Friendly, relaxing space with great drinks. You can bring in your food, and chill with all your new friends! Everybody does not know my name, but I am bad with names and don't care, they do know my face! They always have fun things planned, painting nights, karaoke, crochet night, readers night, yoga, massages, prom, just to name a few. Kava Culture has a tiny little library to pick up your latest read. They have games you can get out of the lockers up front. You can bring in your laptop and work. If you are really celebrating you can buy a big bowl of your favorite Kava and share! New people are walked through what Kava is, and the entire place will drink with you on your first Bula! They have plenty of information about all of their offerings, check it out for yourself. Enjoy the first group "Bula" for yourself!

Right when we walked in, we were welcomed by the kavatender, Amanda. She was so sweet and when we told her it our first time, she gave us different types of drinks to try. The tikki apple was our fav!! We decided to get mango bango and rappleberry. Great for taking pics of your cool drinks.

A wonderful place to chill; hang out with friends, get some work done, etc! This is a wonderful alternative to alcohol. The drinks are fantastic, and the service is top notch. Highly recommend!

Sherri, the helper behind the bar, was extremely rude and unkind. She failed to say hello, displayed a terrible attitude, and wore it well. She looked angry, annoyed, and acted like she hated her job. In contrast, the other bartender, who was doing 90% of the work--making drinks and serving--had an amazing attitude! She smiled, said hello, made me feel welcome, answered my questions, made me a delicious drink, and checked in on me periodically. She deserves a raise! I don't remember her name, but she was a pleasure! Sherri got upset when I tried to tip the bartender. I paid for my drink, but the Square (or electronic device) timed out before I could add a tip. So, with the bartender's permission, I ran my card a second time. She was very kind and apologized, and I said it was fine, explaining that I wanted to tip her because she works hard and deserves it. Sherri gave me a rude look and stared me up and down, acting as if she was jealous because she wasn't getting a tip. My card was then flagged as a potential fraud alert by my bank because it was run twice within two minutes, and it was locked for eight hours. While I was able to pay for my drink, I couldn't tip the bartender, which I always do. I asked if there was any other way to tip her. We tried Cash App, but she, being so hardworking and kind, refused, saying a tip wasn't necessary. However, I insisted and pushed the issue so that I could tip her. All the while, Sherri was giving us dirty looks and seemed angry, staring at me. After I requested to add the bartender on Cash App, not at her suggestion, but mine, I got her information and said I would send the tip that way. She handed me her phone so I could scan the Cash App QR code. I had the phone sitting in front of me on the bar for a minute or two, struggling with the app and unable to complete adding her to send the tip. Then, Sherri came over and rudely asked, "Can I have that?" She took the phone and said, "You can tip her next time!" I replied, "No, I feel bad. I want to give her a tip. I always tip my bartenders." Sherri turned her back and ignored me. I then walked back to the register to ask if the young lady had Venmo. Sherri looked very upset. She walked over to me and rudely said, "I told you it's not necessary, but thanks anyway. She doesn't need a tip." She acted as if she was the owner of the bar, which maybe she is, I'm not sure. I said, "Why is it your concern? It's none of your business." Sherri then said, "Well, she's working the bar, she's the only server, and you're bothering her!" I replied, "Please don't speak to me. I'm not asking you, and I'm not tipping you. I'm trying to tip her." Sherri then asked me to leave the bar, saying there was no need to be rude with her, which is an absolute lie. Ask the bartender; I was nothing but kind and trying to be generous. I had an amazing experience. It was my first time at this establishment, and I was so happy to receive a clear and scientific explanation of the benefits of Kava and was encouraged to try a cocktail custom-tailored to my current needs (mood, energy, etc.)! I was blown away by the service, loved my drink, loved the other customers, and made several acquaintances. Sadly, because of Sherri and her rudeness and incompetence, I will never return or support this business. To make matters even worse, adding insult to injury, Sherry called the cops on me because I was sitting in my car in the parking lot after she asked me to leave. I never threatened her. I said I would leave. I calmly packed my things and said, 'God bless you,' to the wonderful bartender, who is very kind to me. And I left with a smile on my face. Yes, I sat in my car for more than 30 minutes or so. That time was spent writing this review, which I posted on Yelp and Google, and submitted to the Better Business Bureau. I showed the police these posts when they approached me, and that's what happened. What prompted me to show them these posts was that they were time-stamped. I also showed them my text message to the bartender, which was also time-stamped. I'm telling the truth. I did nothing wrong. I was treated very rudely, and I reported it. That is my right. It is my prerogative. This is what the current political climate and administration are doing: they are inciting violence, and people are antagonizing those who are primarily people of color."

I never knew places like this existed until today. Such a fun atmosphere, the drinks actually help me feel more relaxed but I have zero of the negatives effects that alcohol give. I've been without alcohol for about 5 years so I was very skeptical to try anything I thought could resemble it. The employees and owner helped me feel at ease since they explained what kava is and how it doesn't impair any of your motor functions. Sure enough, they were right. It's nice to have a place I can go to and relax or pick up a drink and head home. Not to mention, the caramel latte was the best I've had.... Maybe ever. Thank you Mia for serving us we will be back soon.

If you're looking for an alternative to alcohol or just want to see what it's all about, come check out Kava Culture. It has a great vibe and a welcoming community.

I met a friend and her son here and was pleasantly surprised by how warm and inviting this place was. They have a section dedicated to games, legos and coloring pages for the kiddos which I appreciate. They have community events, jewelry for sale and stay open late. They have a backdrop wall that has the kava motto "better than booze" in the middle of comfortable egg shaped chairs. Kava was created to advocate for sober living and they offer an array of plant based drinks. Our bartender Desiree gave us the kava experience, including explaining the menu, giving us samples to try and showing us how to customize the drink for our needs. I tried the orange dream and tutti frutti kava which was refreshing. I decided on one of their fall inspired drinks, pumpkin cider with the crushed leaf option and this came with whipped cream. They bathrooms are clean and colorful. After trying my drink, I noticed how calm/euphoric I felt. The drinks are pricey, but worth the treat every once in awhile.

How cool is this place?? A place to relax and unwind that's kid friendly! And you're safe to drive home after! So many wins!

Super cute place! During the day it's a great spot to study, "work from home", or just hangout. There are games for adults and kids, and pets are welcome. The staff is fun, friendly, and knowledgeable, plus the drinks are delicious! Rappleberry Crush and Orange Dream are my top two, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. I highly recommend doing a bula bomb while you're there! Oh, and did I mention they have a Nintendo 64 you can play?! It's definitely our new favorite hangout.

We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious! Very nice place for a date night, if you like sushi you won't be disappointed!

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.

Let's get to the good stuff: -This place has such charm - The coffee, food and pastries I had were good -The price was reasonable -The young guy working behind the counter was super nice. -I love that you can mail à package and grab a coffee and sandwich. The ugly: -The guy behind the counter was working the whole store alone. He was very nice. He did not know how to work the mailing/shipping side. I'm not sure why the owner would leave an employee in the store alone especially when he doesn't know how to run all the services. I watched customers leave because of this. By the time the owner arrived he thought the people who needed a package mailed were going to be waiting on him... not a chance... -I ordered a sandwich, coffee, and a pastry and both were good. The cashier was also the cook. He did a great job with juggling everything but he should not have been left alone. I decided to take my items to go because I didn't want to watch him struggle while trying to have a peaceful lunch. - Food handling practices were not being followed but when you're doing it all, it's hard to remember not to use the same rag you wiped à table with on a dish you're about to serve. Or to wash your hands to avoid cross contamination. Or not sharing yourself with others food by properly covering while coughing or sneezing. Overall, worth a visit but not a place to run back to.
