fun to chat with and very knowledgeable about the wines. We didn't know this when booking, but the tasting flight came with a snack plate! It had bread, cheese, nuts, some dips, and olives, such a fun surprise. The property and tasting room were beautiful! I also loved that you got to see the massive steel tanks as you walked into the tasting room.
