I'm at a loss for words for how good this was. ZERO complaints. None. Our server was fantastic and everything was prepared to PEAK expectations. Fish and chips was light and buttery, drinks were balanced, burger was tender and thick... we're already planning to come back to try the pizza pretzel. We were sat immediately the day before 4th of July too! My boyfriend isn't a fan of seafood, so I'm really glad we had an option like this on the seawall because it didn't seem like there were many non-seafood options. Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!! New all time fav restaurant hands down

Love sitting out on the patio here, but the inside is really cool too. Service is always friendly! Good food - huge portions.

Amazing Egg Rolls- Honey Mustard Sauce to dip em in and a sweet tangy red sauce! Incredible Appetizer Baja Shrimp Taco - masterfully off the chain! Crunchy Shrimp loaded with Bang Bang Sauce, fresh greens, fried wontons in a warm tortilla. Hot fries as the side. Top it off with a cold Tiki Wheat and call me a cab! I ain't walkin outta here because I'm Stuft!

We came here twice because my husbands favorite movie is tombstone and favorite character is doc... the ambiance is awesome - loved all the aesthetics and decor. The food was pretty good!! Burger was decent, the dip was good (a little heavy on the onion side but tasty) the side salad was actually super refreshing and tasty, I was surprised. The egg rolls were good. The quesadillas were yummy. They have a full bar and seating at the bar. They have a back area that looks like it can be rented out for parties. Good parking lot right off the Seawall with the beach view. Outdoor area has a couple tables covered under the patio and then a lot of seating uncovered. Friendly staff and service! I recommend for the experience, especially if you're a western/tombstone fan :)

Food and Service were both excellent. We went during a storm and even though the kitchen power went out we still got our food pretty quickly. We shared the ribs topped with onion and the baked potato and steamed broccoli. We had an Onion rings tower as a side and even sharing we could not finish it. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The ribs were falling off the bones. Would definitely like to come back and try more of the menu items. Decor and ambiance were adorable both inside and out.

Another great find in Galveston, TX. The restaurant is spectacularly decorated inside and out. We were a very large group and the wait staff did an amazing job of getting everyone's orders filled together. And, the food was great. Super fun restaurant!

True to fashion, the movie Tombstone is playing on several screens plus sports. Well decorated to fit their theme. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was well prepared and delicious. Will visit again next time I'm in town.

Doc Holliday's saved the day! We had a large party (12) last week and our dinner plans fell through at another place. They took us in and we were seated almost right away! The western ambience is just fabulous! The little ones went crazy over the animals. (Great photo ops). The food was so delicious and the service was wonderful. We already plan to go back with some other family members. The club sandwich was a huge hit, steak salad, taco salad just to name a few. My nephew (who is an amazing cook) says the best pork chop you will ever eat is here. And 2 summers in a row! Ha! This is a must try place.

OK to start off let me just say the reason why we came to this restaurant was simply the name huge tombstone, Doc Holliday fans. We was extremely surprised that the restaurant was just as awesome on the inside as it was outside and then to have the food match that same level was crazy. you normally don't get a restaurant that is themed like this that really meets all the boxes. From the start we were greeted by a couple of workers that were extremely friendly made us feel welcome. Got us to a table within seconds. We were there at 4 o'clock cause we wanted to get there for happy hour. Our waiter was extremely helpful. Very funny gave us recommendations and let's just say he knew his stuff. The food was amazing. Not one of us had to complain about our food. My daughter is a very picky eater and when we made a modifications on her food, there was no issues. It came out exactly how she wanted it and she loved it!!! we all left extremely full and brought two to go containers back to the hotel During happy hour there were specific things on the menu that was only $12 which is what we came for not realizing that it literally was so much food! Love it will be back

Was in Galveston for a girls weekend and we randomly picked Doc Holliday's--so glad we did! The western/cowboy theme is super fun, from the decor to the names on the menu. Loved the vibe right away. I ordered the Cowboy Mojito and it was adorable--and delicious! It had a fun twist with ginger beer that made it really refreshing. For food, I got the crispy coconut shrimp, bacon mac and cheese, and corn casserole. The shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. That chili dipping sauce? So good. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the corn casserole was the star--especially with that sweet, buttery topping (reminded me of Texas Roadhouse's butter!). Our server, David, was awesome--super friendly and gave great recs (like the mojito and corn casserole). He checked in just the right amount without hovering. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town. I might've just found my new favorite Galveston spot!

First and foremost, we had a great waiter. He had great energy and enthusiasm, took our order with great care due to one in our party with a food allergy. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us regularly. The food was fantastic. It came out hot and in great portions. I highly recommend this place to any family or group of people needing a place to unwind from a day at the beach. We will be back with the entire family.

We wanted something different on the island and found this gem on Yelp. My kids loved the atmosphere. The review photos looked so good we had to go for the prime rib burger. It was so good. Felt like it was missing a little seasoning, but it was still fabulous. Hubby got the prime rib dip and enjoyed it. Their fries are good. Both kids ordered kids meals and the portions were huge!! Well worth it. I just wish we had left room for their amazing dessert menu!!

I've been visiting since I was a little girl, and coming back reminded me exactly why it's such a staple on the Strand. This place has been part of Galveston for generations, and it still delivers that same magic. It's always busy, always full of energy, and there's truly something here for everyone. The candy shop alone is worth the stop--rows of old-fashioned sweets, fresh confections, and that nostalgic atmosphere you just don't find anymore. The divinity is divine, and the ice cream is just as good as I remembered. I had the lemon custard (so good!), my brother got a scoop of chocolate on a cone, and my friend ordered cinnamon. My mom insisted she didn't want anything...until she tried my friend's cinnamon. She loved it so much she immediately went and got her own, which says everything. And for $5 a scoop, two could easily share. This is one of those must-stop places when you're on the Island. Whether you're there for the ice cream, the candy, or just the experience, it never disappoints. A+.

I got a t-shirt too that I wore for years until it was ultimately retired. I actually wrote a Yelp review about it that I deleted. In it, I said "The smell of the waffle cones filled the place with smiles and enjoyment. I knew I wanted a waffle cone." What a terrible critic. He will never be Yelp Elite. I haven't been back to Hey Mikey's since then, just because I haven't really been back to Galveston in some time, but my memories of the unique ice cream flavors and toppings remained. Heading back to Galveston for a cruise, I wanted to try and make a stop there again for nostalgia's sake. Instead of heading to the Airbnb, my girlfriend and I drove straight to Hey Mikey's as our first stop in Galveston. We got there around 8:45 pm, which was 15 minutes before they closed (our fault). This is no diss to Hey Mikey's, but almost everything else on The Strand on a Thursday night closes way too early, so it felt like everyone was at Hey Mikey's. The line was extensive in front of us and behind us even after it closed. After waiting through the line for quite some time, I got a waffle cone with their cereal milk ice cream, which had Fruity Pebbles in it, topped with Lucky Charms. They gave it to me with a temperature-changing plastic spoon that turned from yellow to purple when cold. The ice cream was sensational. What an incredible flavor. The only downside was the waffle cone being a little stale, but I fault that to it being a waffle cone ordered right at closing time. The next night, I returned with my cousins and ordered a cup of cereal milk ice cream with Cocoa Puffs as the topping instead. Fantastic stuff. Once again, being there too close to closing meant we had to wait, and we didn't get our ice cream until 9:30, a full 30 minutes after they closed. It was nice that they still served us though! One thing I did notice, which I don't know if it's a normal thing, is that since Hey Mikey's is the only ice cream shop open past 8 o'clock on most weeknights, they seem to get a lot of foot traffic after that time. Their menu is pretty large in its offerings. If it were just scoops of ice cream, the line would move fast, but so many people were ordering shakes, which are a lot more labor-intensive and removed a staff member from their assembly line to focus on the shake. I don't have any advice on how they could easily move the line in the later hours of the night, but man, those kids are working their butts off for everyone to get their late-night sweet treat. Hey Mikey's, you are just as good as I remember.
