I've really been looking forward to coming to this cafe for a while now. My best friend has been planning to also bring me here for a while now too. So the reason I gave this a 3 star: The waiting is per usual; most brunch places I don't expect to just walk in without some waiting. But what was really inconvenient was the fact that for us to know what our queue in line was, we had to download an app and keep up with your place in line. It wasn't too big of a deal but it's not something I feel like was convenient to go through just to go eat brunch. The interior of the cafe itself was clean and cute. Our waiter was really nice (his name is Blake). He was very meticulous and made sure our needs were met. I also liked how he brought us the bill when we asked for the to-go boxes and didn't rush us to leave, but just wanted us to pay ahead so we didn't have to wait for him to come back around for the bill (one of my biggest pet peeves when eating out). Food wise, this place wasn't that outstanding. I expected more from a 4 star cafe and for being one of the top brunch spots in my area. I decided to opt for the Southern Benny with a side of grits. The eggs bennies were cooked to perfection; runny but creamy. The gravy drenched the biscuits but it wasn't too drenched to where the entire biscuit was soggy. As for the grits; it kind of disappointed me that it tasted like the gravy. My idea of grits is classic: Plain with a slab of butter on top. This cup tasted like a ratio of 3:2, gravy/grits. I wanted the grits to be plain to help balance the platter of the gravy, but instead it just felt too much all at once. One of my friends ordered the Blackbean Burger and I had a bite. The Burger was as dry as the green part of a brand new Scotch Brite sponge. The tomato they gave also was basically the two butt ends of the cuts and my friend had to cut them into fours for it to be evenly spread out on the Burger. She also asked for the grilled onions and they never came out to the table. To her, it was basically prison food. My other friend ordered one of the scrambles, the Capitola and it was basically the best dish at our table. The scrambled eggs were as they should be. The hash browns on both of my friend's plates were seasoned fine but I do prefer them a little less on the soggier side. If you like mushier hash browns, they would probably be great for you. Not too sure what all the hype is about. Jon G. and I had our eyes on this spot for quite some time. One Sunday, we decided to give this place a shot. I put us on the waitlist via Yelp and off we go. I was first drawn to Seven Mile after seeing that their menu includes a choose two Benedict option as well as pancake sampler, which closely imitates the menu concept of my favorite brunch place! I am so indecisive, so anything where I can pick more than one flavor of something always piques my interest. Sadly, I was left not that impressed. I will say that the location and space itself are definitely very cute. Main St. Keller is one of my favorite little areas! They have a huge chess board with matching huge pieces outside, perfect for killing time while you wait, the lines get long here! (Which is why I recommend using Yelp to get on the waitlist!) The interior has that modern industrial feel, with wood mixed in. We arrive right on time to be seated. Right as we get to our table, Jon. G. and I put in an order for a Mimosa Carafe. I noticed that they were $23!! So pricey!! It arrives as we are checking out the menu. We pour ourselves a glass and encounter the first problem here, the Mimosa was 95% orange juice. I was legitimately confused, there wasn't any bubble when you took a sip, and you could just barelyyyyy taste the champagne. The only reason I was positive there was Champagne innit at all, was because of the pulpy bubbles at the top, which indicated that champagne had been poured over orange juice that was already in the carafe. Doing it this way leaves a residue at the top from the bubbles (not pretty). Also, this is why I feel like there wasn't enough Champagne, because they perhaps had stuck so much OJ in first, that there wasn't enough room for all the bubbly. Most carafes we've purchased come with a completely up-ended bottle of champagne into a Carafe, then topped off with just enough orange juice to change the color. I wish that had been the case here. We honestly couldn't believe that we were about to pay $23 for what I felt like, was just juice. After struggling with myself on whether or not to say something, I finally decide to mention it to our waitress, who apologized and brings it back to the bar, where they top off the Carafe again with champagne. She brings it back and this time it's a little bit better, definitely more bubbly, so we decide to just leave it at that. On to the main reason I wanted to come, the Choose 2 Benedict's! They definitely had a pretty good amount of Benny Options, I decided to keep it kinda coastal with the crab cake Benny and the California benny. Jon G. ordered some Benny's, as well as a pancake sampler for us to share! For the sampler, we decided on S'moreo, Cinnamon Roll and Berry Dream. Wait isn't anything crazy and before long, our meals arrive. Poached eggs had a nice jiggle to them, indicating they weren't overcooked, but they only included one teeny, tiny, dipping bowl of hollandaise for both your Benedicts! Definitely not enough sauce! We had to request extra. I did like the spice they put on top of the eggs, added a nice little kick of flavor and in the end, the Benedicts were pretty good. The flavors I had gotten were too similar though. Also, I wish the hashbrowns had more crunch. Pancakes were decent, but I do wish that they weren't overlapping. Only because once you move the part that was overlapping, the pancake underneath was naked! Small issue in the end, but I really enjoyed the topping and would have like to have the entirety of the pancakes covered. The only one that was complete was the berry one. The experience overall was just ok. I kind of expected better, but maybe this was just an off day. We'll probably be visiting here again, eventually, since it wasn't completely terrible, but have yet to make our ways back. Crossing my fingers that our next experience is more satisfying! read more

I come here occasionally and it has never been unenjoyable. It is almost always busy but not so busy that you can't be seated in a reasonable amount of time. I am a sucker for the Berry Dream pancake, a foot diameter pancake with crème anglaise, blueberries, and strawberries, for those of you who've not been before, and usually ask for that as my baked good along with whatever I'm having for breakfast. Usually a veggie omelette, no mushrooms thank you very much, or the crab cake eggs Benedict, of which they are sometimes out, sorry to say. Wash it down with a CCC, if you like cold, sweet, creamy, chocolatey, coffee and you're good to go! read more

Forgot to check in here! Had a quick breakfast with a friend. She had the pancake trio and wow it was amazing, you get 3 pancakes of your choice. I tried all of them, the blueberry/strawberry was my favorite because it wasn't too sweet. Pancakes could have been a touch warmer but still good. I had an omelette, it was ok but a little runny for my taste. I had regular coffee with cream & she had a latte that came out like a professional barista kissed the top of it. Service was spot on! So tasty I had to visit twice in 2 days!!! Visiting from the "brunch capital", I was looking for something special & I found it here! Sat at the bar where Liv & Alex took outstanding care of me. The "Southern benedict" was brilliant! I asked for a little Hollandaise on the side and deconstructed it all so that I had all of my favorites in one plate... fried ckn, biscuits & gravy and perfectly poached eggs, crispy applewood bacon and hollandaise. YUMM! Alex made thr perfect iced latte's... even conjuring a special coffee for my high maintenance friend. NEXT DAY, i had the blueberry waffle and more of that delish applewood bacon. One suggestion... ask for the waffle to be extra crispy so that all of the anglaise & whipped crème doesn't make it soggy before you are done. Alex made me another delicious latte and remembered me from the day before. LOVE the atmosphere of local restaurants... especially when you can tell the servers enjoy their jobs. Must mean mgmt is doing something verrrry right. Kudos to the folks who brought this concept to life!!! read more

If you love delicious food, this place is for you. We often do Seven Mile for breakfast/brunch and are rarely disappointed. It's a place that we take our kids, family, or just ourselves to eat and the experience never changes. Honestly, I am a creature of habit so once I find something I like ...I cling to it. While I can say that I have tried a good bulk of the menu - I have some real MVP's that should be recognized. First of all, their gluten sensitive pancakes are sinful. I think they are better than ANYONE's regular pancakes, and they are somewhat guilt free. Second, the gouda grits are absolutely addicting .. ask for extra green onion, you won't be mad you did. Lastly, either the huevos rancheros or the capitola scramble will leave you licking your plate. This place meets the needs for all your brunch/lunch desires. I only give it 4 stars and not 5 because it adds up quickly if you're not careful. It often feels like there is an up charge for anything and everything. This place is a great place to have a really good latte and a good plate of well prepared food for brunch. I had the grits and eggs with sausage and bacon. My heaping bowl of food arrived with an ingredient didn't order. The server immediately took it back and return with a fresh bowl exactly the way I ordered it. My wife had the Migas. Which came out looking good and tasting better than they appeared. My son ordered the gravy train and a pumpkin spice pancake. He told me the gravy train was awesome but he preferred the original pancake over the pumpkin. The atmosphere was great with a laid back cafe vibe. This was a very friendly establishment. The option to check in beforw you get there is the wave of the future for sure. The selection was pretty big for breakfast and moderate selection for lunch, definitely a breakfast/brunch spot more than anything. Another shining star in the Keller dining scene. It has the ambiance feel of First Watch and the menu of DeVivo Brothers, resulting in a winning combination. The service was excellent too. I had the Migas, which were good, but the Black beans on the side were the item that really pulled the whole dish together. My wife had the House Salad and Tortilla Soup, the soup was average, but the salad dressing was excellent (vinaigrette). My daughter had the Carmelized Berry Bliss Stuffed French Toast. Which was amazing. The star of the show was the "Wake Up Beer" Guinness mixed with two espresso shots, delicious! Overall it was excellent, we will definitely be back for more. read more

I should've known better to order crab cake around here. It was at best a frozen crab cake, microwaved and tasteless. The egg wasn't a Benedict, it was at most a medium boiled egg. Yummy. More pros than cons. We will be back to try again. We had tried to visit before but the wait was too intimidating. This time we did the online check in and had essentially zero wait. My first online check in has made me a fan. Staff was friendly and the environment was pretty great. I'm adverse to really loud spaces, and this wasn't quiet, but I'd describe it more as lively than loud. Another review called it loud, so it may just be down to where you sit. It was clean and modern and comfortable. There was plenty of space so I never felt crowded. We'll try the bar next time, that looks like a really cool place to hang out. We ordered mimosas and I had a Bloody Mary. My wife had the peach mimosa and had the OJ version. They were excellent, to the extent that my wife said something like it is her new life goal to have a carafe of them. I feel similarly about the OJ version, but the Bloody Mary is on my list of best ways to start a day now. She had the Americano coffee too and it checked all the boxes to meet her high expectations. When we go back, we won't get anything with gravy. It wasn't bad per se, it's not like they put any weird flavoring in it, but it didn't have the seasoning or depth of flavor we expect. I won't order chicken fried steak again, which was also not bad, but not great. They didn't know how to cook a basted egg, which surprised me, but they did nail medium on the over-easy alternative I requested. Scrambled eggs - awesome. Biscuits - awesome. Hash browns - awesome. We saw people with pancakes and eggs Benedict that looked awesome. The menu has smoked Gouda grits. There are many things that we want to try that we didn't have room to try this time. Next time we go, and there will be a next time, we'll have completely different orders. Speaking of portion size, holy cow did they overachieve! If you're someone who often has to order extra to get full, this is the place for you. We will probably have to split an order next time, as I felt like we were bringing at least much home as we were able to eat while we were there. This whole experience had the same vibe I've had at brunches in Austin. If you're a fan, then this place may be for you. Be a little aware, it is priced like Austin too. We normally spend less and get less, so make sure you're aware of what your wallet is comfortable with. I want to make this a four star review, because I really like this place but there were just too many failures in my eyes. My wife would have given it five stars despite the gravy. I think they even have the potential for five stars from me with a few minor adjustments. I'm really hoping our next visit will hit that level. read more

First off when we ordered we had to repeat our kids meal order to the waitress about 6 times. Then she has to go tell her manager because she still didn't understand. The manager repeats want we want which is wrong as well. We reiterate the order. Food comes out and my meal has the runniest scrambled eggs I've ever seen. I specifically ordered the eggs scrambled. I got a pool of runny eggs all over my plate. I ask for them to be remade. They AGAIN come out extremely runny! I don't understand why there is a huge communication problem??? We get the check and it shows they only took $3.00 off from my eggs but then charged me for TWO kids meals! I ordered one and an extra sausage patty. Why would you be charged for a second kids meal instead of an extra sausage charge???? Disgusting customer service to say the least!!
