We made a beeline for My Cafe after moving to North Fort Worth because the My Cafe in Flower Mound is our all-time favorite brunch place. But our waitress said the two locations are owned and operated separately. They are quite different. We were bummed that they don't even have pumpkin pancakes in the fall like the Flomo location, but she recommended the cinnamon roll pancakes. Redeemed! So here are our thoughts: According to my husband, the scrambled eggs and bacon were even better than Flower Mound's! The sausage patties were great. The regular pancakes were a bit thin, but flavorful. The cinnamon roll pancakes were a revelation, if you can handle that much sugar. They don't even need syrup - there's plenty of icing! Sounds weird, but just try it. This is not our all-time favorite brunch place, but the food was very good, and we will come back. Note: The first time I visited this restaurant, it was NOT good, but I planned to return later to see if they had gotten things figured out. The award for Most Improved Restaurant definitely goes to My Cafe. I'd say it's nothing exceptional, but it's a decent brunch spot. read more

Would've given a better rating but we had to wait a long while for syrup for our pancakes which ended up being cold by the time we were able to eat them. The place is the size you would expect for a cafe, it was nice and clean. Small turn off for some in my group- they ran out of glass water cups and instead served small metal cups which was okay for those who ordered other drinks but not for those who ordered just water. My Cafe is located in the busy shopping area that includes La Madeleine's, Old Chicago, Potbelly Sandwiches and the Stanton Optical Office. In addition to their dining room they also have open, uncovered patio seating. By the looks of the interior this cafe has been around for awhile. The set up of tables and booths is a little crowded with some tables pretty close together. The service on our visit was top notch. We were greeted right away and even though it was super busy it did not take an extremely long time to be seated. We ordered from the breakfast menu but the lunch menu is filled with plenty of tasty looking dishes as well. At our table we were pleased that the eggs were cooked as requested. It's a cute little restaurant, I could see space being an issue if you're looking for a table of 6 on a busy day. The hostess station is extremely small, because of space, and there were two girls constantly standing there. When no one came in, they played on their phones the whole time. I'm almost positive they could have found something to do, given some dirty tables. Unrelated, the bathroom smells weird, but maybe that's not such a big deal, not dining in there. lol Our server was really sweet. Long dark hair in a braid or ponytail, glasses, pretty young. The menu is pretty extensive, great selection. The food was fine, nothing exceptional, but it was good. The biscuits were fairly oily/buttery on the bottom, not very fluffy, maybe because of the oil and butter. The bowl of grits was massive, the photo is deceiving. On our way out, thanked the two hostesses, not sure they even noticed we were walking by. I'm not saying an 18 year old needs my experienced work ethic, but dang... Nice little brunch spot in the Presidio area of North Fort Worth. Location wise this is right by Costco, so if you're looking to grab something to eat beforehand it is right next door. The cafe is nice and quaint - no frills and has a lot of seating. Service was great; wait staff checked in on us regularly and refilled drinks. Considering the area the food is a bit more expensive than other breakfast/brunch places and the portion size is a bit small for the price. I had gotten the chicken fried steak, and the meat was unfortunately quite chewy. I would be willing try again in the coming weeks, but would likely opt against the chicken fried steak. read more

Sadly we didn't have pepper at our table and the waitress didn't make it back to our table until she was dropping off the check. I was EXTREMELY disappointed as I was seeing other people who had ordered berries get berries, where as I paid $2 for 8 blackberries and they literally were on top of the crepes and added no flavor or value to them. The sausage was not to my liking and should I come back I will not order that again. Food was average, very simple brunch place. Was a good experience at first but then the server started adding additional charges to our order that we were not informed of while ordering. We order two kids items (which comes with choice of milk or juice) we picked the orange juice. When the bill came out we got extra charges of $11 bucks. She says the orange juice is not part of the kids menu, only sunny D's juice. No where on the menu does it say anything about Sunny D? Where is the sunny D? Take a look and let me know. We complained to her but she refused to take it off. We also got charged extra toast $3 which was suppose to be part of the entree: she took that off after we told her. Overall food is okay. Average. Good to go if the other brunch places around is too busy. But service sucks, my water was never refilled. Make sure to ask your server about what drinks are included in the kids menu. read more

It was like a super thin grayish stuff that was just odd and so sweet I had a couple bites it was literally making me nauseous. I mentioned this to the waitress. Her response was she is the head waitress so it's her job to let them know in the back, and someone else had told her the same thing. She came back with our check. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. There was a 20 minute wait which was not bad for this time of day. They do have a system set up to where they will call and text you when your table is ready so that you do not have to wait outside or inside. Once we received the service was fine. With being as busy as it was the servers obviously had a lot going on. We got the crêpe combo and the chicken and waffles. The food was just OK. Nothing too spectacular about either meal. In fact, the chicken and waffles was probably a little bit subpar. The chicken was really thin and very heavily breaded. The breading fell off throughout the entire meal and was very much an inconvenience. With all the options for brunch in this area, I'd say there are several better options within close proximity. I was in town for a short weekend trip and needed a good breakfast/brunch place that had gluten free options. My cafe had great reviews and the menu had a lot of GF options so we came in. The wait did increase to 25-30 minutes after we were seated though, so I do recommend coming early or just be prepared to wait. We sat down and our waitress arrived moments later, took our drink order and then we perused the lengthy menu. She came back with my fresh squeezed orange juice which was perfect. No pulp and delicious taste. She also helped us decide what to get, told us what dishes were most popular and her personal favorites. I ended up ordering the all-American with poached eggs, hashbrowns, gf pancakes and chicken apple sausage. I was pleasantly surprised when it came that the portions were reasonable and not massive! I hate wasting food so I was a little worried because most diners give you too much. This was the perfect portion. And the eggs were good, hashbrowns crispy, chicken sausage spicy and flavorful and the pancakes AMAZING. They didnt even taste gluten free! My friend who isnt gf said they were better than the non-gf! Other items ordered included the smoky grits (bacon and cheese included), chicken and waffles, and an omelette. Everything was enjoyed and my friends who live in the area said this might be their new brunch spot. My cafe truly was a great experience, they were efficient with turning over tables and bringing food which was delicious, and the service was friendly. My aunt & uncle wanted to try this cafe instead of us going on their side of town. The only thing they might have regretted was all the traffic on our side of town. It's a nightmare. We (Javier & I) have been here before & that 1st experience wasn't as good as this experience. We were seated much quicker this time but we did get there at 1pm & not at 11 like last time. Only waited 20 minutes vs the 45 minutes the 1st time, so consider that when going & you can't get in line online. That's the only reason I took a star off. Oh also because there are only 2 seats inside to wait so you are either outside in the heat/cold or sitting in your car wasting your precious gas that is more than the price of gold right now! The service was good for being packed. We ordered coffee, juice, & water around the table. On my behalf the coffee was decent. The food. Javier ordered the bacado omelette w/fruit & pancakes. He said it was ok. He gave it a 3. I couldn't taste it because if you read my reviews you would know I don't like eggs unless they are smothered so well I can't taste a hint of egg or unless they are deviled even then, only 1. Ximena ordered the chicken panini. Yes finally she got a real panini. With a salad. She said it was good but I forgot to ask her to rate it & I forgot to get a bite! LOL I can't tell you if it was good or not, only a pic. My aunt Sallie ordered a Tex Mex bowl she called it. By the looks of it the made it look so appealing for someone that loves eggs I'm sure, but for me. Meh! My uncle Bobby ordered the cowboy omelette. Again another egg entree, however he did order grits & gave me a bite of those & I must say they were very creamy & desirably delicious! If I go back I will be ordering a bowl of that yummyness!
