Just wanted to give another update and add a couple pictures I took last time I was there. They hosted rooftop Pilates and we had a blast even though it was hot. We had a cocktail afterwards in the lobby area to reward ourselves. They also have a dog YAPPY hour and adoption events! I love this place.

Came out to watch a friend's band play. Showed up a little early bc I was hungry. My friend and I split the burger and it was delicious, as were the fries. We also ordered chocolate chip cookies and they were just as good! Watching my friend's band play was the cherry on top!

Been here a couple times just to grab some drinks with the girls and it's always a good time! Their fries and drinks are so yummy and the service is always rlly amazing. I haven't personally stayed at the Hotel myself but the decor is so cute and honestly very chic. I love their rooftop and sometimes they have live music on the weekends which is especially nice when the weather is great! I've heard they do drag brunch's too!

Decided to have a splurge of a weekend using our points but discovered it was better to show up last minute and see if they have openings. Of course that means moving rooms daily so to us that wasn't worth it with a three year old. Let's talk about what I like to talk about best-parking. 1) Parking: They have a lot that is a tight freaking squeeze. Large trucks were parked in there as we are in Texas and it made my nerves bad. Luckily there was parking along the building on 10th street that the front desk said we could park at even though it says two hour resident parking. 2) Food: all day happy hour on Monday and we got fried pickles but the batter was still on them so we sent them back and they came back too fried. The smoked fish dip didn't have any smoked fish in it or so it seem and basically tasted like cream cheese only. We did not have a chance to try The Fancy which I have heard is really good so just know that the bar food might make you a little sad. 3). Room: Spectacular. I loved all of the little touches and the retro vibe and thank god for the concrete floors. Most hotels in Galveston have that dank smell with a hint of mildew but not this place. Everything was clean and towels were plush and fresh and I loved the two bathrobes. Our beds and pillows were super comfortable. Our only hang up was the curtains which weren't enough to cover the entire window to block out the light completely. Also we were facing the pool and have a little one who needed to nap but we made it work. It was quite loud during the day as you can imagine with people in the pool. We loved the feel of this hotel and how small an intimate it was. Everyone was very friendly and kind and we were able to explore all of the spaces without going too far. The deck was beautiful was sunset and a great place for the kids to run around. People seemed upset our kids were up there but you know what? You're entitled to not have kids if you so choose but you're not entitled to live in a kid free world. That's my schpiel. To be fair there were only four kids total on property when we were there and one was just using a day pass. I also failed to mention that it is literally right across the street from Poretto Beach which was really nice because we could have a pool day or a beach day or both without having to walk too far or drive.

Really great ambience and great service! We came for a book club event and even with how many of us there were, there was hardly a wait for anything we ordered! The food and drinks we tried were really great too!

Beautiful hotel, the staff is super friendly and attentive. Yummy drinks and food! Highly recommend for a fun night out

    Cute hotel with pool area.

Hotel Lucine surpassed our expectations! The rooms were clean and super cute. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The pool was heated and Clean. To top it all off we were leaving super early and although they usually put the complimentary coffee out at 6am they put it out early for us to have on our way out without us even asking. A small kindness but a much appreciated one! On top of all that they clean rooms daily, provide entertainment on the weekends, and in general were happy to open doors and welcome us in and on our way out every time we returned or left the hotel. 5 stars all the way. We will be back!

Came back to visit for lunch after not being here in a year. It's unfortunate to see that the menu changed and there's not as many food options available. Also sad to say that a lot of the food options were not the healthiest. However, the service for remains Superb. The den area still has the cozy, casual and intimate vibe. It wasn't too crowded and there wasn't a long wait at all. Hopefully they will add more things the menu for the den area.

Hotel is stunning! Beach vibes, mid mod. Most adorable little pool situation. We didn't stay on super busy nights so we had zero noise issues. Also the restaurant had a cowboy salad thing that was delish!

Cute, intimate, boutique hotel. It's perfect for a girls or couples trip. The attention to service is a priority. Asli and Keiara truly made us feel like a priority, thank you!! Keiara is an artist with craft cocktails. She is knowledgeable of the hotels interesting history and the local area.

Hotel Lucine is the perfect getaway for a girl's trip! The ambiance and decor are chic with a mid century charm. Staff is very friendly and welcoming as well. The bar drinks and coffee were also divine. I'd love to give it a 5 star stay but the first day the pool was super cloudy (being a pool owner I do know it's hard to keep chemicals balanced with the salt atmosphere). Also due to it being a refurbished hotel the a/c and Texas heat was a problem. The rooms didn't get very cool at times. Overall for the price point it's a perfect little getaway!

Love coming here for a more upscale drink vibe. I also really like that they serve food at the bar. Their fries are a go to order of mine and you can get them with as many condiments as you want! Really appreciate the server who recommended ordering burger sauce with my fries, now I never go without.

So other than the service being a little slow, the place was really cute. The ambience is amazing. I love the big chandelier. It gives you old-time rich vibes. Their menu has different options. They do have a vegetarian portion. The samosas were kind of like beef, taco mimosas that's what it taste like to me. They're red fish was really good cause the crab crusted on the outside and the sauce mixed together. I definitely recommend getting that if you like fish. I got it with a side of mac & cheese. It does come with veggies, but they let you change out the side. My mom got the margarita pizza and I've had pizza for sure but they do have five or six options of pizzas to choose from. And all the best thing was the bread pudding. Definitely get that save some room. It was warm with ice cream and the perfect bread pudding. I've ever had get it. There is street parking after six. It's free. There's a garage parking too. I don't know how much it costs. Besides the service, everything was really good. It took them a while to fill up our waters, but I did notice they were shortstaffed.

The entrance is so fun and charming. I love how 50s hula music is playing while you enter the bar. The hula girl wallpaper in the bathroom also plays well into the theme. One of my friends was six months pregnant at the time and found the mocktail selection to be really good. We were quite full from dinner but didn't mind the snack offerings. I explained I'm gluten intolerant, and the bartender went through the snack pairings I could have. My drink (Speaky Tiki Old Fashioned) came with the rice, and it was so, so good. We actually plan on coming back this weekend, and I'm salivating at the thought of the crispy rice. Don't skip out on this place! It's one of the best speakeasies I've been to.

Well, well, well, Pineapple Parlor, aren't you a sight for sore eyes?…read morePineapple Parlor is a tiki speakeasy lounge offshoot off Daiquiri Time Out in historic downtown Galveston (former Red Light District, in fact). I mean what better place for a tiki bar than a beach town? The drinks menu is as extensive as DTO. They've got the tiki standards, Zombie and Painkiller as well as a slew of others. The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. Drinks are served in classic tiki glassware. I dig the vibe here real hard. It's rad. Decor is thatched walls, huts, voodoo, fire, and skulls. Mood lighting enhances the overall theme. The bartenders and servers are super cool. Visiting once just wasn't enough. In the words of The Terminator, "I'll Be Back".
