This particular coffee shop caught my attention because their website indicated, "Every purchase creates job opportunities for local teens and supports schools, nonprofits, and community organizations." I stopped by on a Saturday at 8 am. There were several patrons at the small tables and several people came in after me. It looks like they are popular among locals. I had the iced latte with house-made lavender syrup. I told the waitstaff that I prefer less sweet and she asked if they should lessen the amount of lavender syrup. I declined but I probably should've taken her suggestion because the drink was a teeny bit too sweet for me. But otherwise, the coffee was strong and it kept me running for hours!

The employee who showed me around the roastery took a personal interest in getting to know me and my love for coffee and tailored the tour to my interests and level of knowledge. He didn't seemed rushed and was genuinely interested in sharing with me about Boston Stoker, like their history and what they have been doing in the specialty coffee world. To top off the visit with a wonderful display of souther hospitality he brewed me a pour over of a favorite coffee the team was drinking at the time and sent me off with a bunch of sweet stickers. In frustration, I actually called the phone number printed right on the side of their trailer. Someone answered, but instead of being helpful, they were incredibly rude, snapped "What do you want?", when I answered they immediately hung up. When I tried calling back, they just ignored the phone entirely. It takes a special level of terrible service to completely abandon your post at a major festival and then treat paying customers like a nuisance when they try to reach you. After the way I was treated, I wouldn't drink their coffee if it was free. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.
